Chapter 879
Chapter 879
Anton could see that both his father and his sister were still filled with doubt regarding his decision to go to Izmorta and join one of the magical organizations there, despite learning about a process called rebirth that would strip a mage of their knowledge and power.
He knew that Anders and Anna were worried because, in their minds, Anton had already experienced something similar when he first arrived in this world. Back then, he had told his father and sister that all of his memories had disappeared. However, the truth was that he had been someone from another world named Anthony Saunders.
Anton guessed that his father and sister did not want something like that to happen to him again, especially since they would not be by his side if something significant happened, such as him losing his memories once more.
He continued reassuring Anders and Anna that everything would be fine. He was confident in the power of his Diablo System.
After that worrying conversation—for his father and sister, at least—Anton told them about providing movies to the ship. Anna immediately glared at him when she learned that all the proceeds from the ship’s cinema would not go to him but instead to the ship.
“The captain did promise me that the ship would cover all my expenses,” Anton said, which only caused Anna to sigh.
Anton was somewhat relieved that their father did not seem too concerned. It meant that Anders was allowing Anton to make his own decisions while he was on the ship. He knew Anna was only worried that the ship was taking advantage of him, and she was not wrong. However, Anton truly did not care.
He knew that his careless attitude toward certain matters would likely cause him problems in the future, but for now, his goal was to enjoy his voyage to Izmorta. The only way he could do that was by maintaining a good relationship with the ship.
When it was Anders’s turn to talk, he told them that Oakswood was beginning to resemble a prosperous town. According to Anders’s advisors, it would not take long before the town developed into a city. It would probably take less than five years.
“That long?” Anton exclaimed.
Anders smiled wryly at his son.
His father then explained that the progress was already extremely fast. Anton understood that Anders’s ambition of becoming a king would likely take decades to achieve.
Anton mentally shrugged and simply hoped that his father would accomplish his dreams. He knew the main reason Anders’s ambition had grown was because of the power he had gained through Anton’s Diablo System.
He wished the best for his father and sister, hoping that they would achieve whatever ambitions they had.
He also knew that, sooner or later, he would be separated from them because his goal was to travel throughout the multiverse. At the very least, when that time came, he hoped Anders and Anna would become powerful enough in their own right to live their lives however they wanted.
For now, Anna, being young, was still taking advantage of her age to enjoy life, and Anton was glad that she was able to do so. He also knew that while Anders worked toward his ambition, he was enjoying himself as well.

After their conversation, Anton returned to what he had been doing before: leveling up his ladder characters.
Two months later, the current Diablo II ladder season ended. He successfully reached the maximum level with eight characters and even tested the loophole Anna had discovered, allowing him to level up two additional characters after completing the original eight Diablo II characters.
This allowed him to gain a massive amount of stats, causing his power to increase dramatically. He also completed Tal Rasha’s Wrapping Unique Set and began working on completing the Barbarian Unique Set and the Immortal King set.
After reaching the maximum level with two more ladder Sorceress characters by deleting previously completed ones, Anton transferred the Immortal King’s Stone Crusher ogre maul and the Immortal King’s Soul Cage sacred armor from the game into the real world.
Anton could feel the immense power and the massive increase in stats that the ten characters had provided him, especially the Energy stat, which enhanced his mana and magic damage. Because of this, he felt that he was approaching the threshold of reaching the Invincible Rank of wizardry.
Previously, he had believed that he would never surpass the Supreme Rank using only his Diablo System. Now, he realized that he should never have doubted it. The power the system granted him was truly incredible, and he believed that after a few more ladder seasons, he would be able to enter the ranks of the Invincibles.
During those two months, Anna had also reached the maximum level with her newly created ladder character. She informed Anders that it allowed her to transfer twenty percent of the character’s main stats and that she had also successfully transferred another item from the game into the real world.
Because of this, Anders became motivated to level up his own newly created ladder character.
By the end of the ladder season, both Anders and Anna had been motivated enough to successfully create and max out three characters. This allowed them to gain a large amount of stats that increased their strength, while also giving them the ability to transfer three items from the game into the real world.
Anton spoke with his father and sister once every month, which was why he knew about their progress in both the game and their lives in the real world.
By that time, Anton had already spent four months in the middle of the ocean. In a few days, the Melinda would reach its next resupply destination: a group of islands called the Islands of Meronoma. The ship would remain there for three days.
During those two months, the ship encountered several storms, but they did not affect it too much. Unfortunately, although the ship was attacked several times by sea creatures, none of them were giant Krakens.
One of the attacks involved a large number of Sahuagin, but they were easily repelled by the ship’s wizards. Another attack was caused by mutated killer whales, and through that battle, Anton confirmed that the ship’s wizards were truly powerful.
He continued providing movies to the ship, but he specifically chose films that had already been shown in the cinema in Ormunda. At first, Anton thought that the wealthy passengers would complain to the captain, but they were bored out of their minds and welcomed the movies regardless. Even though many nobles and wizards had already watched some of them in Ormunda, they were still happy to see them again.
The captain did speak with Anton about the movies, so Anton promised that after their stop at the Islands of Meronoma, he would provide films that the passengers had never seen before.
Whenever Anton thought about the island’s name, he could not help but laugh internally. To him, it sounded like the name of some kind of disease.
Anton still met with his friends occasionally, but he had stopped paying for everything all the time. He only treated them when he organized movie-watching events.
During those two months, he watched Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story. He chose those movies because he had never seen them before, and he did not care how his friends would react to science fiction and futuristic concepts. He knew they would eventually adapt.
Because of those two films, Anton decided to provide the captain with the Star Wars movies. He planned to let them watch the films in release order.
After they left the Islands of Meronoma, he would first give them copies of Star Wars Episode 4, 5, and 6.
