Master of the brave.

Regular Crusade Mission

Qualified students of associate knights affiliated with the Knights School may receive assignments from the Knights.

One of them was a regular crusade mission.

Contents include demons such as goblins and oaks lurking in mountainous areas and forests and the crusade of low-level warcraft.

Although the Demon King was defeated by the brave and the movements of the high ranking demons and warcraft were no longer seen, there is much damage caused by the lower demons regardless of those things.

To this end, the Knights had regular crusades about twice a year.

This mission is just the right way to gain real-life experience for the students who became associate knights.

This year, Rock Marine, who became an associate knight, had also been ordered to participate in the mission.

"So, Wynn. accompany me."

"I don't know what that means, but I have a job to do and I'm not even a quasi-knight before that, am I?

When he came back to the room in a whim, Rock told Wynn that he was back in the room first.

"Periodic crusade missions can be held for a month depending on where they are conducted. What are you gonna do with the class?!?

"Anyway, the discipline can be dotted to some extent, right? Wouldn't it be better to actually get on a mission and have some real combat experience than to be training?

"Yes, it is."

Whatever, it's the fourth year.

As far as pedagogy is concerned, it would be possible to take some points in the exam.

Locke threw his jacket out to bed and then sat down on the floor when he took the sword he had erected against the wall.

The sword in your hand is not a training knight sword that Winn usually uses, but an Imperial Army official knight sword.

Surprisingly engraved with grant magic letters on the sword body, it is a magic sword officially equipped by the Imperial Knights for use against demons.

Demons such as goblins and cobolts, or low-level warcraft created by wildlife being offended by anger, increase in number by breeding in the same way as humans and animals.

Since the demons thus born have physical flesh, attacks by normal weapons also prevail.

However, intermediate and higher demons, warcraft born by demon kings and high-ranking demons, cannot do damage in a physical way because they are beings born with a nucleus imparted to a mass of temper.

The only way to do damage to them is to attack them by magic or use a magical weapon.

Here was the reason why bows and arrows and spears, which are more effective in the battle between humans than in ancient times, are not effective against demons.

There is also the magic of granting magic, but hanging magic on each and every arrow is inefficient, and even if you grant it to a weapon during combat, there is also the issue of the length of effect time.

Therefore, a means is taken to engrave letters directly into the sword body, but the steel used for that sword is also used by special purification methods to improve the conduction efficiency of magic.

There is a wide margin of time in battle, and user-friendly spears for human opponents are often unable to carve magic letters because the pattern is wooden.

Some spears were created with metal that was refined up to the pattern itself, but there were various problems, such as weight problems and costs, which were not very common.

Regardless, some of the legends also existed powerful demon spears......

The Imperial Army Official Knight Sword was the cheapest of magic swords, only to wrap magic around the sword body to increase cleavage and strength, but it would not be given by the country unless it was more than a quasi-knight.

Rock had already taken care of that sword, which was still unused and brand new.

Winn stares with an enviable look at Rock, who is still loosening his mouth while polishing his sword.

Because being given a knight's sword for yourself is the first step toward an admired knight.

"But I want to at least attend a somatological subject where I can get a dot, because magic practice-related subjects are equal to total annihilation? And I want to earn my living, and I'm not gonna make a hole in my job."

Winn still works at the 'Migratory Bird Pavilion' after class.

The caterer at the peak of the night is the main job, but suddenly he must be quite complained about Hannah being tough on the job if he gets out for a long time.

Worst case scenario, I'm fired.

Even if not, the tuition here is expensive.

Apart from his work at the 'Migratory Bird Pavilion', I wanted to refrain from this task of long-term detention for Wynn, who is using his holidays to make money by making chores and making simple requests in his face to the Adventurer Guild.

But...

"Yeah, but you don't have to worry about the money, do you?

When he stopped the hand polishing his sword, he nodded one satisfactorily at the brilliance of its blade, and Locke returned the sword to his sheath.

"Maybe in a few days, I'll get you an order, too."

"What? Why?

"Because the prospective participant in this assignment had the name of Wynn"

"Why!?

Indeed, orders for assignments may be given by the Knights if they are judged to have more than a certain strength, even if they are all Knights candidates.

Even the candidates, from the Knights - I mean, if it's a formal assignment from the Empire, they get paid even if they're not quasi-knights.

If that's the case, there's no longer any financial problems for Winn, and if it's a formal order, the job just has to be taken off.

Though...

"I've never had a mission like this before."

"Isn't that evidence that the ratings have come up?

The students attending this cavalier school are children of good blood.

The overall rating of the less enchanted Wynn was low in this school, which has all the holders of higher magic due to marriages between aristocrats and wealthy people.

Not all knights were strong in magic, as some knights were often promoted by knocking up from soldiers on the battlefield, but the low magic worked to the detriment of Wynn, who attended Knights School.

"Well... I hope so"

It's a devastating achievement in terms of magical practical skills, but Winn does better in terms of other disciplines than the nobles there.

I've been taking classes seriously, and even if not, it's my fourth year.

Even in melee fights, they are able to cross more than just each other with their reinforced opponents.

From rock to rock, it makes me wonder why Wynn can't be a quasi-knight.

"Well, you mean whoever's watching is watching."

"Do I have anyone else who's a candidate to join me?

