Chapter 874

Anton went and sat beside Paul and Eric at the front of the hall, which had been temporarily converted into a cinema after the manager assured him that the food would be brought in after the first movie ended.

When the manager arrived to inform him of this, his wife and two young children were with him.

Anton almost laughed when he saw that the manager’s wife and children looked a little haggard. It was obvious that they had rushed over from somewhere to get to the hall as quickly as possible. He didn’t know how the manager had managed to send news to his wife about the movie marathon.

“It’s so cold and comfortable!” Eric commented.

“Do you see those magic items in the corner?” Anton asked.

“Those beautiful, magical globe sculptures?” Paul asked.

“Yes. They produce the cold air that lowers the temperature in here. They’re my magic items,” Anton explained.

Paul and Eric stood up and approached the Frozen Orb Air Conditioners, with Anton following behind them. He explained how the items worked, how to turn them on and off, how to recharge their mana batteries, and how long their lifespan was.

Eric asked how much the items usually cost. When Anton told them the average price of the air conditioners, the two gasped.

Anton simply rolled his eyes at what he considered to be their overreaction. He looked around the makeshift theater and saw that everyone had already settled down.

Anton told Paul and Eric that it was time for the movie to begin. Once the three of them sat at the front, Anton cast his Globe of Browser Sharing spell, which had been given to him by his Diablo System. He spent a few minutes calibrating the video and audio, and once everything was perfect, he signaled the manager that it was time to begin.

The lights in the hall were turned off until the only sources of light were the three Frozen Orb Air Conditioners placed at the back and the glow from the massive screen.

Silence filled the hall once the first movie in the Toy Story franchise began.

Since it had been a long time since Anton had watched the Toy Story films, he enjoyed experiencing them again. His anticipation for the fifth installment grew because of the combination of his nostalgia for the films he had watched as a child, the memories of being happy with his family back on Earth, and the glowing reviews from those who had already seen Toy Story 5.

Anton noticed his friends crying during some scenes, which he expected since Toy Story 1 was quite an emotional movie.

Once the film ended, everyone clapped, and Anton joined in their enthusiasm. Afterward, he announced that it was time for lunch.

The manager turned on the lights in the hall and called several servants to bring in the tables and the food that had already been prepared outside.

Soon, a feast was laid out, and everyone happily enjoyed their lunch while discussing the film they had just watched.

After lunch, Anton didn’t delay and continued showing the rest of the films in the franchise. At around seven in the evening, he asked the hall manager to provide food for everyone again. After dinner, they proceeded to the final movie in the franchise—the only one Anton had not seen before.

Once the movie ended, Anton admitted that even though he had doubted Pixar a little, they were still capable of creating movie magic.

The movie marathon was a success, and everyone was extremely happy to have been invited. The manager and his family were especially grateful to be part of the event.

In truth, everyone felt excited at the thought that they were the only ones invited to such an exclusive gathering. There were no ship officers, nobles, or wizards. It was just them.

His friends asked when the next movie marathon would be.

Anton simply told them that he hadn’t planned one yet and would inform Paul and Eric when he decided.

Back in his room, Anton was glad that he had decided to hold a movie marathon with his friends because he felt refreshed. He wasn’t tired yet, so he entered his Diablo System to continue leveling up his ladder Druid.

He noticed that a game had been created by either his father or his sister. He successfully entered the game, which meant that Anders or Anna had not set a password.

He saw that Anna was currently leveling up her ladder Sorceress character. Anton only managed to enter because one of the players had left.

“Anton! You’re here. Guys, this is Anton, a friend of mine,” Anna cheerfully introduced him to the other players.

Anton smiled when Anna introduced him as her friend instead of her brother. He noticed that four of the six players were women. Anna seemed close with them, and he understood that the two men were the boyfriends of two of the girls in the group.

He also realized that Anna was pretending to be an eighteen-year-old girl, but Anton decided to let her continue. He would tell Anders about it so their father could talk to Anna about growing up.

After around three hours, Anton began feeling tired, so he said goodbye to everyone and left.

During the next few days, Anton mostly stayed inside his rooms, leveling up his Diablo II ladder character, watching anime, or reading web novels. He only left occasionally to eat and to show himself to the crew so they wouldn’t think something had happened to him.

What Anton didn’t know was that it was normal for wizards to remain inside their rooms for weeks at a time. He could have done the same, and the ship’s crew wouldn’t have bothered him since everyone knew he was a Supreme Rank wizard.

Anton also didn’t know that the news about the movie marathon had already spread.

Many people who considered themselves important began complaining to the captain about why they hadn’t been invited to such an important event.

Apparently, some nobles had even pressured their relatives who were powerful wizards regarding the matter.

Anton was surprised when he heard a knock on his door. When he opened it, he found the captain and his companions waiting outside.

The captain informed him that many important people were becoming a nuisance because they wanted the opportunity to watch the movies.

Anton didn’t want to deal with the issue, so he decided to hand three Mini Globes of Browser Sharing to the captain. They contained The Lord of the Rings films, and Anton taught him how to use them.

He told the captain to use the movies to satisfy the nobles. He suggested that the tickets should be expensive enough to make it clear that Anton was displeased with their behavior.

Anton also told the captain that he would take none of the earnings as long as the ship continued covering his expenses.

He requested that free tickets be provided to his friends. He informed the captain that some members of the crew would know who his friends were, so he only needed to ask them.

Anton saw that the captain looked relieved. It seemed that he was happy with how easily he had acquired movies from Anton and that Anton’s requests were reasonable.

After the captain left, Anton sent a Raven summon to Paul with a letter explaining that he still planned to remain inside his rooms for the time being. However, he informed him that the ship would be hosting a movie event and that all of their friends would receive free tickets.

After sending the letter, Anton returned to leveling up his Diablo II ladder Druid.

When he went outside to eat lunch the next day, the waiter informed him that a movie event would happen in a few days and that everyone important would be invited as long as they purchased tickets. It was essentially an advertisement for the event.

Anton didn’t tell the waiter that the movies came from him.

He simply ate his lunch and returned to his rooms.
