After they sat down, Leo set out bowls and chopsticks for them. She spoke, "These dishes were made according to what the lady and the young master like. I hope you find them to your taste, sir. In the future, please let me know if there’s anything special you’d like to eat, or if you have any dietary restrictions."

Javier Sinclair said blandly, "I’m not picky. This is fine."

Leo smiled and nodded.

"Of course, sir."

"Ma’am, these are all your favorites. Please, eat up."

’Sir...?’

Javier Sinclair was still savoring the term.

He wasn’t unfamiliar with this form of address.

’She’s a sharp one.’

"Mm."

Javier waved a hand and sat down.

His gaze fell upon the bubbling, steaming broth before him.

He hadn’t even taken a bite, but he could already smell its rich aroma.

Even though this was clearly the first time he’d seen such a novel way of eating, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he’d had this hot pot before.

Just then, Aaron Sinclair, sitting opposite them, looked at his parents and said with a smile, "Dad, I brought all this meat back from the Cultivation World. It’s delicious when you cook it in this broth. You should try it." He used the serving chopsticks to place some food on his father’s plate, then did the same for his mother, giving them both their favorites.

Javier Sinclair raised his eyes slightly to look at this ready-made son of his. ’Suddenly,’ he thought, ’having a son isn’t so bad after all.’

"Your father will have a taste."

As he spoke, he picked up his chopsticks, took a piece, and ate it.

The texture was incredible. After that one bite, the taste was so good it felt like it had awakened a kind of muscle memory; he found himself subconsciously placing food onto the plate of Celeste Grant, who sat beside him.

"My dear, have this."

"This one is good too."

"And this one is your favorite."

When he finally paused his chopsticks, he looked at the extra food piled in Celeste Grant’s bowl and met her smiling eyes. Javier was a little stunned. ’I actually know what she likes and dislikes.’

He raised his hand, his gaze falling upon it.

’This kind of subconscious reaction could only be possible if I’d served her food countless times before.’

’There was only one possibility. A guess formed in his mind. Perhaps, at some point without his knowledge, he had split off a part of his Primordial Spirit, and that wisp of Primordial Spirit had become her Taoist Companion.’

’When could it have been?’

’Could it have been that time?’

’He remembered the war with the Immortal Domain a thousand years ago. He had been gravely injured then and went into seclusion for a while afterward. Could it really have been then?’

Javier Sinclair had already concocted a reason for himself, and he was convinced his guess was correct.

’If so, then everything would make sense. That would explain why he suddenly had a Taoist Companion and a ready-made son. Not only that, but the resonance in their bloodlines confirmed the boy was his own flesh and blood.’

’But if her dead ex-husband was his Primordial Spirit avatar, then when the avatar died, the Primordial Spirit should have returned to his main body. So why didn’t he have any impression of it? Why couldn’t he remember?’

Just then, Celeste Grant, sitting beside him, glanced over at him. Seeing the conflicted look on his face, as if he’d hit a dead end, she reached out and gently patted his arm. "It’s okay if you can’t remember. Don’t force yourself to think about it," she said. "For me, I’m just happy that you’ve returned safe and sound. Things are good just the way they are now."

She smiled faintly.

Javier Sinclair, however, felt a little embarrassed.

"Stop thinking so much! Eat," he said.

He started eating again, focusing on his food.

The Archfiend’s aura was very powerful.

Leo ate the meal in a state of nervous trepidation.

Celeste Grant’s family of three, on the other hand, seemed completely used to it.

After dinner,

Aaron Sinclair and Leo exchanged a look. It was Leo who spoke up with a smile, "The night view here is beautiful. Since this is your first time here, sir, you could go for a walk with the lady." As she spoke, she glanced at his black, traditional-style robes. "And the lady could buy you some new clothes."

’Most importantly, the boss and her husband haven’t seen each other in so long. This will give them a good chance to reconnect and nurture their relationship.’

’Aaron Sinclair had the same idea. After all, his own father’s memory was shot; he didn’t even remember them. So his mom must want to spend more time with him.’

Celeste Grant didn’t refuse. She nodded slightly. "Alright. It’s been a while since I’ve gone for a proper walk anyway." As she spoke, she walked up and took his hand. "Let’s go together."

A tingling sensation spread through Javier Sinclair’s chest. His gaze fell to where she was holding his hand, and his heart softened. He clasped her hand in his. "Then let’s go for a walk. It’s a good chance for me to see what kind of world you live in."

Celeste Grant nodded slightly. As they were about to leave, she didn’t forget to look at her son. "Sweetheart, do you want to come out with us?"

"No, no."

"You guys go have fun, Mom and Dad! I’ll stay home and play games. I don’t want to be a third wheel." ’That was a new term he’d learned recently, and it was a perfect fit for the situation.’

Javier Sinclair’s gaze shifted to Celeste Grant. He couldn’t help but say, "You still call him ’sweetheart’... The boy is so old now. He’s a grown man."

The moment he finished speaking, Aaron Sinclair burst out laughing. "HAHAHA... Dad, have you lost your memory, or are you just the same as always? Look at you, so envious. There’s a saying, ’jealousy makes a man ugly.’ What’s wrong with Mom calling me sweetheart? Isn’t that normal? I’m still just a kid, you know! That’s right, I’m Mom’s sweetheart."

Javier Sinclair: "..."

’Excellent! This brat is definitely his own flesh and blood, no doubt about it. After all, that sharp tongue of his... he must have inherited it from me.’

Javier Sinclair felt like this kid was asking for a beating.

Before he could say anything,

He heard his son say with a sly grin, "Actually, you could call Mom ’sweetheart’ too. Or she could call you ’darling.’ It’s your right as a couple. As your son, I wholeheartedly approve."

Javier Sinclair blushed at his words.

He subconsciously glanced at Celeste Grant beside him. His gaze fell on her smiling face, and he suddenly thought, ’It might not be such a bad idea...’

But what he said out loud was, "Do you think I am as childish as you?"

Aaron shrugged with a knowing smirk. After all, they had been father and son for so many years; they knew each other inside and out.

Celeste Grant glanced at the father and son, and the corner of her mouth twitched. ’And that’s not childish? The two of them are like little kids who aren’t even seven years old combined.’

She smiled slightly and said, "Alright, son, we’re leaving now. You can watch some TV."

"Got it, Mom. Have fun, you two."

"Okay, we will."

With that, Celeste Grant and Javier Sinclair walked out the door together.

The night sky was beautiful, dotted with countless stars.

The moon, half-hidden, peeked out from behind the clouds.

Standing at their front door, Javier Sinclair asked, "Where are we going?"

「In the past six months.」

The personnel stationed near her home had already left.

Celeste Grant had felt it was an unnecessary waste of resources and manpower. They could be doing more important things than staying to protect her. After all, her safety wasn’t an issue. At least on this planet, Earth, no one could threaten her.

So she didn’t need protection.

The government had also withdrawn their people after understanding the extent of her power.
