The locked door finally swung open. The moment it did, the faces of everyone inside contorted in terror.

Outside stood a large contingent of Men in Black, every single one of them holding a gun.

Trying to escape through the main gate was now utterly impossible!

When Catherine Callahan saw Quentin Grant slowly walking toward the entrance, her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and she fainted dead away from fright.

"Men, take her away." A few Men in Black were dispatched to load Catherine Callahan’s body into a car.

Quentin Grant looked down at the still-bleeding wound on Nora Ainsworth’s arm, his heart aching for her.

"I told you not to push yourself, but you insisted..."

Nora Ainsworth offered a faint smile. "Otherwise, how would we have caught them? Quentin, since it’s come to this, there’s no reason to hide it anymore. Let’s go back and lay everything bare. We can’t afford to waste any more time—not with the children."

He nodded. "Get in the car. We need to bandage that first."

The few survivors inside were taken away at the same time. The bodies of those Nora Ainsworth had killed were disposed of, dumped in a mass grave. Two hours later, the banquet hall was restored to its original state.

One by one, the cars pulled up in front of Luna Ainsworth’s villa.

Two Men in Black dragged Catherine Callahan’s body into the living room and dumped it on the floor.

Claire Sinclair and Luna Ainsworth both shot to their feet in alarm.

"What is going on?!"

Quentin Grant’s expression was cold as ice. "What’s going on? Why don’t you ask your fake wife? The one who sent three assassins to the banquet to have Nora and Sierra killed."

Luna Ainsworth turned to look at Claire Sinclair. Ever the seasoned veteran of such confrontations, Claire didn’t show the slightest hint of panic. "Quentin, you’d better be able to back up those words. What proof do you have that I did this? Why would I want to murder my own daughter?"

"Proof? Your daughter? Claire, for years you’ve been impersonating your sister, stealing her husband, abusing her daughters, and reveling in her status. You still want proof? If you really want proof, then we can have a paternity test done—one for Catherine Callahan and my godfather, and another for my godfather and Nora and Sierra. There’s your proof."

Claire Sinclair remained perfectly calm, turning to Luna Ainsworth. "Luna, do you really think I’m an imposter? A DNA test? Don’t you think I know you’ve already bribed the testing facility?"

Luna Ainsworth studied her carefully, then rounded on Quentin Grant. "Did you come to my home just to disrupt its peace and harmony? If that’s the case, then please leave at once. You are not welcome here."

Nora Ainsworth had guessed correctly. He didn’t believe them; he only believed the woman he thought was his wife.

She turned, unfastened the dragon Jade Pendant from Sierra’s neck and the phoenix Jade Pendant from her own. She walked forward and presented them to Luna Ainsworth. "Do you recognize these?"

Luna Ainsworth slapped the Jade Pendants out of her hand. "You bring a fake here and expect it to prove something? I’ve already seen Catherine’s Jade Pendant. Why would I need to look at your counterfeits?"

Sierra Ainsworth’s eyes were red with tears. "Dad! This is my real sister! Catherine Callahan is Claire Sinclair’s daughter with her previous husband! How can you be so blind to the truth!"

Luna Ainsworth pointed toward the staircase. "Get upstairs, now!"

"I’m not going anywhere! I’m staying right here with my sister!" Sierra Ainsworth then took off her shoe, rolled up her pant leg, and sneered amid Luna Ainsworth’s shock. "Do you see this? It was hacked off with an ax by that dear wife of yours. Did you think I wouldn’t even recognize my own mother? Or did you think everyone else is as blind as you are?!"

Luna Ainsworth stared at her leg, unable to process what he was seeing for a long moment. ’How could I not know my own daughter was missing a foot?’

Nora Ainsworth bent down, picked up the two Jade Pendants he had knocked to the floor, and hung them back around Sierra’s neck and her own.

"Claire Sinclair, I will settle the score for what you did to my mother all those years ago—whether she’s dead or alive. But right now, if you don’t tell me the whereabouts of my twin sons, then this ends with one of us dead tonight! I, Nora Ainsworth, always keep my word. Did you really think I’d come here unprepared?"

Claire Sinclair was completely unfazed. "Nora Ainsworth, I see right through you. You’re trying to use Quentin to seize the Ainsworth Group’s fortune, but I won’t let you succeed."

"Even now, you’re still desperately clinging to your lies. Such skill. You not only had Faye Sinclair’s husband wrapped around your little finger, but you also managed to deceive the entire world. Well, today we lay our cards on the table. The acting is over. I have three thousand elite soldiers stationed outside. If you don’t tell me where my children are, I will take your life and your beast of a daughter’s life tonight, at any cost!"

Luna Ainsworth felt as if he were lost in a fog, completely unable to tell who was telling the truth.

The only thing he could be certain of was that Sierra, whom he had watched grow up, was without a doubt his own daughter.

He had noticed long ago that she had stopped smiling, stopped talking, and stopped acting playfully affectionate with him.

He had simply chalked it all up to teenage angst.

Luna Ainsworth’s eyes welled with tears. He crouched down by Sierra Ainsworth’s side, reached out a trembling hand, and touched her prosthesis. "Sierra, when did this happen?"

"What’s the point in asking me? You won’t believe me anyway. A man who doesn’t even notice when the woman sleeping beside him has been replaced—what right do you have to call yourself a father or a husband? My mother was blind to have ever fallen for you."

Her words pierced Luna Ainsworth’s heart, causing him immense pain.

He lifted his face and asked again, "I’m asking you as your father, when did this happen to your leg?"

Nora Ainsworth shot Sierra Ainsworth a look. Sierra dropped her defiant attitude and said, "Ten years ago, during the few days you were away on a business trip to Kaelen."

Luna Ainsworth’s mind instantly flashed back. He remembered that after he returned from that business trip, he hadn’t seen Sierra for a long time. When he finally did, she had become almost completely silent.

He stood up, turned, and struck Claire Sinclair with a vicious slap across the face. "I’m asking you, when I came back from that trip to Kaelen and couldn’t find Sierra for weeks, what did you tell me?"

For the first time, Claire Sinclair looked flustered. She clutched her face, tears streaming from her eyes. "That was so long ago. How am I supposed to remember?"

"You told me Sierra had gone to spend the summer at Quentin’s family home in Fravia."

Quentin Grant spoke up. "Sierra has never once set foot in my home."

Only then did Claire Sinclair realize the truth could no longer be contained.

But she would never admit it.

"Then Sierra must have been lying. I don’t track her every move. How was I supposed to know where she really went?"

Luna Ainsworth’s head was splitting with pain.

But he was desperate to find the truth.

"Even if Quentin could bribe every testing lab in the country, there is one place he absolutely cannot touch. I want the truth. Everyone, get in the cars."

Nora Ainsworth and Quentin Grant exchanged a glance. They had their men bring Claire Sinclair and Catherine Callahan along as everyone got into the cars and drove to the office of the one specialist who exclusively handles paternity tests for the nation’s Supreme Leader.
