"What was that sound?" Boss asked as he raised his eyebrow in alarm and turned his head to the back, unable to see anything due to the heap of broken machines and rundown cars filling the area.

"Let me check," said the guy sitting on the bonnet.

The other three also turned their head toward the sound.

He jumped from the bonnet and walked further inside to check what had caused the noise. A pistol in his hand.

Klaus stood with his back against a machine as he listened to their voices and remarked inwardly, ’Should I take this one down first?’

He lowered his gaze to his fist.

’I have to make sure not to make any sound.’

Which would be difficult. Even a restrained punch could crack the air loudly enough to alert everyone.

The gang member vigilantly walked deeper into the heap while holding the pistol near to his chest, his eyes sharp.

Klaus stepped away from his vision and waited with bated breath.

A few moments later, the gang member noticed the wide square hole in the shutter door, and his eyes widened in warning, but before he could notify others, a hand clamped his mouth from behind, and another one snatched the pistol from him.

’W-What the fuck?!’ He trashed and drove his elbow into the person holding onto him, his breathing slowly getting heavy.

The gang member’s elbow slammed into Klaus’s ribs, but he barely felt anything from it. The impact was no different than having his body massaged at some parlour.

He shoved the gun into his pocket and wrapped his arm around the gang member’s neck.

As his arm crept onto his body like a snake, the gang member noticed that he was too calm, and after so many elbow strikes, he hadn’t even groaned once.

’What kind of monster...?’ Fear began to wrap around his body, his heart beating loudly against his chest.

His eyes turned teary and bloodshot, his movements more erratic, but to Klaus, he was no different than a newborn.

’Don’t worry, I am trying my best not to kill you.’

Klaus gently tightened his arm against the gang member’s neck.

"Go to sleep," he whispered into his ear.

The gang member froze, and as Klaus’s arm constricted around his neck, he slowly felt his body go weak.

Breathing became harder until his eyes finally rolled down and he fell unconscious.

Klaus softly placed his limp body onto the ground and made him face toward the warehouse’s rear so that if others checked on him, the first thing they would see would be his back.

"What’s taking that brat so long?" Boss muttered in a voice heavy with irritation and turned his head to two gang members on the left chatting with one another.

"Oye, you two. Go check on Ben," he spat the orders, leaned back on his chair, and pulled out a wad of notes from a nearby black bag with a smile on his face.

"I couldn’t even count all of this money because of that call earlier," he grumbled and began counting the money with a greedy glint in his eyes.

The two gang members immediately walked toward the back of the warehouse to check on Ben.

’I cannot deal with two without making any noise,’ Klaus remarked in his head, a dark expression on his face.

He silently shifted to the right and checked on the fourth gang member leaning against the wall with a pistol resting in his pocket.

He wasn’t entirely sure if that person was actually sleeping or just acting, but targeting him seemed the best possible option.

Boss was busy counting the money, so he could use the chance to knock out the fourth gang member and then take Boss hostage to stop the two.

With a clear plan in his mind, he moved toward the fourth gang member with steps so quick that it looked as though he was sprinting, yet no sound was made.

’If I weren’t good at stealth, I would have been unable to run away from my parents’ house.’

Within a few moments, he neared the fourth gang member while expertly hiding from the remaining two gang members and Boss.

However, the moment he stopped before the fourth gang member, his eyes shot open, and he smirked.

’He was acting!’

Klaus’s eyes widened slightly.

The gang member’s lips parted, but before he could even make a single noise, Klaus lightly slapped him.

The gang member’s head twisted to the right like a bottle’s cap, and his body fell to the ground like a puppet cut from its strings.

Unfortunately, as he fell, his gun landed on the ground with a sharp thud enough for Boss to notice.

’Shit!’ Klaus cursed and turned around, right in time to meet Boss’s dumbfounded and furious gaze.

Boss threw the wad of notes on the bag and shot to his feet with a shout, "Who the fuck are you?! How dare you attack my boys?!"

Klaus glanced to the left to check on the other two gang members.

’They must have heard him.’

This had become much more complicated than he had expected, but it wasn’t something he couldn’t handle.

Boss picked up the assault rifle placed beside his chair and pointed its nozzle at Klaus.

"Open your damn mouth, motherfucker!"

Klaus looked at him, his thoughts utterly calm and devoid of any fear; then he pulled out the gun he had taken from Ben and pointed it at the head of the gang member lying on the ground in a moment.

Stunned by the speed of his hand, Boss blinked in surprise and mumbled under his breath, "What the fuck...?"

"Lower your gun, or I’ll shoot his brains out," Klaus threatened.

Right at that moment, the remaining two gang members walked in while holding onto Ben.

Seeing Klaus, their eyes turned sharp, and one of them barked, "That bastard must be the one who knocked out Ben."

The other one elbowed him and whispered, "Why is Boss so silent?"
