Noticing Autumn York watching her intently, Athena Linton felt a bit embarrassed. However, it was alright as Autumn didn’t say anything, just pulled her into the restaurant.

Due to the unintentional encounter that just happened, Athena felt somewhat uneasy inside. She didn’t dare to look directly at Autumn while eating, and even more so while speaking.

Outside the restaurant earlier, Autumn had already sensed Athena’s discomfort. To ease Athena’s uneasiness and social awkwardness, Autumn didn’t mention the earlier encounter with Thomas Fisher, and instead, tried to talk about more light-hearted and interesting topics.

Thanks to Autumn’s deliberate actions, the awkward atmosphere was greatly alleviated, and unknowingly, Athena returned to her previous state, chatting and laughing happily with Autumn.

The two of them were enjoying their time together, but Thomas Fisher wasn’t as happy. After the unintentional encounter at the restaurant door with Autumn and Athena, he couldn’t stop thinking about it.

He thought he had made things clear with his mom more than a month ago, but judging by today’s situation, things weren’t as good as he had hoped, and even looked to be getting worse.

His mom had now set her sights on his brother’s sister, and it seemed she was determined to make it happen. He could see that the two were getting along exceptionally well.

They must have contacted each other many times behind his back. If it were just today’s chance meeting, would they be holding hands like that? He would never believe that their meeting was accidental.

Thomas decided to secretly have someone follow Autumn and Athena. The surveillance results confirmed his earlier suspicions. Once he got this definite information, he began to take preventative measures against both of them.

Because they weren’t together at the company, the chances of meetings between Thomas and Athena were almost zero. Now he was only troubled at home, so to avoid seeing Athena, he moved out of the house to his private apartment.

This deeply upset Autumn, as she had a big argument with Thomas over this. She had wanted to keep him at home, but things didn’t go as she hoped, and he resolutely moved to his private apartment.

Learning that Thomas had moved out of the house, Athena felt extremely sad, but given her current position, she couldn’t say anything. She could only place her hopes on Autumn for the time being.

Without Athena saying anything, Autumn could tell from her reaction how much Athena wanted to get close to Thomas and see him.

She also hoped that this young girl could get close to her son, could see her son often, and more importantly, hoped they could spark a romantic connection.

So that she could secure a satisfactory daughter-in-law, Autumn decided to keep striving, even more than before. She was determined to keep this daughter-in-law, whom she was very satisfied with and personally thought was a perfect match for her son.

The thoughts in Autumn’s mind were already anticipated by Thomas and Cedric. Thomas didn’t want any direct conflict with her; he would avoid it as much as possible, handling situations as they came.

Cedric also couldn’t turn a blind eye to this matter. He discussed it heatedly with Autumn every day, but the results were not ideal. He would say his piece, but she would go on doing what she planned to do.
