Chapter 941: Don’t Be Angry
Police station?
These two words made Julian Ford lose interest in continuing the meeting.
No, it was already odd when Finn Chandler barged in.
"Let’s adjourn the meeting here for today and continue tomorrow."
Julian Ford announced as the board members exchanged glances. Julian was always thorough in his tasks and would never easily interrupt an important meeting.
They got up and walked past Finn Chandler, this woman was alluring and yet did things that were disruptive.
Oh no! Could it be that their Mr. Ford was straying further down the path of a foolish ruler?
The board members left one by one, and the secretary tactfully withdrew. The only one who didn’t get the hint was Fiona Ford.
Fiona Ford didn’t want to leave!
She had just been harshly slapped by Finn Chandler, so one could imagine the amount of anger and hatred boiling inside her!
She was adopted and indeed not favored by the Wife of the Eldest Master Ford in the Ford Family.
However, in the eyes of others, she was the rightful Eldest Miss Ford. Since when was it acceptable for a woman of unknown background to slap her!
Fiona’s manners and restraint were exemplary, even though her face burned with pain, she could still smile faintly.
"Julian, it seems that Chloe had encountered something very important, otherwise she wouldn’t have barged into the meeting to interrupt you, nor would she have been angry enough to hit me!"
While speaking, Fiona’s eyes reddened with discomfort, she lightly touched her cheek with her hand, reminding herself that the mark on her face was left by Chloe Finch.
Chloe Finch not only barged in for no reason but also hit someone.
A girl like this has no upbringing at all!
"Julian."
Seeing Julian Ford staring at Finn Chandler, Fiona softened her voice and continued, "Please don’t be angry with Chloe over this, Chloe must have..."
"An urgent matter."
Finn Chandler, unable to listen anymore, rudely interrupted her, "Eldest Miss Ford, everyone else has left, please leave as well."
"I have something to talk about with Julian."
The matter they were going to discuss wasn’t something that couldn’t be seen, or something Fiona Ford couldn’t know.
However, with Fiona Ford around, Finn Chandler felt completely uncomfortable.
"Ha!"
Fiona forced a laugh, having no intention of leaving.
This was The Ford Corporation; it wasn’t for Chloe Finch to call the shots here.
But then, Julian Ford spoke.
"Sister, please step out first!"
Julian Ford’s voice softened as he looked at Fiona Ford beside him.
"Julian, I..."
"Out!"
Julian Ford’s voice grew colder, and Fiona trembled at his words, seeing the chill in his eyes, feeling a stab in her heart. No matter how unwilling she was, she had to turn and leave.
As she exited the meeting room, Fiona turned to look at the closed doors of the meeting room, her smile faded instantly. She took out her phone to check the news online.
With such a big incident happening to Chloe Finch, how could she not fan the flames!
"What’s wrong?"
Left alone in the meeting room with Julian Ford, Finn Chandler was asked, "What happened?"
"Was your meeting decided on the spot, or was it pre-scheduled?"
Finn didn’t respond directly, instead, she asked Julian Ford.
Julian paused, not understanding why Finn brought up his meeting.
"It was originally set for tomorrow," Julian replied, "but it was moved up on short notice."
"This meeting was very important, so you couldn’t check your phone."
Finn asked again.
"Yes."
The more Julian listened to Finn, the stranger it felt, he reached out to hold her hand, "What exactly happened?"
"You didn’t call me."
