Chapter 356 - 354: Father and Son Meet (Part 1)
"Let’s go to my room." As she spoke, she grabbed his arm and gave it a light tug. The next moment, they both vanished from the living room sofa. When they reappeared, they were in Celeste Grant’s master bedroom on the second floor.
Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant reappeared on the bed. Her body sank into the soft mattress, and he was above her, propped up on one hand. Celeste Grant was still holding his arm, and they were in the same position as they had been on the living room sofa.
Javier Sinclair glanced around the room, his eyes lifting slightly as he spoke.
"This is your room?"
Celeste Grant hummed in affirmation.
"Mhm."
’There’s no scent of any man in this room other than his own. So, her ex-husband never came into this room? Or is there another reason?’
He subconsciously asked, "Has your ex-husband been dead for a long time?"
Has your ex-husband been dead for a long time? Dead for a long time! Dead for a long time! Dead for a long time. The question echoed in Celeste Grant’s ears. In any case, hearing this made Celeste Grant choke.
"COUGH..." she said. "Hubby, you really know how to surprise me." ’It was one thing for me to suddenly bring up an ex-husband, but now he’s asking if the man has been dead for a long time.’
’The Javier Sinclair from before and the Javier Sinclair now are the same person. They really are. I’m sure I wouldn’t mistake him for someone else. Well, if you count the death of a physical body, then in a way, he really has died once before. But this is Cultivation, and in Cultivation, anything is possible.’
’So does that make the Javier Sinclair in front of me Number Two?’
She gave a dry laugh and said, "As long as you’re happy, Hubby. You can see it that way if you want. Never mind, that’s not important." As she spoke, she walked two fingers up his shoulder and onto his face. "Don’t you think this isn’t the time to be talking about that?"
Her touch made Javier Sinclair freeze. His gaze shifted to her face, and his Adam’s apple bobbed subconsciously.
His voice was slightly hoarse as he said, "You’re right."
’Last time, in his Sea of the Primordial Spirit, he and this woman did everything they were supposed to do. But now, she was truly, physically in his arms.’
"Are you willing?"
She lifted her gaze slightly.
Meeting his deep, gentle eyes, Celeste Grant whispered.
"You talk too much."
Her hand moved to his neck, and she pulled him down. Leaning close to his ear, she whispered, "You love to overthink things. From now on, just think about me."
’Celeste Grant felt this man was just insecure right now. He seemed to think he was the other man, so words were useless. It was better to show him through her actions whether she cared about him or not.’
Her lips brushed against his ear.
The sound of the man’s ragged breathing filled her ears.
Javier Sinclair didn’t answer, but the hand on her waist tightened slightly.
In that moment, he shifted from passive to active, leaning down to capture her lips...
Celeste Grant had forgotten.
Her current body was still like a flower.
Untouched.
And then came the suffering.
"Be gentle."
"It hurts a little."
"My lady."
"Celeste... I’ll be good to you, better than your ex-husband was. No, wait, your ex-husband never even..."
A hand shot out and covered his mouth...
Inside the room.
The sounds were intermittent.
For a long, long time.
The curtains were drawn, leaving the room dim.
They didn’t leave the room from afternoon until night.
That evening, sounds came from the kitchen downstairs.
It was Leo, making dinner.
In the living room, Aaron Sinclair, who had just returned, was sitting on the sofa eating nuts. CRUNCH, CRUNCH. With the way he was eating, he looked a bit like a little squirrel.
He tilted his head slightly, glancing toward the second floor.
That familiar aura belonged to his biological father, Javier Sinclair.
Earlier that afternoon, his father had appeared out of the void. He vanished in an instant, but many people on Earth had seen that figure. If Aaron hadn’t made a call to the higher-ups, the country would have gone to Level 1 alert.
Aaron Sinclair was still very happy that his family could be reunited.
He was in a good mood.
He couldn’t help but hum a song.
It was a pop song they had been playing every morning and evening at the cultivation plaza lately, and he could more or less hum a few lines.
Aaron Sinclair now had short, choppy hair and was dressed in modern casual wear: a white T-shirt, linen pants, and a pair of white sneakers. Just sitting there casually, he exuded a relaxed and comfortable feeling, overflowing with a youthful, sunny aura.
His entire outfit was just an illusion; he hadn’t actually cut his hair short. In his own words, it was "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."
In this world, most men had short hair. Only actors and historical costume enthusiasts would wear traditional clothing. He didn’t want people taking his picture everywhere he went, so he had changed his appearance.
Soon, Leo brought all sorts of dishes to the table. They were having hot pot tonight. Platters of freshly sliced beef and lamb rolls were placed on the table, along with plenty of fresh vegetables, various seafood balls, and other things. Among them were a few types of demon beast meat that Aaron Sinclair had brought from the Cultivation World, which were delicious when cooked in the hot pot.
After getting everything ready, Leo prepared to go upstairs to call her young mistress for dinner. But then she discovered what seemed to be a barrier at the top of the stairs. It was soft and yielding, and she couldn’t get past it.
"Is this a barrier?"
Aaron Sinclair, still on the sofa, chuckled. "My dad’s upstairs. You won’t be able to get through."
Hearing this, Nana Warren was clearly stunned for a moment.
She muttered, "The young master’s biological father... isn’t that my young mistress’s husband?" Leo glanced upstairs again, a look of understanding on her face. "Oh, so the master of the house is back. The young mistress and the master haven’t seen each other in so long, they must have a lot to talk about. We shouldn’t disturb them, then. Young Master, didn’t you say you wanted hot pot earlier? I went to buy fresh ingredients first thing this morning. Come and try the soup base I made and tell me what you think."
Nana Warren treated Aaron Sinclair, who had come to this home, the same way she treated Celeste Grant—with the utmost respect and deference of a loyal servant.
Who would have thought that this young man, who was taller than her, was actually her young mistress’s biological son? Every time Leo saw him, she felt like she was in a fantasy novel. But his face bore a slight resemblance to Celeste Grant’s, so from the moment they met, she was certain he was indeed her mistress’s son.
In the six months since coming to Earth from the Cultivation World, he and Leo from the household had gotten to know each other quite well.
After he got up and sat down, she didn’t forget to remind him, "Be careful, sweetie, it’s hot."
Aaron Sinclair’s mouth twitched, and he gave a dry laugh.
"Aunt Warren, I’m already grown up."
Hearing this, Leo nodded repeatedly and lightly slapped her own mouth. "Oh, listen to me. That’s right, our young master is all grown up, a real man now. Quick, try today’s food and see if you like it."
As she spoke, she sat down across from him, ready to eat.
