「In Cloud Abyss Hall.」

Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant appeared by the bed.

The room was dimly lit, with a soft couch placed by the window.

The rain outside had stopped.

A gentle breeze stirred, wafting a few flower petals through the open window to scatter on the floor.

Still in Javier Sinclair’s arms, Celeste Grant glanced at the bed and said, "Husband, you can put me down."

Javier Sinclair, who was holding her, glanced down at her before walking over and setting her down on the bed. She braced herself with one hand on the mattress and rubbed her lower back with the other.

Perhaps noticing her movement, Javier Sinclair, who stood before her, let a faint smile touch his eyes. "Are you alright, my dear wife?"

Celeste Grant’s face flushed at his words, and she playfully kicked at him. "How can you even ask? It’s all your fault! In a place like that... Ahem." ’Probably best not to talk about that,’ she thought.

He simply nodded, catching her ankle. He personally took off her shoe, set it aside, and lifted her legs onto the bed. "My apologies for tiring you out, my dear wife," he said. "I’ll be more careful next time."

Celeste Grant rolled her eyes at him. "You think there’s going to be a next time? You’ve just booked a spot on the floor for tonight." She pointed sternly at the floor, then patted the bed, crawled up to the pillow, and flopped onto her stomach. "My... my legs are still shaking."

Javier Sinclair glanced at the floor, then back at his wife on the bed. He simply got into bed and lay down beside her.

’Sleep on the floor? Not a chance.’

He reached out and gently stroked her hair.

"Celeste."

He scooted a little closer.

Celeste Grant, still lying on her stomach, turned her head to look at him. She saw him rest a hand lightly on her lower back. She rolled her eyes and ordered, "Massage it for me."

"Of course. I am at my lady’s service." Javier Sinclair was more than happy to oblige, and he began to gently massage her back.

Celeste Grant closed her eyes, occasionally directing him. "A little to the left... to the right... a bit higher... that’s not bad..."

As she lay on the pillow, Celeste Grant’s body and mind relaxed, and she soon drifted off to sleep. When she fell silent, Javier Sinclair stopped and looked at her face.

Seeing that she was asleep, Javier Sinclair made a small gesture. The blanket floated up and covered them both. He then reached out, pulled her into his arms, and closed his eyes, leaning gently against her.

「Early the next morning.」

When Celeste Grant woke up, the first thing she felt was a firm chest under her hand.

She opened her eyes and glanced over.

The man beside her was lying on his side, one arm draped over her waist. Celeste Grant pulled her hand away from his chest and sat up.

Sitting on the bed, she glanced at the still-slumbering Javier Sinclair, then leaned in close and called out, "Aren’t you getting up? The sun’s high enough to bake your buns!"

As soon as she spoke, a lazy voice drifted back.

"Can’t. I’m wearing pants."

Celeste Grant froze for a second before collapsing onto his chest in a fit of laughter. "HAHAHA... Wearing pants... Well, Mr. Archfiend, tell me, are we talking long johns or flannel pajama bottoms?"

An arm snaked around her shoulders, pulling her head down against his chest. His deep voice rumbled in her ear. "And what does my dear wife think I should be wearing?"

Seeing his deadpan expression, Celeste Grant smiled, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, "Actually, I think your legs would look just fine... without anything at all."

Javier Sinclair blushed.

He opened his eyes to meet her smiling face.

Javier Sinclair reached out and gently tapped her on the forehead. "You’re shameless. You’ll say anything, won’t you?"

Celeste Grant replied, "Didn’t you know? I’m Goldie now."

Javier Sinclair chuckled.

He gave her a light swat on the behind.

"Get up, now. Don’t you have to find a Taoist Companion for that... Daisy?"

"Oh, right!"

...

After getting up, Celeste Grant remembered the photo she had taken the day before. Her plan had been to send it to Mrs. Rook to show Daisy and see what she thought. But then Javier Sinclair had shown up, and the matter had completely slipped her mind.

No time like the present.

Celeste Grant brought her fingers together in front of her face and directly used the Sound Transmission Skill to summon them.

"Daisy, Mrs. Rook, come to Cloud Abyss Hall."

As soon as she finished speaking, their replies came through.

"Yes, My Lady."

"On my way, My Lady."

When they arrived, Celeste Grant was sitting at a stone table in the courtyard. Spirit Fruits and tea were laid out on the table.

Daisy Grant and her sister-in-law, Rowan Forrest, arrived quickly, their figures appearing in the distance just a moment later. They walked up and bowed.

"Greetings, My Lady."

"My Lady."

Daisy Grant was a direct person, a trait she shared with her older brother, Damon Grant. After bowing, she asked, "My Lady, why did you summon me?"

Rowan Forrest also looked over curiously. "My Lady, did you have instructions for us?"

Celeste Grant beckoned them over.

"Daisy, both of you, come here."

As she spoke, she took out her phone, pulled up a photo she’d taken yesterday, and showed it to them. "I was passing a matchmaking agency yesterday and happened to see this male cultivator looking for a Taoist Companion. He’s looking for someone tall, with high Cultivation, and he’s even willing to marry into his partner’s family. I immediately thought of you, Daisy. I felt like you two might be a good match, so I snapped a quick picture. I wanted to see if you’d be interested in checking it out. Who knows, it might be fate."

Daisy Grant stared at the male cultivator in the photo, stunned. "He’s... he’s so handsome." At that, Celeste Grant saw Daisy’s face turn a visible shade of red. Daisy latched onto the main point. "And he’s willing to marry into the family?"

Celeste Grant nodded. "He’s certainly handsome, though he looks a little frail."

Daisy Grant waved that concern away. "Handsome is all that matters. A little frail is no big deal. If he became my husband, we have all kinds of Spiritual Medicine at home. We could nurse him back to health easily." She glanced at the photo on the phone again, then scratched her head in embarrassment. "But... there’s no way he’d be interested in someone like me."

Daisy Grant was well aware of her own appearance.

With her fierce-looking face and tall, imposing figure, she had never been the type male cultivators went for. Growing up, they had always avoided her like the plague.

Celeste Grant glanced at Daisy, and from her expression, she knew Daisy was definitely interested. ’See? I’m an excellent judge of character,’ she thought to herself.

With that in mind, she said, "So, what do you think? Want me to arrange a meeting? Maybe you’re exactly his type."

"Wait, wait, I have something to say."

Rowan Forrest, who was holding the phone, stared at the picture, her expression hesitant. "Doesn’t this cultivator look a bit too frail? Look how pale he is. He looks just as scrawny as my senior brothers—like a bamboo pole."