"I think there's been a few of them. But Winn, this is a mission, but in some cases it's also a chance to get promoted to associate knight."

Tightening his niggered mouth, Rock turns back to Winn.

Knight candidates, even in the capacity of associate knights, they are both students.

Although there is a mission, there is a practical aspect to it.

"It's going to be a real battle, if you can make it work, it's going to be a shortcut to the knight."

As Rock put it, the result will be a proven achievement above all else.

"I know. But I'll be careful not to get out of my way in a hurry."

The next day, a warrant arrives in Winn.

As Rock said, it was an order to join this regular crusade mission.

Streets connecting Shimrug, the Imperial capital, to the neighboring city of Crenado.

Winn, who had ordained a regular crusade mission, was advancing his horse with students who became rocks and quasi-knights, as well as several righteous knights.

This platoon, mixed with immature students, is assigned this neighborhood close to the relatively less dangerous imperial capital.

And crusades had been carried out by platoons organized with orthodox knights to places such as the border that were difficult for people to reach.

The Wins have twenty students participating.

Plus four knights dispatched from Imperial Capital, plus six righteous knights from the local fort, were scheduled to become one platoon.

One line goes down the street while advancing the horse.

Unlike some nervous students somewhere, right knights have an extra look.

From time to time we chat, we move on with our steps.

Wynn saw the orthodox knights walking forward as they proceeded side by side with Rock and Horse.

The leading Orthodox knight was an Orthodox knight of noble origin named Najer and captain of this platoon.

Is it about the middle of thirty?

He is wearing a long, skinny body with similar armor.

Next to it a young horseman lined up another horse, behind which Jade was advancing a single horse.

It is very rare for a son of a senior aristocrat like him to take part in these tasks.

I remember Rock being very surprised when I saw him when we assembled in the Knights School square.

"Dude, why is Master Jade in on this? I guess even dragons come out..."

"Stop it... it's not even on the edge"

It was also a win to understand that Rock would say that unexpectedly.

But because of his participation, there were rarely many aristocratic associate knights on this assignment.

They are also dressed in armor similar to new.

But strangely, they never spoke to Jade, and Jade was walking alone.

It is rare that he is acting without being surrounded.

Jade is a student but holds this assignment as a true knight.

Something flickers the power, Rock credited him as a disgusting guy, but I'm a little impressed with changing his attitude when it comes to the assignment.

Jade was just staring forward at the rear of the two senior knights and advancing the horse.

"Captain Nagel, there were rumors there'd be burglars around here, but they wouldn't attack us, would they?

One of the students walking in front of the Winns spoke up.

"There is no such thing as a bandit attacking a group of righteous knights and armed, albeit students"

Nagel replies looking back at the student's voice.

"In the first place, bandits attack merchants with money. Raiding the armed forces won't do you any good."

"I see."

Don't worry about it.

When a young knight in his mid-twenties or so, lined up beside Nagel, looked back at the tense students, he pulled out his sword and let it hoist in heaven.

"Whether you're a burglar or a demon, you just have to crusade."

When I wave one sword, I smile at the students.

"Don't pull out your sword, Ill."

A voice that passes hard and well when you see it arrives from the rear of a line.

It was the last of the righteous knights - Aldo - walking without talking to anyone in their line of lords.

Yes, Aldo, the instructor, was also in this platoon.

The instructors are also righteous knights.

Unlike the other three armors, that figure is obviously floating from the other three, dressed in armor that has been used and scratched and cared about around.

"I'm not playing. Stay alert and stay ahead."

Ill lay a little tongue on Aldo's point and hand over the sword.

"Is that how you feel on the battlefield? Aldo."

When Nagel looks back, he stares at Aldo.

"The words of the Knight of War, who has just returned from the front line, weigh a lot. But the Ills pulled out their swords to inspire everyone. It's an act of transcendence that ignores me."

Aldo turns down and becomes silent.

Look at that. Nagel smiles disgustingly and slaps one Ill shoulder.

The young knight also smiled as he glimpsed Aldo again.

"Something, I don't like this..."

Cornelia is the one who's been whispering horses next to Wynn.

She was also a Cavalier candidate, but had been selected for this assignment.

Only two Cavalier candidates and members were in the membership: Winn and Cornelia.

nature and she was also starting to act with Rock and Win.

Originally, she seemed to be avoided by the other students, so it was natural to do so.

"Teachers are tough, too. That guy got a handle on the front line and became a knight, because he's from a civilian."

Rock whispers as he lines up his horse in the opposite position to Cornelia.

"But don't bring these relationships into the field. I saved Jade's life."

The certainty between an aristocratic knight from the centre and a knight of civilian origin back on the front lines is hidden.

Only Jade was silent among them, but the other quasi-knights also seem to favor the position of Nagel and Ill, either because of the large number of aristocrats.

Usually, some students are giggling when they see Aldo yelling at them being interacted with the other way around.

How long have you been somewhat intimate in earlier conversations, and some of the students came out talking to Nagel and Ill.

To get away from them like that, the Wins positioned the horse in front of Aldo - backwards.

Ask him how Aldo is, but he's been advancing the horse without saying a word since then.

When I proceeded for half an hour feeling somewhat unpleasant, I could see a boneless stone little fortress ahead of me.

That was where this platoon was supposed to be based.
