Rebuild World

120 Trouble

Shikarabe, who listened to Akira and the others back and grasped the situation, exhales lightly with a slightly discouraged look. The request will have been accomplished once the designated location has been searched. But it's a tiny amount compared to taking the rescuer home.

As for Shikarabe, he became the feather to take the foot wrap (Ma and Ma) due to tissue smoldering, and on top of that, he ended up with the result that Fang (Kanba) was not as good as the first request. Speak after exhaling with breath the sense of restraint that gushed inside.

"Is it empty from the first request? Sorry about earlier. So, what do we do next?

Elena answers.

"Ammunition, etc. is less expensive, and we're going to go to the next requested location. If there was an unexpected drain on Sycarabe and the others while we were gone, we need to go back."

Shikarabe glances at Togami. I'll tell you the mess soon anyway. That's what I thought, but contrary to that expectation, Togami was seriously on perimeter alert.

Until Elena and the others came back, I was always surprised (a lot) by how different Togami was, but everything ended up fine. Answer how Sikarabe is getting a little crazy.

"No problem. This one just stood there and finished."

Elena sees the look on Sikarabe's face and decides that there was nothing, but no obstacle to the continuation of the request.

"Yes, then we should head to our next destination immediately."

"... hmm? Just give me a minute. The hunter's office sent me a notification. Confirm"

A notification had been received from the Hunter's Office to the information terminal in Sikarabe. When Chikarabe notices it, she retrieves the information terminal and tries to confirm the notification details.

Almost simultaneously, Togami receives notifications from the Hunter's Office. I also get notifications to Elena and Sarah a little late. Tell Akira as Sarah retrieves the information terminal and tries to verify the contents of the notification.

"Looks like we got a notification from the office, too. Akira, we want to see what's going on, so just wait a minute."

"Okay."

The notified persons confirm the contents on their respective information terminals. The look changes slightly.

Elena and Sarah have the look of getting into trouble. Togami has the expression of readiness and determination to come to an exhilarating opportunity that has sprung up somewhere down there. And Sikarabe had a very grumpy look, including a rush.

Elena and Sarah start talking to each other somehow. Shikarabe connects a call to someone on an information device and starts negotiating with someone in a grumpy tone. Togami is silently waiting for Sikarabe's negotiations to conclude.

A call request arrives to Elena. When Elena stopped talking to Sarah and got a call request with a harsh look on her face, she started talking to that person in a grumpy manner.

Ask Alpha as Akira slightly irritates her expression.

"Alpha. You know what's going on?

'I don't know. For the time being, it doesn't look like it's a good idea.'

'That's right......'

When Akira was watching, Elena began to be unusually irritated.

"... more on that later.... Yes.... you know where we are now!? Whenever things change and you get attacked by a bunch of monsters, it's not weird!? Wait for travel time! Are you going to kill us?

Elena hangs up the call and gives instructions to Sikarabe.

"Sikarabe. I'll be back once."

When Shikarabe shifts her gaze to Elena as she talks, she nods gently and tells her willingness to understand. And as he talked to someone over the information terminal, he gave instructions to Togami to get in the car with his hand and went back to the car as he continued the conversation.

Elena with an expression that didn't hide her displeasure noticed Akira looking at herself with a slightly surprised look on her face. Elena tells Akira a little sorry after breathing gently to calm her mind.

"Akira. I'm sorry. Could the explanation be better later? I'm going back to the hunter's office outpost now. Later."

"I don't mind. Should I hurry back?

"It's okay. Don't rush back to normal.... I don't even have the right to do that."

Elena finally goes back to her car with a whispering (crushing) voice to add that. It followed after Elena as Sarah laughed bitterly.

Akira somehow sees Carol. Carol's expression keeps her spare time and calm. Unlike Akira, who hasn't caught up with the situation, maybe she's somehow figuring things out.

Akira asks Carol.

"Does Carol know anything about the content of the notifications that came to Sikarabe and Elena?

"I don't know. But it's not like I have no idea. Yesterday, I gathered information about the ruins of Mihazono Street, and I also have some information."

"What's it about?

"It's quicker to ask the party later than to infer poorly. Better than that. Look, it's time to hurry up and they'll leave you, okay?

"Oops."

Carol rushed her back to the car. Carol followed shortly afterwards.

Carol sees how Akira is and comes up with an idea.

(Normally, if hunters acquire as much strength as Akira, they acquire some ability to gather information about hunter operations in the process. But Akira is barely amateur.... can you put it in from that side?

Carol had noticed from Akira's appearance yesterday and today that Akira firmly recognized Elena and Sarah as attractive heterosexuals.

Eating more than colour. Akira said that to Carol, but Akira isn't as if she's not interested in color either. Just making sure of that is good enough for Carol.

