Chapter 865
Chapter 865
Anton had been made aware of the complaints submitted by some of the nobles by one of the ship’s officers. However, he did nothing about them and treated them as nothing more than the mindless mutterings of inconsequential people. He did not want to waste his time dealing with such petty matters.
Of course, if anyone dared to confront him directly, then Anton would deal with it. He had earned his power through months of battles against the Undead Coalition and deserved the respect he was owed from the Ormundans.
Finally, one of the ship’s crew members informed Anton that they would be reaching the Islands of Rokutua in a few hours. Excited, Anton immediately left his room and called Paul and Eric using one of his raven summons so that he could have his friends with him while they watched the ship approach the islands.
Soon, Paul and Eric arrived at the café where Anton was waiting, accompanied by a few of their friends. The group excitedly headed to the deck, where they would be able to see the Island of Rokutua once it was close enough to be visible with the naked eye.
Not long after, someone shouted that they could see the island. Anton looked in the direction where one of his friends was pointing and saw a small, dark shape in the distance. He assumed it was the Island of Rokutua.
Anton stopped a passing crew member and asked if the dark shape in the distance was the island. The man confirmed that it was and added that the ship would arrive there in four hours.
This surprised Anton. He thought that since they could already see the island, it would not take long for them to reach it.
After a few minutes, Anton grew impatient and decided to fly toward the island himself. He also chose not to inform anyone because he believed it would be easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
“Guys, I want to fly toward the island. Do you want to join me?” Anton whispered to Paul and Eric.
“You can bring us with you? We’ll get into trouble!” Paul whispered back.
“I don’t think it’s going to cause that much trouble,” Anton reasoned.
“It won’t be a big problem for you since you’re basically some kind of big shot, but we’ll probably get punished by our fathers,” Paul replied quietly. He did not want anyone else to overhear their conversation.
“Fine. I’ll just go by myself then.”
Anton was about to fly away when Eric suddenly said that he wanted to come with him. Seeing Eric’s decision seemed to encourage Paul, who also decided to join them. Once both of them confirmed they wanted to come, Anton lifted the three of them using his Telekinesis spell.
Before leaving the deck, Anton shouted to some of their friends that they were going to the island first and asked them to inform one of the ship’s officers about his decision.
The other young men and women on the deck became flabbergasted by what Anton had shouted. Without waiting any longer, Anton flew toward the Island of Rokutua with Paul and Eric.
As they flew, Anton wondered how much trouble they would be in once the ship eventually reached the island.
Paul and Eric continued shouting throughout the flight. Their journey was incredibly fast because Anton also cast spells behind them to increase their speed. He used his Telekinesis to create a shield in front of them, blocking the wind and anything else that might strike them while they traveled at such high speed.
The two continued shouting as if they were riding one of the fastest attractions in an amusement park. Anton kept their flight steady, so he could not understand why the two young men were so excited and agitated.
They reached the port in twenty minutes. Many people stared at the three of them in surprise, and a couple of wizards immediately prepared spells, ready to respond if necessary.
“I’m sorry. We couldn’t wait for the ship to arrive, so we decided to fly here first,” Anton shouted toward the two wizards who looked ready to cast spells.
The older wizard snorted, while the younger one glared at them. The two then approached Anton.
Anton immediately introduced himself.
“Good morning, sir wizards. I’m Supreme Anton Sunder, a passenger aboard the ship Melinda. The ship will arrive in four hours, but I couldn’t wait to set foot on land, so I decided to fly ahead,” Anton said with an apologetic expression.
He hoped that his polite apology, combined with his wizardry rank, would be enough to offset the aggressive reaction of the two local wizards.
“My name is Archmage Ronaldo, and this is Supreme Archibald. We know the Melinda will be arriving soon, and we are here to welcome her. We did not expect someone to fly ahead of the ship. Does the captain know about your decision?” the wizard named Ronaldo asked.
Ronaldo’s tone became more respectful after learning Anton’s identity. He knew that the only reason he could speak so confidently was that his companion held the same wizardry rank as Anton.
Paul and Eric watched Anton’s interaction with the local wizards with wide eyes, as if they were watching an entertaining performance.
“No one on the ship knows. My decision to fly ahead was an impulse that came to me while we were watching the ship approach the island,” Anton replied.
Suddenly, the older wizard, whom Archmage Ronaldo had identified as Archibald, called out to him and pointed toward the ocean.
Everyone looked in the direction Archibald indicated and saw around six wizards flying toward them. Anton immediately realized he was in trouble.
He recognized the wizards. They were some of the wizards guarding the ship, and the one leading them was Olemena. Olemena was an Invincible Rank wizard, and according to some rumors, she had quite the temper.
Anton had never interacted with the ship’s wizards because, honestly, he saw no reason to build a relationship with them.
For a moment, Anton considered escaping, but he only sighed and waited with the others. The moment the six wizards arrived, Invincible Olemena headed straight toward him, while the five wizards accompanying her gathered Archibald and Ronaldo so they could discuss official ship matters.
“Supreme Sunder, what gave you the idea that you could simply fly ahead?!” the Invincible Rank wizard shouted.
“I’m sorry, ma’am. I was bored and couldn’t wait the four hours it would take for the ship to reach the island,” Anton apologized.
The female Invincible Rank wizard sighed.
“You’re still young, so some of your actions, like this one, can be excused. I’m just amazed that you reached your level of power at such a young age. I’m not sure you are mature enough to wield such strength, but there is nothing we can do about that. We are just glad that you have not caused any trouble for the ship, so we will forgive this thoughtless action,” the female wizard said.
Anton smiled and asked if he could begin exploring the island. The female wizard sighed again before nodding.
“Oh, before you go, could you give me one of those tablets you created? I want to study them,” Invincible Olemena requested.
Anton immediately retrieved one of the few remaining Mithril Tablets of Defensive Spells from his inventory and handed it to her.
Then, without wasting any time, he ran toward the city with Paul and Eric following behind him.
Anton heard the female wizard sighing behind him, but since he had already received forgiveness and given her an expensive tablet, he thought it was fine for him to begin exploring the Island of Rokutua.
