Chapter 873
Chapter 873
Anders told Anton that, based on his observations of his new wife’s children, they were surprisingly not interested in becoming either adventurers or magic casters. One of them was interested in farming the land, but more than likely, it was because the boy had seen the miraculous effects of Mana Rain on their fields.
“Maybe he isn’t interested in becoming a farmer, but rather in Mana Rain itself. If that’s the case, he would need to become a wizard to study it,” Anton told his father.
“Maybe. Still, the boy never talks to me about spells or anything related to magic. Instead, he talks about which crops suit which fields and which seasons,” Anders replied.
“The kid isn’t interested in the spell itself, but in the effects of the spell on his beloved fields,” Anna joked, but both Anders and Anton thought she might have a point.
Anders’s second stepson was more interested in earning coins. He would often join Anton and Anna’s father in his office, watching him as he handled accounting.
Anders did not want to draw any conclusions about his new wife’s children. They were still very young, and their interests could change as they grew older.
“It’s best to wait until they become adults before giving them a class from your Diablo System,” Anton’s father said.
Anna had been given a class by Anton despite being very young. However, even though it had only been a few months ago, the circumstances were different back then. Everyone had been afraid of the Undead Coalition and was desperately trying to gain more strength to avoid becoming undead food.
After their hours-long conversation inside Atma’s Tavern, Anders and Anna said goodbye to Anton, and they all exited the game Anders had created for them to meet.
Anton returned to leveling up his Assassin character. Whenever he became hungry or tired, he would simply deal with it before returning to leveling. After a few more days, he finally reached the maximum level for his Assassin character.
He immediately transferred a Hellfire Torch for the Assassin from the game into the real world. With that, he completed his collection of Hellfire Torches.
He then created his next ladder character for the season and chose the Druid. However, once the character was created, Anton immediately exited the game. He had already reached the maximum level with four characters for the current ladder season, and the season was not even halfway over.
Anton decided to take a break from focusing on leveling his Diablo II ladder characters. Instead, he decided to watch a movie. He was in the mood for something lighthearted and noticed that Toy Story 5 had recently been released.
It had been a long time since he had watched the first four Toy Story films. He decided to have a Toy Story marathon, and since he had promised his friends that he would let them watch movies with him, he decided to invite them.
The films might be confusing for them, but Anton did not mind. When it came to his own enjoyment, such as watching movies, he decided to prioritize himself. They should be grateful that he was inviting them to watch the films, considering he could simply watch them alone.

He sent a Raven carrying a letter to Paul, informing him that Anton planned to watch a movie and that everyone was invited. He instructed them to come to the Hall of Opulence in the Noble Section.
The Hall of Opulence was one of the venues on the ship that could be rented. With his status, Anton was not worried about whether he would be able to reserve the place.
He went to the hall and looked for the person managing it. As expected, he encountered no difficulties renting the venue for the day. However, he had to pay the rental fee himself because the rights to use the Hall of Opulence were managed by someone who did not want to go through the trouble of contacting Ormunda to cover Anton’s expenses.
After making the payment, the manager was helpful enough to find a large sheet of white cloth for Anton to use as a screen. Following Anton’s instructions, the cloth was hung on one side of the hall, and chairs were arranged facing it.
“Supreme Sunder, may I ask the reason for this?” the manager asked while pointing toward the cloth being prepared by the venue’s staff.
Anton was surprised by the man’s boldness. Normally, service workers would be afraid to casually speak with a Supreme Wizard like himself. However, he learned that the manager was related to some of the more powerful wizards on the ship, so the man was likely accustomed to dealing with influential figures.
“I’m planning to watch a movie marathon with my friends,” Anton simply replied.
The manager stared at him in surprise. Anton knew that everyone on the ship who considered themselves important was aware that his family owned the cinema in Ormunda.
“I know what movies are and have had the privilege of watching some of the films shown in your family’s cinema, but what exactly is a movie marathon?” the manager asked.
“It’s when movies are shown one after another. The movies in a marathon are usually related to each other.”
“Oh. Like all of the Lord of the Rings films?”
“You’ve seen those?”
“Yes. They are the best things I’ve ever seen in my life.”
The manager praised The Lord of the Rings enthusiastically, and since Anton agreed with him, he could only smile.
After the Hall of Opulence was transformed into a makeshift cinema, Anton waited for his friends to arrive. While waiting, he looked around the hall and had to admit that it truly deserved its name.
The entire hall was covered in an extremely luxurious and thick red carpet. Several chandeliers hung from the ceiling, each one resembling glittering and expensive jewels floating in the air.
His only complaint was that the temperature was slightly too warm. When Anton asked the manager about it, the man explained that, for an additional fee, they could request the services of a wizard to lower the temperature inside the hall.
Anton simply shook his head, retrieved three Frozen Orb air conditioners from his inventory, and asked the manager to place them in different corners of the hall and activate them using the switches. He explained that the magic items would lower the temperature.
The manager of the Hall of Opulence was greatly surprised by how beautiful the Frozen Orb air conditioners were when activated. Their effects were also immediate. After only a few minutes, the temperature inside the hall dropped so much that the man began shivering.
Anton liked the atmosphere of the hall after it had been converted into a cinema. The only things missing were popcorn and soda.
Soon, Paul, Eric, and all of Anton’s friends from the Bottom Section arrived. Anton appreciated that they had done their best to look presentable. Paul and Eric were wearing the suits they had purchased from the Noble Section, while the others were also likely wearing their best clothes.
“Go ahead and take your seats. We’ll start the movie in a few minutes. You can choose any seat you want,” Anton told everyone.
All of his friends quickly moved to choose their preferred seats. Paul and Eric claimed the center seats in the front row and saved a place for Anton.
Meanwhile, Anton asked the manager if he could help arrange food for everyone to be delivered after a couple of hours. He planned to have lunch with his friends in the hall after watching the first film. He provided the manager with funds for the order.
“In return for your help, you can watch the movies with us,” Anton told the manager.
“Can I bring my family with me? It’s only my wife and my two children,” the manager asked.
Anton simply nodded.
The manager hurried out of the hall to arrange the food order and, most likely, gather his family so they could watch the films with Anton and his friends.
