Chapter 109: Jealousy
The audience watched, feeling emotional over the bonding between the two. They couldn’t help but feel warmth over how Ayra had coaxed Rai.
There was silence as they simply watched. Ayra on the other hand held him gently and closely, calming him down with her scent until he was feeling better.
"So it’s okay.. don’t worry," she smiled, holding him firmly. "Okay?"
Rai was sobbing while nodding in her arms like a little baby who was being comforted by their mother.
And while he stayed like that, the three tribe leaders stood there staring at him with a firm expression.
They weren’t giving Rai the comforting eyes at all. But the three tribe leaders were staring in jealousy at how close he was getting with the female.
Then, Lord Zark approached them as he patted Rai by the back. "It’s okay... Don’t worry, we’re all here for you," he nodded as he gently pulled him from the female.
Lord Ash also agreed as he came to pat Rai by the shoulder. "Yeah yeah.. no one blames you. I understand, okay?" He smiled at him.
Lord Vale also approached, standing before him while patting the wolf by the ears. "So don’t worry at all from now.. okay? We and the female are here..."
Rai had stopped crying. Staring at the kind gesture from the tribe leaders with Zark standing behind him, Ash standing at his side and Vale standing before him. All casting him a "warm" smile.
But he certainly didn’t need any special magic to understand that these tribe leaders were jealous of this youth who was getting too close to the female!
Rai slowly nodded. "Mm..."

While the audience stared amongst themselves, commenting on how kind and generous the female was, Ayra turned and stared at the lords.
"We shouldn’t care about all that now, let’s set off to look for Ally immediately," she looked around. "I believe she’s close by somewhere..."
Lord Ash turned and nodded as well. "Yeah, I think that’s the case. Let’s set off and start searching, I believe we’ll find something."
They all agreed as Lord Zark immediately turned to the beastmen around and began instructing them. The tribe leaders took fractions of the beastmen of the tribe who had gathered.
Lord Zark leading some off to kick off his search at an end, Vale taking his share while Lord Ash and Ayra took another.
Ayra smiled at Rai. "So don’t blame yourself and let’s go and search for her. I’m sure she’ll be fine," Ayra smiled as she stretched her hand for Rai.
Rai nodded while taking Ayra’s hand as the two of them turned and walked with the others, searching for Ally. And as they moved, Lord Ash couldn’t help but stand and watch them from behind.
The fox couldn’t help but be jealous of the hand holding between the two.
---
The tribe had taken this with great attention as it had turned to a state of emergency. Everyone panicked while they worked in groups looking for the cub with great caution.
The tribe was filled with people moving in groups and in different directions. Beastmen walking up and down and around the tribe while calling after the cub.
"Little foxy!"
"Ally!"
"Our little cub!"
They all called while moving in different directions. Warriors marching into the woods while searching, elderly beastmen and teens moving around the tribe and looking everywhere.
Ayra and her team were moving. They had been moving for hours now and there was still no sign of the cub at all.
Ayra couldn’t help but grow worried. She wondered where Ally could have run off to. The tribe was a dangerous place to explore on your own, so she couldn’t help but wonder where she could be.
Lord Ash stood closely beside her, comforting her as they continued searching.
"Don’t worry, we’ll find her. Okay?" He kept her up with the comforting words while they moved.
The search went on for hours. The atmosphere thick with worry and emergency as they moved across the tribe bushes and woods in search of the cub.
But nothing was happening at all. Ayra had even tried summoning the system and asking for where her cub could be.
But the system had simply loaded for a while without any significant response.

[System error!]
[System can’t detect anything]
[No task at hand]
Ayra was basically speechless. She guessed the system wasn’t really of help at all.
They had searched across the place that most of the teams had mixed up.
Commander Lynn and the three tribe leaders had soon joined in Ayra’s team. Moving while searching.
Ayra was getting more worried as time went past and still no sign of the cub. "Are we sure she’s still around here..." She paused as she thought in panic.
"What if she had journeyed into a contaminated zone...?" She couldn’t help but grow more worried.
But Lord Vale patted her gently by the shoulder as he said, "Don’t worry, that won’t happen. Little Ally will be fine.."
Lord Zark nodded as he slowly led Ayra to take a seat at a rock close to a tree. He helped her gently sit down as he said, "Don’t worry and stress out about it too much. Even if it takes forever, we’ll make sure we find her safely."
They promised but Ayra couldn’t help but be worried. She couldn’t even sit down comfortably and think of resting when her little cub was nowhere to be seen.
She was just worried.
"Sit here and rest. I’ll go and get you some refreshing water to have before we continue our search again!" Rai said as he instantly rushed off to get some water for Ayra.
Rai rushed off to the little stream pond that was located in the middle of the tribe’s jurisdiction. A spot flowing with suitable water where they mostly drank.
He had arrived there and had grabbed a little wooden container close by to grab some water in the stream for Ayra.
But as he leaned closer to grab some water, his eyes met with little Ally.
