Chapter 355 - 353: I Could Still Go For It, Even If You Were a Skeleton (Part 2)

She paused for a moment as she spoke, looking at him with great seriousness. "So, no matter what you turn into, no matter what form you take when you appear before me, the one I love is you. Even if you were a skeleton, I could still fall asleep holding you."

Javier Sinclair remained silent.

She continued, "See? You get jealous of your own self, and you get *this* jealous."

He was the type who responded to a soft touch, not a firm hand.

And just like that.

Seeing her so gentle, Javier Sinclair found himself at a loss for words. He could only stand there, letting her hold him.

His face and the tips of his ears flushed red.

He said aloud, "Don’t think that just because of this, I’ll..." ’...I’ll what? It doesn’t seem to matter anymore.’ Looking at the woman in his arms, his gaze softened.

’Wait... a skeleton? Can’t this woman say anything nice?’ The thought came to him, and he spoke up. "What nonsense is that? How could I possibly be a skeleton?"

Celeste Grant laughed, still holding him.

"It was just an analogy."

"Hmph!" Javier Sinclair snorted. "You can even bring yourself to kiss a skeleton? Should I be praising you for that? If that’s what you’re into, it’s not like I can’t oblige."

Hearing this, Celeste Grant looked up at him. She placed a hand gently on his chest and said, "If you don’t believe me, turn into a skeleton and try me. We’ll see if I can go through with it."

He shot her a devilish look.

"Is that so?"

’He’d like to see just how brave this woman really was. A skeleton? That was a simple enough transformation. But would it really not scare her? Then again, skulls are actually quite aesthetically pleasing.’

Javier Sinclair glanced at her, a flash of crimson in his eyes.

Then, before Celeste Grant’s eyes, a clothed skeleton appeared. Looking up, she saw a skull with two glowing red orbs for eyes, staring straight at her.

Even without a face, she could feel his mischievous gaze on her.

"So? Can you still go through with it now?"

Celeste Grant continued to stare at him.

Her gaze traveled down from his head to his neck.

Celeste Grant’s eyes shone brightly as she stared at him, her gaze intense. She wasn’t the least bit afraid. On the contrary, she found it fascinating.

’It’s just a skull. It’s not like I’ve never seen one before. Besides, since it was Javier Sinclair who transformed into it, there was even less reason to be bothered.’

"You don’t mind if I take a closer look, do you, The Archfiend?"

He held out a skeletal hand in a gesture. "Be my guest."

The moment Javier Sinclair finished speaking, Celeste Grant, her face full of curiosity, reached out and pulled open his shirt, her eyes landing on his chest.

He looked just like the skeletons she’d seen on TV. "Wow, what kind of Magic is this? You really can turn into a little skeleton... wait, no, you’re a big skeleton now."

As she spoke, she reached out and ran a hand over his bony frame. "So this is what the bones under your eight-pack look like. This sense of power, and this silvery-white, jade-like color... it’s incredible." She stroked them again and again, her fingers caressing the bone. "They feel really good, too."

Javier Sinclair blushed.

He reached out, grabbing her roving hand. His voice was a pitch higher when he spoke.

"You shameless woman!"

"Stop groping me."

’He wasn’t a real skeleton. He could still feel it when she touched him like that.’

Celeste Grant’s gaze shifted to her own wrist, where his hand was holding her. She saw his well-defined, bony fingers clasped around her fair wrist.

Well-defined, in the most literal sense of the word.

The bones of the skeletal hand looked powerful, wreathed in Demonic Qi. This was a natural Demon Bone.

"Your hand is beautiful."

As she spoke, she pressed his hand to her cheek. "It’s so cool to the touch... it’s actually quite nice." Tilting her head slightly, she placed a kiss on his bony finger.

’Javier Sinclair’s heart pounded, a blush creeping over him. This woman was absolutely crazy about him. To think she’d even love him in this skeletal form.’

Just then, Celeste Grant’s gaze started to travel down from his chest, but a bony finger from Javier Sinclair tilted her chin up. He said, "Where are you looking?"

Celeste Grant glanced at him and said, "I was just curious if... *that*... is still there when you’re a skeleton."

Javier Sinclair: "..."

The red eyes in his skull flickered toward her. "No, you’re not."

Celeste Grant put on an all-knowing expression. "Got it. It’s just like on TV then. There’s nothing there."

Nothing there.

As in, incapable.

’How could a man be told he has ’nothing’?’

The pair of blood-red eyes drew closer, the skull looming large before her. When he was just inches away, he lowered his voice. "Why don’t you find out for yourself?"

As he spoke, his form shifted back, and Javier Sinclair’s handsome face reappeared before her. At the same time, Celeste Grant felt an arm tighten around her waist, pulling her into his embrace.

His large hand wrapped around her waist as he leaned in and captured her lips.

His kiss was domineering and forceful.

He parted her lips, the kiss deepening into a passionate tangle.

’The feeling of holding her in the flesh... it was even better than that time in his Sea of the Primordial Spirit.’

Kissing her, he gripped her waist and lifted her up, having her wrap her legs around his waist.

In moments like this, Javier Sinclair liked to take the lead, at once gentle and forceful. She was his prey, targeted by a fierce beast, left with no choice but to be "bullied" by him.

One hand supported her bottom while the other held her waist. Without thinking, his hand found the tie in her hair and snapped it.

Her long hair tumbled down.

It cascaded smoothly over her shoulders.

When the kiss ended,

He lifted his head to look at the woman in his arms.

She was so beautiful with her hair let down like this.

’Javier Sinclair had seen countless women, but in the past, none had ever made him look twice. The woman before him, however, seemed to have been made just for him; she was beautiful from every angle. Is this what they mean by ’to each their own’?’

’So this was what it meant for a woman’s beauty to outshine a flower’s.’

"Celeste, you’re beautiful."

Celeste Grant smiled, her eyes on his face. "If we’re talking about beauty," she said in a low voice, "you’re the real work of art here."

Seeing her smile,

Javier Sinclair’s mind drifted back to their last encounter in his Primordial Spirit Sea, to the intimacy they had shared. Those images flooded his mind as his gaze settled on Celeste Grant’s face.

His Adam’s apple bobbed as he leaned in to kiss her again.

This time, he picked her up and laid her down on the sofa.

The house was very quiet.

No one was there.

On the sofa.

He leaned over to kiss her.

His body enveloped her.

Then, a RIIIP.

Celeste Grant froze for a moment.

"My shirt."

Javier Sinclair propped himself up on one hand beside her, staring at the shirt he’d just torn and a button that was still rolling across the floor. He couldn’t help but comment, "Your clothes are so strange. It’s a little hard to get them off."

"Do you hear yourself right now? ’Hard to get off’...? Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were some kind of brute forcing himself on a helpless maiden." Celeste Grant laughed, shooting him a playful glare. "Why so rough, The Archfiend? You tore my shirt."

His expression was perfectly calm as his gaze fell upon her lacy lingerie. Then, he asked,

"And what’s this?"

Following his gaze,

Celeste Grant blushed. She shot Javier Sinclair a look and said, "Nothing for you to be curious about."

"I’ll tell you somewhere else."
