Athena Linton ran upstairs in one breath, and once upstairs, she didn’t hear any sounds behind her. She patted her violently heaving chest and stopped to rest, but she didn’t dare linger long and hurriedly dashed into her room.
Back in her room, she immediately locked the door from the inside, pressed her ear against the door, and listened for a long time. Only when she didn’t hear any footsteps did she feel relieved enough to walk further into the room.

Thomas Fisher and Alice Turner were in love, and Benjamin Shaw fell for Alice after his divorce. Because of the opposition from her family, Alice disappeared over four years ago without leaving a word.
Athena not only knew this but also knew that Thomas Fisher hadn’t dated anyone in years because he was waiting for Alice Turner to return. What Athena needed to do now was to make Thomas fall for her before Alice came back.
However, while dreams are beautiful, reality can be harsh and sometimes quite frustrating.
While Athena was working hard for her happy future, Thomas Fisher suddenly transferred her to the company’s customer service department. She had heard nothing beforehand, nor did she notice even the slightest clue.

Thomas chuckled and shook his head, and his next words deflated Athena in an instant, "Do well in the customer service department. I’ve already told the manager there to look after you."
