Chapter 1414: They Already Have Three Children
When the three of them were having their meal, it was fairly peaceful, without any unpleasant incidents. The meal was completed smoothly with their collective efforts.
"We’ll grab a taxi ourselves, you can go about your own business." As they walked out of the restaurant, Alice Turner took the initiative, refusing Thomas Fisher’s offer to drive her and Anthony back to the hotel.
But her proactive move didn’t yield the expected outcome; he denied her almost immediately without any hesitation, "I’m dealing with the same things you’re busy with, and I’m also staying at that hotel, so the three of us should head back together."
This time, Thomas Fisher didn’t attempt to drag Alice Turner into the car directly. Instead, he stayed by her side, planning to follow wherever she decided to go, for the most important thing now was to be with her.
"Alright then, let’s head back."
Seeing that Thomas Fisher didn’t have the awareness to leave, Alice Turner didn’t wish to continue standing there in confusion with him. She pulled Anthony, opened the rear door, and got into his car.
Throughout the process, Anthony had no objections whatsoever, allowing Alice Turner to pull him into the car, consistently maintaining his silence.
Thomas Fisher glanced down at the woman seated in the car, walked around the front, got in, started the engine, and drove away from the breakfast place.
"Alice! When do you plan to go home to see uncle and aunt?" After driving some distance, the man at the front suddenly asked.
Upon hearing Thomas Fisher’s question, Alice Turner slowly withdrew her gaze from the window, following his voice to look at him ahead. She stared at the back of his head for quite a while, and just when he thought she wouldn’t speak, she leisurely opened her mouth: "I’ll find time myself to go back and see them."
Her subtext was that this was her personal matter, and he needn’t bother himself.
"Uncle and aunt have missed you quite a lot these past years, and so has Big Sis; she really missed you during these years, and I miss you too." As Thomas Fisher reached the end of his sentence, his voice suddenly became low, and if listened closely, there was a hint of tremor mixed within.
Alice Turner sat directly behind the driver’s seat, and the abnormality in Thomas Fisher’s words was very clear to her, making her feel very uncomfortable inside.
"I miss them too." And you, the last two words she didn’t say aloud, but instead silently conveyed to him in her heart.
Only miss them, not him?
Thomas Fisher was already feeling quite gloomy, and now hearing Alice Turner say that, his mood turned even more somber. He let out a long sigh, barely easing his gloomy feelings a bit.
"Did Lily have a son or a daughter?" Alice Turner heard Thomas Fisher’s sigh and understood why he sighed. Without waiting for his response, she opened her mouth again to change the subject.
Thomas Fisher also wanted to switch to a lighter topic, to ease his gloomy mood. Alice Turner’s abrupt shift in conversation was right in line with his desire, "Big Bro and Big Sis now have a son and two daughters."
He truthfully informed her about Easton Holmes and Lily Turner’s current children situation. As he spoke these words, a strong sense of envy surged through him.
"They already have three kids?!" Alice Turner was quite surprised. Five years ago, when she left, Lily Turner hadn’t yet given birth, and in just a few years, they had three kids. She had thought they’d have at most two.
Thomas Fisher nodded, "The two daughters are twins, and all three kids are incredibly adorable, especially the twin sisters, who are particularly endearing."