Based on that, Carol was comparing Elena and Sarah, the women Akira firmly recognizes as heterosexual, to herself, who both look attractive enough but don't think they have a place to lose. Ning spends a lot of money polishing up his own flesh, so he thinks he's winning, at least in terms of ratings from the opposite sex.

Of course, such an assessment involves a great deal of personal taste. But I don't think there's a clear and absolute difference between me and Elena enough to create that much difference in attitude. Except for a peculiar preference (lump) that is extremely narrow in width for Akira, but at least Carol didn't think Akira had such a thing because of her own experience.

There are probably some conditions for Akira to strongly recognize women as heterosexual. That's what Carol was judging. Without something like that, it would be unnatural for Akira to be unresponsive to herself that far. It was also an expression of Carol's own beauty and confidence in her body that made Carol make that decision.

But Carol doesn't know what that is. Then we need to prepare another means of exploring it. Akira's ability to fight as a hunter is impeccable. On the other hand, my knowledge as a hunter is pretty poor. Carol will be able to get in closer contact with Akira by providing her with knowledge around it. Deeper acquaintance should also make it easier to explore the conditions under which Akira is aware of the opposite sex. That's what Carol thought.

(I don't need to rush. Let's do it slowly)

Next to Akira, who was driving the car, Carol laughed niggardly as she conceived her future outlook.

Akira and the others returned with nothing near the hunter's office outpost at the ruins of Mihazono Street. There was never a single engagement with a monster. There was a reaction from the mechanical monsters, but it all made Akira and the others bare. They may call for reinforcements and attack you on your way home. Akira, who was wary of thinking so, was a little clapped out.

As Akira and the others got out of the car, apparently Hunter's office staff and Drancam personnel were immediately noticed by Akira and the others. Elena breathes out a little grumpy when she notices it.

What Elena is going to do is negotiate with them. Besides, given what they've been waiting for here, there doesn't even seem to be time for Elena to explain the situation to the Akira and the others.

Elena looks at Carol and reminds me of her bargaining ability. Ask Akira a few thoughts.

"Akira. Can I borrow a little Carol? After this, I have a little, no, troublesome negotiation."

"I don't mind..."

That's what Akira said to keep an eye on Carol. I would have hired you as a guide, but I would have let you participate in the fight and even in the troublesome negotiations. Akira feels somewhat out of the scope of her original job. No wonder you don't like it.

But Carol answers softly.

"Fine."

Akira asks quite unexpectedly.

"Is that good?

"Yeah. You're hired by Akira. Feel free to say it to that extent."

Akira bows her head gently to thank her.

"Right....... thanks"

"It's fine. Never mind."

Carol was smiling (cheeks) with a bare gesture like nothing, feeling Akira's subtle differences in attitude.

Elena gives Akira and Sarah instructions.

"Well, we're going to do something else. Sarah, give Akira a description of the situation."

"Okay. That way, please."

Elena, Carol and Sikarabe head inside the hunter's office outpost. Shikarabe gives instructions to Togami as he leaves.

"Togami! You carry my car to a simple base in Drunkham! After that, take the instructions over there!

Togami answers in a panic.

"Wait a minute! What's going on with my treatment?!?

"You know what!

Sikarabe broke off the conversation in a grumpy, rough voice. Togami distorted his expression disgustingly, but reluctantly entered the car and moved the car as instructed by Shikarabe.

Akira and Sarah also move the car to an undisturbed location. Sarah comes next to Akira as Akira gets out of the car and stretches.

Akira asks Sarah.

"So, what happened? Elena and Sikarabe were in a pretty bad mood."

Sarah speaks a little spicy.

"There's a lot going on. Even so, I don't know what's going on with Shikarabe either. However, the content that caused it will be the same as ours."

"It's a notification from the hunter's office, isn't it?

"Yes. The content itself comes from the hunter's office. Every little trouble, to that extent, well, there's a lot going on. Oh, it's the content of that notice..."

"If it's hard to talk about, I won't force you to ask."

"Oh, I'm fine. The content of the notification itself is not a big deal. Elena asked me to explain, and Ning asked me to listen carefully."

"Okay."

"So, the point is, this investigation into the anomaly in Mihazono Street is a request for cooperation."

Sarah began explaining to Akira the contents of the notification from the Hunter's Office. The look on Akira's face as she listens gets harsher.

"... dispatch of troops to Selantarville, is it"

"Yes. There are many names. I don't know the details, though. It seems that the information is complex (assuming) to investigate the cause of this anomaly in the ruins of Mihazono Street, the rescue of personnel left behind in the building, the opportunity to control the entire building on this occasion, and whether it is definitive or someone's guess, but the dispatch of troops itself is determined. Sounds like a pretty massive force."

Akira gives me a harsh look, remembering the battle inside the Serantalville.

