As soon as Benjamin Shaw finished speaking, the other three seemed to have agreed with him in advance and all nodded in agreement with his suggestion.

After that, the four of them stopped talking about the big bad wolf and started drinking.

The four of them hadn’t had such a good drink together in a long time, and they decided that tonight they wouldn’t go home until they were drunk.

It was two thirty in the morning by the time they finally left the bar, and by then all four of them were dead drunk.

The four of them were VIP customers at this bar; everyone from top to bottom knew who they were. Before they even walked out of the private room, the bar owner had already arranged designated drivers for each of them in advance.

Thomas Fisher didn’t go back to the home he shared with his parents, but had the driver take him to his own private apartment instead. Swaying, he walked into the room where Alice Turner used to live, then flopped face-first onto the bed and couldn’t get back up.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Hearing his phone ring, Thomas instinctively reached for his pocket. When he found his phone, he pulled it out. He was so drunk at this point that he didn’t even hit the answer button before pressing the phone to his ear.

"Hello! Hello... talk!"

He said "hello" for a long time and still didn’t hear anyone speaking on the other end, so he shouted, a bit impatient.

Thomas, drunk out of his mind, had no idea that he hadn’t actually answered the call at all. When he still didn’t hear anyone after shouting, he angrily flung the phone away.

The phone traced an arc through the air and pitifully landed on the floor next to the wardrobe, but its owner was completely oblivious. In a daze, he got ready to go into his dreams and settle accounts with the King of Dreams, wondering why he hadn’t been allowed to dream of Alice lately.

While Thomas was already off to see the King of Dreams, Autumn York, on the other hand, was consumed with anxiety. Forget going to see the King of Dreams—she didn’t even have the slightest urge to sleep right now.

Ever since she’d gotten off the phone with Thomas a few hours earlier, she had been sitting in the living room, waiting for him to come back after drinking his fill so she could ask him what exactly was going on between him and Evelyn Taylor.

But she’d waited for hours and still hadn’t seen any sign of him. She really couldn’t wait any longer. Whether he would get mad or not, she immediately dialed his number.

Who knew the phone would ring for a long time without being answered. It rang until it automatically disconnected, and he still hadn’t picked up.

At first, Autumn thought Thomas was deliberately not answering her calls, so she kept calling him again and again. She dialed his number more than a dozen times in one breath, but the result was the same as the first time: the line connected, but no one picked up.

She was furious, but the moment she remembered he’d been out drinking, her anger was instantly replaced by worry.

After calling more than a dozen times without Thomas picking up, Autumn became too anxious to sit still and stopped trying his number.

She thought for a moment and decided to call the brothers who were drinking with him. When she pulled up the three numbers saved in her contacts, she hesitated for a second.

Autumn didn’t allow herself to hesitate for long. After quickly weighing things in her mind, she decided to call Easton Holmes and ask what was going on.

The phone rang for a long time with no answer. Just when she thought no one would pick up, she heard the sound of the call being connected.

"Easton! It’s me, Aunt Autumn." Before the person on the other end could speak, Autumn blurted out anxiously.

The person on the other end probably hadn’t expected her to speak first and stayed silent for a moment before making a sound. "Auntie! Hello. Easton is drunk and can’t come to the phone. If you need something from him, you can call again tomorrow."
