Chapter 109: Standing Alone
High above the battlefield stood ten figures whose mere presence made the air feel unbearably heavy. The overwhelming pressure they released was like countless mountains pressing down upon the world.
At the forefront of the demonic army stood two tall, mascular, imposing figures. Unlike the lower-ranking demons, their horns were relatively small, while their faces and physiques were almost indistinguishable from those of humans with tan skin , Only their crimson eyes and razor-sharp fangs revealed their true identities.
They were Demon General Azren and Demon General Voren—both Emperor Realm powerhouses.
Voren held a strange sealed container firmly in his hands. He had not placed it inside his storage ring because its contents had to remain alive. With enough life force had been gathered now, it would be fused with their lord’s body.
Over the centuries, the two Demon Generals, together with the Blood Moon Cult and their demonic armies, had painstakingly collected the required life force for that very purpose.
Behind them stood three peak King Realm experts of the Blood Moon Cult, known only by their numbers—
110...120... and 121.
Facing them were humanity’s strongest defenders.
Leading the human forces were two Emperor Realm powerhouses from the Twilight Order—Ron and Albert.
Standing behind them were three peak King Realm experts: Leon, the head of the Twilight Order’s Vaunis Branch; Ivor, an elite member of the Light Temple Order; and Ethan, the commander of the Royal Guards.
Behind the leaders of both sides hovered thousands of King Realm warriors, their cultivation ranging from the lower stages to the middle stages of the King Realm.
It was no longer a battle between ordinary armies. It was a war between the greatest powers of two worlds.
Albert stepped forward, his eyes blazing with fury.
"You bastard, Azren!" he roared. "First, you activate your domain... and now you’re dragging innocent civilians into it. Do you really think you can do whatever you want?!"
His voice exploded like a thunderbolt, echoing throughout the entire domain. The next moment, Ivor unleashed his own domain.
A powerful wave spread across the battlefield, colliding with Azren’s domain and gradually beginning to cancel its influence.
Domains were unique abilities whose powers depended on their creator’s affinity.
Although extremely rare, some individuals possessed two or more affinities. However, when awakening a domain for the first time, they had to choose a single affinity to become the domain’s foundation.
The domain would then inherit the abilities of that chosen affinity—the one in which they had attained the greatest mastery and even.
Even individuals with the same affinity will never possess identical Domains. A Domain’s abilities are determined by the user’s Innate Skill, making each Domain unique despite sharing the same elemental affinity.
When two domains of equal strength collided, they would begin suppressing and canceling each other out.
As for why the other two Emperor Realm experts hadn’t activated their domains...
The answer was simple.
A single Emperor’s domain was already enough to force everyone on the battlefield to their limits. Even King Realm experts were drenched in cold sweat as they struggled to withstand the overwhelming pressure.
If two more Emperor Domains were unleashed at the same time...
Both armies would be annihilated before they even had the chance to continue fighting.
Nova never imagined fate would hand him this one-in-a-million opportunity.he silently thanked Albert.
With Azren’s domain being suppressed, his desperate gamble finally had a chance of succeeding.
He signaled Bai Chen.
Feeling the crushing pressure ease slightly as the two domains canceled each other out, Bai Chen took a deep breath and prepared to act.
But before he could—A terrifying force descended once again. This time, it was directed solely at them.
"Don’t even think about running, ants!" Azren’s cold voice echoed across the battlefield. "You have a few answers to give me first."
He had sensed another spatial fluctuation. Nova gritted his teeth. If he was already struggling this much, he couldn’t even imagine what his wives were enduring.
He glanced at Bai Chen. Blood was flowing from Bai Chen’s eyes, nose, and mouth, yet he remained standing through sheer willpower.
Nova clenched his fists. He wasn’t finished yet. Whether it worked or not, he had no choice but to try. It was their only chance.
With a wave of his hand, Nova summoned the Guardian’s Wall, placing it in front of the carriage to block the Emperor’s pressure. Cracks immediately began spreading across its surface, but it bought them a few precious moments.
The next instant, he activated Void Veil. To Azren—and to every Emperor and King Realm expert present—
Nova...and other three individual they are detecting...
Their mana signatures vanished completely, as though they had never existed. Even Albert, Ron, the Emperor Realm powerhouse and other king Realm experts widened their eyes in disbelief.
How could something disappear from the senses of even Emperors?
Liya’s voice rang out urgently.
{This is your only chance! But you’ll have to make a sacrifice. The moment you dismiss Void Veil—or when Guardian’s Wall finally shatters—Azren will use his Space Authority to block the teleportation.}
Nova didn’t hesitate.
"BAI CHEN!!"
Bai Chen understood instantly. Without a moment’s hesitation, he crushed the Spatial Teleportation Crystal.
Before Rieka and Asia could even realize what Nova had done, the carriage disappeared from the battlefield without leaving behind the slightest trace.
At that exact moment—
Crack!
Guardian’s Wall shattered into countless fragments. Everything had happened within only a few seconds.
To everyone watching, the carriage, Bai Chen, Rieka, and Asia had seemingly vanished into thin air.
Azren frowned. His senses couldn’t locate them. Even his spatial blockade had failed. But the overwhelming pressure he had focused on their location never ceased.
Nova had deliberately endured it all alone, creating the brief opening Bai Chen needed to teleport the others to the Captial, where the leader of the Frosthall Hunters Guild could protect them.
"You dare!!"
Then...Azren poured even more of his power into the area. The last remnants of Void Veil collapsed. Nova’s figure was revealed once more.
Unable to withstand the Emperor’s overwhelming might any longer, he was violently slammed into the ground although Arzen didn’t want to kill him yet so he kept his pressure so he wouldn’t die.
"Cough!"
A mouthful of blood burst from his lips as the earth beneath him cracked apart.
Void Veil had one major weakness.
That was precisely why it was only an A-Rank skill.
Although it could perfectly conceal mana and presence, it could be countered by anyone who possessed space-related abilities. Against such opponents, its effectiveness was greatly reduced.
Earlier, while they were flown in air, Nova had secretly used a technique he had spent three years trying to master—Mind Talk.
Through it, he directly transmitted his entire plan into Bai Chen’s mind. Bai Chen never replied, but Nova didn’t need an answer.
He knew Bai Chen well enough by now to understand that he would never willingly abandon him.
Which was exactly why Nova had never given him the chance to refuse. Bai Chen was his only hope.
He knew the capital better than anyone present, and more importantly, the Frosthall Hunters Guild was under the protection of Asia’s father.
As long as Bai Chen reached the capital with Rieka and Asia...They would be safe.
For that to happen...he had to stay behind.
And Nova had made an opening for Bai chen to use the Spatial teleportation crystal and it worked fortunately.
Ding!

Liya didn’t say a single word. She knew exactly what Nova had done because it was simply who he was. No matter how hopeless the situation became, he would never abandon his wives and save only himself.
Watching everything unfold from the System Space, silent tears welled up in her eyes. She had always known Nova was kind, but seeing him willingly choose to stay behind and face certain death just so the people he loved could live still shook her heart.
Meanwhile, Nova wore a faint smile on his face. There wasn’t a shred of fear, despair, or regret in his eyes. Instead, there was only relief. His gamble had succeeded, and Rieka, Asia, and
Bai Chen had escaped safely.
That alone was enough for him. Slowly, he raised his head and looked toward the countless experts hovering high above the battlefield.