"Um, is it hard to say no?

"Well, it's not compulsory, but it's hard."

The city of Kugamayama had made demands on the hunters who had successfully crusaded the bounty neck to improve the quality of their contingents and to convince the residents within the fence, their customers.

Monster raid from the ruins of Kuzsuhara Street not long ago. And this anomaly in the ruins of Mihazono Street. Seems like a lot of residents have been anxious. But we can't send a city defense force to fix things. It is difficult to maintain the defense of the city in case of a situation, or to avoid fuelling customer anxiety.

The bounty neck crusade was also somewhat talked about by humans inside the fence. I guess the story of sending a good hunter who destroyed a monster so powerful that the prize money would help ease customer anxiety. It is also expected to improve the quality of troops. One stone and two birds on the city side.

For this reason, although the request to join the troops was not compulsory, it was semi-compulsory, and poorly turned down had a troublesome developmental nature. I guess it's hard for the city side to say things are getting worse than saying no to even the hunters who crusaded their bounty necks to their customers. He was encouraging the hunters who made the request to join him in fairly strong language.

If the reputation of being eyed by a city is widespread, various companies with economic activities in that city will have to deal with it on the basis of that reputation. In the worst case scenario, the sale of artifacts and even the replenishment of ammunition will become unbearable and we will have to consider moving to another city.

Hunters who tolerate those disadvantages and are prepared to say no are rare (rare). Most of them are offered the appropriate compensation to take on the request. If the city side is so likely to be turned down, they won't make a request in the first place. Competent hunters leave the city because it hurts on the city side too.

Sarah explained many of those circumstances, including the background that Akira seemed to know.

"Well, that's why Elena's negotiating a rather troublesome request."

Akira is somewhat convinced to listen to Sarah's explanation, but asks Sarah some questions.

"Was it?... but was the reward offered so harsh that Elena was in such a bad mood?

Sarah answers with a little mouthcage.

"... that's it. No, the reward was just the right amount. Elena would negotiate a lot of things and make them more favorable, so I don't think Elena has any grievances in that regard.... it's just that, that. You see, it took the form of a side-by-side interruption to a request we were receiving, and it was a request of a very difficult nature to refuse, and that negotiation started in a dangerous ruin that we didn't know when the monster would attack us, right? I think Elena lacked a little peace with all that stuff."

"If you say so, you sure do"

Elena is human, too. Sometimes you'll feel bad. If you get interrupted from side to side by another request while you're on another request, then your plans may go crazy and you may not be ready. It may also be because of Elena's sense of responsibility as the leader of the force that she roughed up her voice a little surprisingly. Akira thought so and was convinced by it.

By showing Akira how convinced she is, Sarah changes the subject to something else before she is relieved but steamed back.

"Speaking of which, Akira didn't get a notification. Didn't you join Sikarabe in the bounty neck crusade?

Now Akira answers with a little mouthcage.

"Oh, uh, you know, there's something like confidentiality,"

"Then I won't be forced to ask. I was just wondering. I just wanted to know what Akira would have been like if she'd been active."

"I'm not making a big deal of it. It was subtle to see if the reward was right."

To that extent, it won't be a problem. Akira thought so and answered that.

Sarah had a silent look on her face that made her think of something just a little bit, but after giving her a look that made her realize something, she tells Akira with a gentle laugh.

"Oh, you were hired by Sikarabe not to go through the hunter's office as an adjunct to the bounty neck crusade to raise the bottom of the firepower. So you accompanied Shikarabe to a successful prize neck crusade."

Akira blew it out. Because Sarah told me all about herself. When I saw Sarah with a look of surprise, Sarah was laughing with pleasure. Ask Sarah in surprise.

"... that's all, what do you know?

Sarah answers Akira's question with pleasure.

"The subtle remuneration means that at least the remuneration was paid. That means Akira got the request. The only request Sikarabe would ask Akira to make at that time was one related to the Bounty Neck Crusade. The fact that Akira has not received this request from the Hunter Office means that the request at that time is between the Hunters and not via the Hunter Office. If Shikarabe had hired Akira on purpose, she would have expected it to be the least amount of fighting power. So I didn't hire Akira as a simple transport officer, etc. It's not a big deal, which means the Shikarabe and the others are the main players in the bounty neck crusade. Akira had assisted Shikarabe and the others by playing" Decoy "and attacking with disposable weapons that were also commonly used by the Prime Minister. The fact that the reward was subtle should not have been an extremely low amount, at least. Sikarabe shouldn't be paying that much if he doesn't succeed in the prize neck crusade either. That's why Akira succeeded in her bounty neck crusade when she was with him.... You can't tell me if I'm right, can you? Maybe we'll get caught up in confidentiality."

Akira answers with a slight drop.

