Chapter 82: When Two Yandere Collides

The air grew heavy. Two forces stood across from each other, their auras clashing like opposing storms.

Seraphina stood tall, her golden hair wild and untamed, cascading down her back like liquid fire. Her golden eyes burned with fury and possessiveness, glowing with an intensity that could melt stone. Flames flickered around her, dancing along her skin and clothes, licking at the air like hungry serpents. Her presence was overwhelming, suffocating, like standing before a sun that had descended to earth.

Across from her, Lilith was the opposite. Small and petite, like a child frozen in time, she looked fragile and innocent. But those who saw her knew better. Her silver-white hair cascaded down her back, flowing like moonlight, shimmering faintly as if alive. Her crimson eyes gleamed with an ancient, otherworldly light, holding centuries of blood and madness. She wore a black and crimson dress, frilled and Victorian, with a high collar and intricate lace. Her smile was soft, sweet, and utterly terrifying.

Both figures moved in an instant.

At Seraphina’s sides, numerous small golden circular runes blazed with fire, appearing in the air around her. Her body gave off an aura as if she herself had become a spear, sharp, piercing, and unstoppable. She was the burning spear.

From the center of the golden runes, spears formed from golden flames materialized, hovering in the air. Each one hummed with deadly heat, ready to strike.

Lilith’s smile didn’t waver. Shadows coiled around her small form, dark and thick like living things. Her crimson eyes gleamed with amusement. The ground beneath her feet darkened, as if the light itself was being swallowed.

She raised her small hand. Dark circular runes appeared around her, spinning slowly, each one pulsing with shadow and crimson light. The air around them grew cold, heavy, suffocating.

From the center of the dark runes, blades of condensed shadow and blood formed. They were jagged, cruel, and sharp, each one humming with ancient hunger. They hovered in the air, pointing directly at Seraphina.

"Still as dramatic as ever, sister," Lilith said softly.

Seraphina’s flames flared higher. "You have no idea how dramatic I can be."

The golden spears shot forward. The shadow blades met them mid-air.

Fire and darkness collided in an explosion of light and shadow, shaking the ground beneath them.

The shockwave rippled outward, tearing through the forest like an invisible hand. For nearly a mile in every direction, trees were uprooted, their trunks splintering into fragments. Rocks shattered into dust. The ground split open, deep fissures carving through the earth like wounds. The air itself seemed to scream as the two forces clashed.

The golden spears pierced through the shadow blades, but not without resistance. Each collision sent bursts of flame and shadow spiraling into the sky, painting the air in streaks of gold and crimson. The heat from Seraphina’s flames scorched the earth within a hundred-meter radius, leaving blackened, cracked ground in its wake. The shadow blades that missed their mark carved deep trenches into the soil, dark energy eating away at the ground like acid.

A massive crater formed where the attacks met, stretching fifty meters wide and twenty meters deep. Its edges glowed with residual fire and shadow. The surrounding forest for nearly half a mile was either incinerated or withered into gray husks. The sky above them darkened for miles, clouds swirling violently as if the world itself was reacting to their power.

Sylas and the examiners who watched this and saw the destruction they caused immediately shook. Their faces paled. They had never seen such power from two individuals, especially not in an assessment meant for young participants.

"Immediately, eject the participants out of this Desolate Land now!" Sylas ordered, his voice sharp and urgent.

The examiners moved instantly. Their hands flew over the runes, activating the emergency evacuation formation. They had to get everyone out. If these two continued fighting, there would be nothing left of the assessment grounds or anyone in it.

Across the desolate land, participants who were busy surviving and looking for cultivation resources suddenly saw the sky change. The bright sun was overshadowed by darkness and flame, intertwining like two colossal beasts fighting for dominance. They were confused, their eyes fixed on the distant horizon where the clash was happening.

They could feel the aura of destruction, the raw power that threatened to consume everything. It was suffocating. Terrifying.

Then suddenly, their figures began to glow. One by one, they disappeared from the space, teleported out of the desolate land.

Even Ryker, who was watching the battle from a safe distance, felt his body glow. He was pulled away just as a shockwave of fire and shadow rushed toward where he had been standing.

He disappeared, his last image burned into his mind: Lucien, still on his knees, caught between two forces of nature, unable to escape.

The desolate land grew quiet. Only the three of them remained, Seraphina, Lilith, and Lucien. Even the examiners had escaped when they saw their words didn’t get through to the two Yanderes.

The air crackled with tension. The battle was far from over.

After a while, Lucien pulled himself together. The traumatic memories had shaken him, but he forced them down. If one looked around him, even though he was within the range of destruction, a meter around him remained completely untouched. The fire and shadow seemed to avoid him, as if the very elements refused to harm him.

This was one of the reasons why Sylas didn’t eject him. And also, he was hoping that since Lucien was the cause of this, maybe he could find a solution and calm these raging bombs.

Lucien’s mind raced. Two obsessive wives. Two forces of nature. Both of them wanted him. Both of them were ready to tear each other apart.

What was he supposed to do?

"System," he called out, his voice desperate. "What’s the way to calm them down?"

Ding!

[It’s up to Host to calm your wives as their husband. The system isn’t their husband.]

The harsh rebuttal of the system resounded in Lucien’s mind, making his expression ugly. Such betrayal at the last moment.

Lucien stared at the empty air where the notification had appeared. His jaw tightened. His fists clenched.

Was this what he wanted to do?

Meanwhile, as Lucien was lost in thought, the battle was still ongoing.

Seeing that their probing attack had caused no damage to the target, they decided to take things to the next level.

They both stretched their right hands to the side.

Seraphina’s hand closed around empty air. Golden flames erupted from her palm, swirling and condensing into a solid form. The heat was immense, warping the air around her. From the flames, a spear emerged, its shaft was pure gold, etched with ancient runes that pulsed with fire. Its blade was brilliant white, burning so bright it hurt to look at. The spear radiated an aura of absolute destruction.

Lilith’s hand closed around shadow and blood. Darkness coiled around her small fingers, thick and alive. Crimson light bled through the shadows. From the darkness, a scythe emerged, its handle was blackened bone, carved with runes that seemed to writhe and shift. Its blade was crimson crystal, pulsing with a faint, rhythmic glow like a heartbeat. The scythe radiated an aura of ancient hunger.

The moment both weapons appeared, the world around them changed.
