Chapter 113: Safe Cub
"Ally..." Ayra leaned closer as she gently called out to the cub. "Ally.. here, here..." She stretched out her hand to grab the cub’s attention.
Ally was still crawling around the snake’s body when she slowly stopped. She turned and stared down at her mother who was calling her to her. Her eyes searched Ayra and the others around there in silence.
She blinked as the snake kept moving itself around the cub.
Ayra slowly moved closer to them as she said, "Right here... Come here to Mama..." She said in a soothing tone as she stretched out her hand to Ally, while pulling closer to the snake.
"Careful not to trigger the snake..." Lord Vale warned.
But Ayra said, "Don’t worry.. I know what I’m doing..." She assured as she moved closer.
Ayra summoned her pheromones through the system.
[Ding]
[Congratulations, soothing pheromones activated]
And as she moved closer to the snake, her activated pheromones affected the wild snake.
"Come here..." Ayra got closer to them as she went down on her knees, stretching out for the cub to come to her.
And without much hesitation, Ally instantly smiled as she slowly descended from the snake’s body and headed to meet her mother.
The snake didn’t stop her. It didn’t pull Ally back but rather the snake had used its head and gently pushed the cub further to her mother.
The beastmen around were shocked. They knew wild beastmen around here to be rather territorial and deadly with anyone trespassing their areas. But they didn’t lay a single finger on these females.
Rather the wild snake was even nice enough to help the cub get to her mother. Indeed, these female pheromones were unmatched!
They watched as Ally crawled back into Ayra’s arms and she carried her fox cub with a smile lingering on the corner of her lips. She was happy again to be able to hold her cub safely.
"Welcome back to Mama, little Ally... Mama has missed you," she smiled happily, holding onto her. While little Ally crawled around happily in her arms.
Ayra looked up at the snake before her. She still let her pheromones linger in the atmosphere while the snake slowly pulled away.
And to the surprise of the beastmen around, the snake slowly turned and made its way into the bushes, disappearing into the distance until there were no signs of it anywhere.
There was silence amongst them for a while as Rai slowly approached. "Are you sure we should not go after the snake...?"
Lord Ash scoffed as he said, "For the fact that it didn’t try laying a hand on my daughter, we’ll let it live for now," he explained as the other lords nodded in agreement.
Rai stared down at Ayra who was still cuddling up to the cub in her arms. He let out a sigh of relief. "I’m glad everything worked out... I’m glad we finally found little Ally safely."
Lord Ash approached with a smile, staring down at the little cub in her arms. He stretched out his hand and gently patted Ally on her ears. "I guess the little one was ready for manifestation and had to cause some drama for everyone."
Lord Vale smiled with both arms folded. "Sending the whole tribe into panic and a search frenzy," he sighed. "While she was just sleeping peacefully at her spot."
Rai smiled while patting the little one by the ears too. "I guess she needed some attention to tell everyone that she could walk. While also showing us her impressive S-rank skill."
Lord Ash nodded proudly. "Indeed. That’s my little girl."
They all marveled at the little girl in Ayra’s arms, playing around and muttering some inaudible words while Ayra ran her fingers through her face. She grabbed onto her mother’s fingers, playing with it while muttering words.
"As long as she’s safe now... That’s all that matters," Ayra smiled as she said. "Next time Ally, don’t run off like that okay? Always tell Mama," she insisted, hoping that the little one would hear it.
But Ally casually had her eyes on her mother’s fingers which she was playing with. And soon, her stomach grumbled loudly.
"..." The beastmen all paused, all staring in the direction of the cub and Ayra.
"It wasn’t me..." Rai instantly denied as all eyes fell on the cub who was happily smiling and playing with Ayra’s fingers.
Lord Vale smiled as he said, "I guess someone is hungry after all that running."
"Let’s get back," Lord Ash announced. "We’ll get the best meal made just for my S-rank awakened cub."

Ayra wasn’t alone in her room the moment she arrived. She sat there with the cub in her arms, gently feeding the cub while a good number of beastmen gathered around her.
Rai, Kan and a few of their peers knelt closely in front, watching as the female fed the cub and enjoyed the scene of the cub eating peacefully as well.
At the side was Commander Lynn and Lord Ash standing and watching the scene as well. Lord Vale and Zark stood closely as well, watching. Some elders were standing at a distance along with some warriors. The rabbit chef and some of his workers were present as well.
All had gathered to get a closer look at the cub that had returned safely. And some were also gathered outside the female’s house to make sure everything was alright.
They were all worried about the tribe’s first cub on hearing that she had gone missing. But with the news that the cub was back, safe and sound, everyone was relieved.
And especially with the news spreading fast about the cub awakening and manifesting her rank, everyone was sent in a thrill!
"The cub is an S-rank female??"
"What a news!"
"She soothed a wild snake all alone?"
"That’s insane! The cub is already so powerful! An S-rank indeed!"
"We sure are blessed!"
The whole tribe was thrilled at this news as they gathered to get a closer look of the cub themselves.
