Just as Serena Sullivan had anticipated, Mrs. Kane knew that Mr. Kane’s shares were bought by Simon Sterling, and she rushed from Kane Group to the room of The Dowager Kane.

The Dowager Kane lay on the bed, turned her head slightly when she saw her come in, and glared at her with her eyes.

Who could imagine that The Dowager Kane, who once dominated the Imperial Capital, tightly holding Kane Group in her grasp and forcing Simon Sterling to toil for them, would one day be bedridden and vulnerable to bullying?

"You should leave."

Mrs. Kane instructed the servant to leave. The obedient servant left the room but paused at the door, secretly taking out a phone and pointing it towards the room.

Inside the room, Mrs. Kane sneered as she looked at The Dowager Kane and threw a contract over.

"Sign this transfer agreement."

Getting the Dowager to sign seemed impossible.

First, she was unwilling, and second, the Dowager could no longer hold a pen.

Mrs. Kane had long wanted to forcibly press the Dowager’s handprint but held back for fear of Kane Group gossip.

Now, she could not afford to care about anything else.

If Simon Sterling took Kane Group, what would she have left!

The Dowager Kane still glared at Mrs. Kane, mumbling indistinctly, "You... you..."

Wayne Jennings’ death had shocked the Dowager, but more importantly, she learned from Mrs. Kane’s mouth that Wayne was not a member of the Kane Family.

Moreover, she learned that all these years, Mrs. Kane had been enduring silently, harboring an illegitimate daughter outside who had always been coveting Kane Family’s wealth.

Now, the Dowager’s wish to retaliate was futile.

"There’s no need to hate me this much! Everything I’ve done is for the Kane Family."

"Simon Sterling wants Kane Group; if it has to go, it might as well be given to him."

Mrs. Kane didn’t treat the Dowager politely as before. She directly grabbed the Dowager’s trembling hand and pressed it onto the share transfer document.

Looking at the completed share transfer document, she felt enormously pleased with herself.

Next, a stockholder meeting was convened, where it was announced that she held the largest share of the Kane Group. That day, as Serena was busy with her own work in the studio, she received a video from Ethan Grant.

Upon opening it, she found that Kane Group was holding a stockholder meeting.

In the conference room, Mrs. Kane sat proudly, giving cold glances to Wyatt Sterling and others.

Mrs. Kane sat there, smiling silently as someone stood up, declaring that Mrs. Kane was the largest shareholder in Kane Group, thus the real controller of the company.

"If no one has any objections, it’s decided then."

As per usual practice, the one with the most shares controls the company.

Simon Sterling can’t compete with what Mrs. Kane holds, even if he gathers Mr. Kane’s and other minor shareholders’ shares.

Mrs. Kane was even happier, thinking Simon as a shareholder wouldn’t let Kane Group collapse and might support it in the future.

Once the result was announced, seeing Wyatt’s expressionless face, feeling victorious, she stood up to leave the conference room.

The grudge she had held against Simon and Serena over the past few days felt relieved.

But just as the frustration hadn’t completely dissipated, the conference room doors were pushed open, and police officers abruptly entered.

They went straight up to Mrs. Kane and said in a cold voice, "Mrs. Kane, you are involved in elder abuse and coercion, among other illegal activities. Please come with us."

Before Mrs. Kane could respond, cold handcuffs clamped onto her, taking her away in front of Kane Group’s employees.

For years in the Kane Family, even though she was suppressed by the Dowager and June, Mrs. Kane was still considered someone significant to outsiders.

Mrs. Kane was stunned suddenly as she felt the handcuffs on her wrists and glanced at Wyatt’s mocking face at the conference table, suddenly coming to realize what had happened.
