As he spoke, he tightened his arms around her.

Javier Sinclair’s gaze fell on Celeste Grant’s face, and he seemed lost in thought.

During his time in the Demonic Domain, his mind had been a complete mess.

He was honestly baffled by her existence. Before Celeste Grant was pulled into his Sea of the Primordial Spirit, he had truly never met her. And yet, she not only shared a marriage line with him and was connected to his Divine Soul, but she was also his Taoist Companion.

And that wasn’t even mentioning he’d suddenly become a father.

But the feeling of missing her, of wanting to see her, was real. It made Javier Sinclair believe that they really did have a past together. ’Could it be that I sent a sliver of my Primordial Spirit to another world while I was in seclusion?’ He really couldn’t explain the situation otherwise.

He was desperate to find her, to see her. At the same time, he was mired in self-doubt, thinking the one she loved wasn’t him, but another Javier Sinclair. Yet another voice insisted that Celeste Grant was his Taoist Companion, his wife, and it was only natural for him to seek her out.

The end result of this internal struggle was that he felt like he was the ’other man’ intruding on someone else’s relationship.

’Then again, what’s wrong with me, the supreme ruler of the Demonic Domain, taking a liking to a woman? If I have to steal her, I’ll steal her. I’ll do it with my own abilities, so it’s not like I’d have to give her back. So it doesn’t matter if I’m the person she speaks of. What’s important is that I’m the one by her side from now on. That’s all that matters.’

With that thought, his mood instantly improved.

Javier Sinclair had already made up his mind. He would drive that person out of her heart. From now on, that woman, Celeste Grant, could only have him in her heart. Even if that other person might also be him, he refused to accept it.

The moment he saw her, Javier Sinclair subconsciously wanted to be close to her; there was no sense of unfamiliarity at all. On the contrary, it felt like they were an old married couple. For that reason, he had no doubt that Celeste Grant was his Taoist Companion.

"Celeste."

He called her name softly.

Holding her, Javier Sinclair bent down slightly, resting his chin on her shoulder and nuzzling it. He said, "I’ve been thinking of you this whole time, wanting to see you." His face then turned cold as he huffed. "If it weren’t for some clueless fools who got overconfident and were eager to die, I would have come for you sooner. They made me late. Death would be too good for them."

’The Archfiend is still the same as ever.’

’Always talking about death this, death that.’

’So he got into a fight in that... Demonic Domain? With Javier Sinclair’s Cultivation, anyone who could face him must be a top-tier expert.’

Hearing him say this, Celeste Grant froze for a moment. She instinctively pressed against his chest and asked, "Are you hurt? No wonder I haven’t heard from you in half a year. I was worried sick, and I couldn’t sense your presence."

He looked smug. "Don’t worry, your husband is perfectly fine! If they want to kill me, they first need to see if they have the ability. Since they were rushing to their deaths, of course I had to grant them their wish—a grand prize package of having their Divine Souls annihilated and scattered to dust."

’Wait, why would he use a term like ’grand prize package’? Ah, whatever, it’s not important.’

Celeste Grant felt relieved. It seemed that no matter where he was, The Archfiend’s combat power was top-tier.

Celeste Grant chuckled and said, "Look at you, getting all cocky. I know you’re powerful, but you still need to be careful and not underestimate your enemies. You know why villains die so quickly, right? It’s because they get proud and complacent, and then someone takes them out."

Knowing she meant well, Javier Sinclair didn’t argue and just hummed in agreement. The word "villain," however, sounded very familiar. The moment she said it, he understood.

"Anyway, let’s not talk about that. You said half a year has passed here?"

Celeste Grant nodded slightly. "Mhm, it’s been over half a year since I last saw you in your Sea of the Primordial Spirit."

Javier Sinclair was stunned to hear about the half-year. "Half a year has already passed for you? For me, it’s only been half a month since we parted in my Sea of the Primordial Spirit."

Celeste Grant was a little surprised to hear him say it had only been half a month. But she also felt it was normal; the flow of time was likely different between two worlds.

Thinking of this, she said, "The flow of time is probably different."

Javier Sinclair nodded slightly. "That must be it. It’s also possible the flow of time sped up after I entered the Void Channel." He shook his head slightly and hugged her tighter, resting on her shoulder again. He murmured, "None of that is important. I’ve found you now. What about you? Did you miss me?"

Celeste Grant wrapped her arms around his waist, leaning into his embrace. "I’ve been missing you constantly." As she spoke, she clutched his clothes. "Javier Sinclair, I’ve been waiting for you."

Satisfied, a smile spread across his face. "Hmph. Guess you have some conscience after all."

At this, he lifted his head from her shoulder and stared into her eyes. "But... were you missing me, or him?"

Celeste Grant was speechless at his question.

’Is there any difference?’

’Aren’t they both you?’

’Sigh.’

’When is this damn man finally going to remember? When will his brain go back to normal?’

Celeste Grant sighed. "Sigh..."

She couldn’t help but sigh again.

She reached out, grabbing both of his arms and pushing him back a little.

Seeing her push him away, Javier Sinclair felt his heart ache.

He looked at her, his expression twisting with awkwardness and frustration, and gritted his teeth. "You woman, you don’t have me in your heart at all! And to think I depleted my Cultivation and suppressed my realm just to come all the way to this Lower Realm to find you."

"Heh! You say you miss me, that you love me, but the one you’ve been thinking about is that man of yours. I just happen to look like him."

’Here we go again.’

’He was only normal for a moment!!!!’

Celeste Grant: "..."

Celeste Grant could practically feel a crow flying over her head.

She opened her mouth but said nothing, simply sizing him up.

’This is completely ridiculous! Has my husband cast himself as the other man now? He has the status of the rightful husband but the attitude of a third wheel. Are you serious, fighting for your own spot like this?’

Javier Sinclair glanced at her. "What’s the meaning of this silence? Heh! I get it. You have nothing to say, do you?"

Celeste Grant’s mouth twitched, and she couldn’t help but say, "You’re being a little too dramatic."

’Don’t ask.’

’If you ask, it’s because I couldn’t help it.’

She glanced at him.

She couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

"PFFT HAHAHA..." She patted his shoulder lightly, then said with a laugh, "My dear husband, my darling hubby, you should take a look at yourself right now, fighting for your own position. It’s killing me! It really serves you right to have a wife."

’According to the usual tropes, an amnesiac would gain a life-saving benefactor, or mistake someone else for their lover. Then would begin a heart-wrenching, angsty romance arc. But for it to turn out like this with him... this is a refreshingly bizarre take I’ve never seen before.’

’He lost his memories.’

’He thinks he’s the other man.’

’And he’s even invented an ’ex-husband’ for me out of thin air.’

"As expected of The Archfiend, your thought processes are just built differently. Javier Sinclair, you’re a Demon Cultivator, a top-tier Archfiend with a powerful villainous aura. How can you be so adorable?"

As she spoke, Celeste Grant cupped his face and rubbed his cheeks vigorously. Then she pressed her cheek against his and wrapped her arms around his neck. After her laughter subsided, she gently stroked his hair with one hand and said in a tender voice, "My husband, the one I’ve loved from beginning to end has always been you, whether you remember or not. You are my, Celeste Grant’s, husband, and you are the father of my child."