"... I will no longer shut up"

"Akira's car, it looks like a different type of car from the one I bought from Sizka, but could it be younger and that's the reward from Sikarabe? I'm not familiar with the car market either, but it's a pretty expensive one, isn't it? It seems like Akira had a hard time getting paid for it."

"I will remain silent."

Akira's an honest man.

Sarah laughed joyfully and lightly when she saw Akira with a slightly obstinate attitude.

Sarah redirects her mind and changes the subject again.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. By the way, for once, it's me and Elena who can't turn down a request from the city, and Akira has nothing to do with it. You haven't asked Akira to do it in the first place. You must have had a rough time in Selantalville, huh? So if you don't feel comfortable, don't you have to hang out with us? It's very different from what we planned when we asked Akira out."

Answer as soon as Akira returns her expression.

"No, I'm going to let Sarah and the others accompany me after this, if you don't mind."

Indeed, the situation is largely changing from what Sarah and Elena thought was their initial plans. But nothing has changed since Akira's initial plans to think about it. Akira came to the ruins of Mihazono Street from the beginning to help Elena and the others.

Ask Sarah back in case she presses.

"You're welcome as far as I'm concerned, are you sure?

"Yes."

Sarah asks Akira by turning her expression into something serious just a little bit.

"... because that's going to be profitable (already)? Sure it's dangerous, but because that's all you're going to make?

"What? Oh, yes. That's the way it is. Because I want better gear, and I'm still having trouble with my money."

Akira answered that immediately to Sarah, although she had the look of being stunned for a moment.

Sarah opens up for a moment and then laughs and answers.

"... yes. All right. But you can't do that, can you?

"Okay."

Akira answered honestly.

Sarah thinks as she listens to Akira's reply.

(... you're a lousy liar. No, are you bad at misdemonizing?

After all, Akira didn't ride their own invitation for money. Sarah was so sure.

And perhaps Akira is here to help herself. That's nothing more than Sarah's anticipation, desire, but there's no material to deny it either so far.

Akira is trying to accompany herself to a place where she is dying to help herself. On the other hand, Sarah was delighted with it and felt slightly irritable. Sarah did not put negative feelings on the table because she was still happier.

This sentiment feeds on growth. Sarah decided to smile.

Until Elena and the others came back from the negotiations, Akira kept chatting with Sarah and killing her time.

Akira asks Sarah.

"How long do you think it will take for Elena and the others to negotiate?

"Depending on how difficult it is to negotiate, I don't know either. But the city side will also hate spending too much time negotiating and delaying dispatching troops, so I think it'll be over in the morning at the worst. Even if the negotiations break down as a result."

"A crack is basically a request you can't refuse, right?

"Basically. In other words, there are exceptions and limitations. If there's anything you can't compromise on the terms presented, move our hub to another city and we'll say no. To give you an extreme example, you can push a mission like throwing away a pawn with gold at the end. Well, since Elena will negotiate well, that won't happen unless there's so much to it."

I guess Elena's opponents are trained to negotiate like that. If I were you, I would be lightly rounded up, instantly taken the word, and I would have to take a request for cruel (awful) conditions. Akira thinks so, squealing (crushing) with a strange look.

"... it's tough"

"That's why many hunters hire deputies to negotiate troublesome things like that on their behalf. In our case, it's okay because Elena's taking it on. Akira doesn't seem comfortable negotiating like that, and you might want to hire an agent."

"Hmm. Well, I'll think about it"

So far, I'm not the kind of hunter who would incur every troublesome negotiation that would require representation. But any day you might need it. Akira thought so and decided to remember that she had the means to hire an agent for the time being.

In fact, Akira has already become the person responsible for the troubles in her hands. The only reason he doesn't recognize it that way is because he unconsciously tolerates the detriment of including killing each other. Worst case scenario, you can kill each other. The spot where you make that cut is just low in the alley of Slam Street.

Normally, we explore compromises to make things easier. Akira is just giving up the hassle. They always take themselves lightly, including life. The other person concedes for himself and never compromises. The perception is creeping into my head. I guess Akira's excessively sweet about some exceptions also involves perceptions around it.

Akira escaped from the alley in Slam Street, but only Akira's perception still wanders through the alley in Slam Street. Just like back then, when I didn't know how to defend myself except by piling up the bodies of my enemies.

That misalignment of perception carries further trouble to Akira, who has been unlucky enough to clean it up. I deserve it in a way.

Sarah looks in the direction of the hunter's office outpost. Elena and the others continue to negotiate there. I haven't heard from Elena yet. Proof that negotiations are difficult to navigate.

(... I guess I'm pretty rubbing it too)

Sarah, who firmly understood why rubbing (also) meh, exhaled a small hoard (sighed) imagining Elena, who would be continuing troublesome negotiations.
