The examiners watched as the progress of the participants unfolded on the screens. Many had been eliminated quickly, unable to survive the brutality of the desolate world.

Seraphina’s gaze was locked on Lucien. She followed his every move, her eyes never leaving his figure. Because of her, the examiners found themselves spending most of their time checking on Lucien’s status as well.

When Ryker appeared beside him, following him like a devoted apprentice, they nodded. It seemed Lucien had a certain charisma.

Then came the encounter with the three participants who wanted to kill Ryker. They watched as Lucien stood back, observing as Ryker fought alone.

One of the examiners, a burly man with a thick beard, couldn’t hold back his frustration. "What’s wrong with him? Why is he just watching his teammate get beaten like that?"

His voice was loud, cutting through the quiet hum of the runes. Such actions felt like betrayal. Like abandonment.

Seraphina’s head turned slowly. Her eyes landed on him. Cold. Sharp. The kind of gaze that could freeze blood.

The burly man felt a chill run down his spine.

"Don’t speak ill of my darling," Seraphina said, her voice soft but laced with ice. "He has his reasons."

She didn’t raise her voice. She didn’t need to. The obsession in her tone was enough to make the examiner swallow his words.

The room fell silent. No one dared to speak.

They all focused on the screen that displayed Lucien, only to see a shocking scene. Blood tentacles, moving like serpents, devoured the blood of the three participants until they were nothing but skin and bones. The bodies crumpled to the ground, hollow and pale.

The examiners exchanged glances, except for Seraphina, who remained fixated on the screen. They wondered how strong this participant was. Who could summon such a terrifying power?

But Seraphina, watching closely, noticed Lucien’s bodily reaction. She saw his posture shift. Then she saw him look up.

Suddenly, a figure appeared on the screen, landing gracefully on the ground before Lucien.

"A vampire," Sylas muttered, recognizing the prominent features. Her silver-white hair. Her crimson eyes. Her fangs.

He glanced at Seraphina, and his breath caught.

Her face had twisted. Anger. Ferociousness. Obsession.

"That bitch..." Seraphina growled, her voice low and deadly. Her fists clenched. "... she’s going to steal my darling."

Her expression was a storm of possessiveness, jealousy, and rage. Her eyes burned with an intensity that made the room feel cold.

Silence fell over the chamber. Most of the examiners sat frozen, their mouths open in shock. This was their elder? To see her break like this, consumed by jealousy.

"What happened?" Sylas asked, his voice cautious. "You know her?"

Seraphina turned her head slowly. Her eyes locked onto him.

Sylas felt the air leave his lungs. It was as if he had fallen into a pit of darkness. Cold. Suffocating.

He swallowed hard and looked away. He didn’t ask again.

"I’m coming back."

Seraphina left these words as her figure disappeared from the space.

Sylas opened his mouth to stop her, but she was already gone. He knew where she was going. And he knew trouble was coming.

This was an assessment for the participants. And Seraphina was about to interfere.

"Alas," he sighed, his body slumping.

He had no authority to stop her. No power to hold her back. All he could do was follow.

After a moment, he turned to the other examiners. "Let’s go."

They nodded. Their figures also disappeared from the space.

They had to make sure the participants were safe. Because at this moment, they could feel a suffocating killing intent emanating from Seraphina. And that intent was aimed at someone.

---

Lucien’s hands fell to his sides. His body was broken. His spirit was empty. Tears still streaked down his face, but he didn’t bother wiping them away anymore.

"What do you want from me?" he asked, his voice cracking. "Please. Just tell me. What do you want?"

Lilith stared at him. Her playful demeanor was gone. Her crimson eyes softened, and for a moment, she looked almost vulnerable.

She stepped closer. Her small hand reached up and gently cupped his cheek again. This time, Lucien didn’t flinch. He didn’t have the strength to.

"You," she whispered. "I want everything about you."

Lucien’s breath hitched.

"I want your heart," she continued, her voice barely audible, yet it seemed to echo in his very soul. "Your soul. Your smile. Your tears. I want your anger. Your fear. Your joy. All of it. All of you."

She leaned closer, her forehead pressing against his. Her silver-white hair cascaded around them like a curtain, shutting out the world.

"Every breath you take," she breathed, "every beat of your heart, every thought that crosses your mind—I want to own it all. I want to drown in you, darling. I want to lose myself in your existence."

Her crimson eyes gleamed with an ancient, terrifying devotion.

"I’ve waited centuries for you. I’ve killed for you. I’ve died for you. And I would do it all again. A thousand times. A million times. As long as I get to have you in the end."

Her obsessive voice rang out in Lucien’s ears, wrapping around his mind like chains of silk and shadow.

He sighed internally. Why couldn’t he escape this ill fate? When he accepted Seraphina, a Yandere full of hell of obsession, now a nightmare had descended upon him.

If Seraphina was hell of obsession to him, the Lilith before him was a nightmare of obsession.

Ding!

[Host is advised to tame this obsession immediately. Failure to do so may result in catastrophic consequences.]

[Wish you success, Host. You will need it.]

Lucien stared at the notification. His headache intensified tenfold. He felt the familiar pressure of Seraphina’s obsession pressing against his mind. And now Lilith’s obsession wrapped around him like chains of shadow, cold and inescapable.

He was trapped between two Yanderes. Two obsessive wives. Two forces of nature that could tear the world apart.

And both of them wanted him.

Lilith pulled back slightly, her crimson eyes searching his face with a hunger that made his skin crawl. "What’s wrong, darling? You look like you’ve seen a ghost."

Lucien opened his mouth to respond.

But before he could speak,

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

The voice was sharp. Deadly. Filled with pure, unbridled rage that shook the very air.

Lilith didn’t flinch. She simply tilted her head, her smile curling into something dark and amused.

"Oh," she said softly, her crimson eyes glinting. "That bitch has arrived."

The temperature dropped. The sky darkened. And in the distance, a golden flame began to burn, bright, furious, and hungry.
