Chapter 476: Future Business
Others followed outside and were shocked by the devastating scene outside the base.
However, they wondered why the buildings within the walls of the base were still intact?
Even if there was some damage, it was minimal. The only difference was that there was not a single plant left. The place looked like a barren desert.
However, outside the walls of the base was another story. It was so ruined that even stones had been knawed on.
If the locusts can even eat stones, what were they supposed to do?
This was the question in everyone’s mind.
But as Lu Zhen walked forward and saw how buildings that were still half-ruined by the meterorites before were now completely gone, he realized that their base had an opportunity to develop significantly ahead of others.
He was aware that even though the buildings in the base were still intact, it wasn’t just their place that survived.
He didn’t believe that the stone they used to build the foundation of the underground city was a lone piece.
It should have fallen together with the meterorites. In that case, there must be others.
Their most urgent task now was to locate those stones and use them to expand their base and if possible, build a whole indestructible city.
This way, they could become the owners of the city.
Those who wished to live within, even if it was other bases, they muct either purchase property from them or buy the stones to build their own.
Either way, Lu Zhen would have won.
He shared his thoughts with Leng Pan who looked at him, admiration shining in her eyes, which sparkled like stars in a dark sky.
Leng Pan had always known that her husband was a business genius, but she hadn’t expected him to just glean a business idea from looking at the ruins of the city.
However, this was great. Not only for their family, but for humanity as well.
"I believe that the special meteorite and these hard stones aren’t the only thing the apocalypse brought. There must be more. We just need to take our time searching and we will find something more useful." Leng Pan said, looking into the distance where the only thing visible was ruins upon more ruins.
She thought that since the apocalypse brought aliens, there was definitely a way to get them out of earth.
Since they were not native residents of earth, there was no reason they could adapt to the apocalypse faster and better than humans who had existed on Blue star for billions of years.
Thus, there must be a way to get the aliens out. Even if they couldn’t eliminate them to n one go, there must be a way to weaken them so that they don’t pose a threat to humanity.
If the aliens became weaker than humans, then they would cease to be a threat, because by then, any human, even a child could eliminate them.
As Leng Pan thought of this, she couldn’t help getting excited. After all, in the last apocalypse, aliens and other monsters just kept getting stronger while human evolution remained slow.
The only reason they increased their powers faster in this life was because of their past experience which they gained after recovering their memories.
Another reason was because of the special meteorite. That thing had the capacity to boast anyone’s power very fast.
"Do you think we should find a way to have everyone in the base use that special meteorite?" Leng Pan asked.
She was eager to enhance the strength of her own people.
If humans became stronger, then even if the aliens couldn’t be weakened, fighting them would not be so perilous.
"It’s a good idea, but we still need to be discreet about it. I don’t think people like Commander Qui will give up easily. Even though it has been over a year since he sent people out to search, he is well aware of its potential. So he won’t give up that easily." Lu Zhen had no objection to what his wife suggested, but caution still needed to be exercised.
"I understand what you mean. We can’t be careful of course. Maybe we can have one of your trusted people to help us dig a place to hide it in the unground city. That way, it will spread its effects to more people." Leng Pan suggested again.
"There is no need for that. I will excavate a spot in our courtyard myself and bury it there. Even if someone suspects something, with auntie’s vegetables covering the area, anyone who had any suspicions would just think it was auntie’s superpower causing the vegetables to grow more robust." Lu Zhen was already thinking about how to make the most of that meteorite.
Apart from enhancing strength, he was aware that it could increase both the quality and quantity of vegetation.
In that case, they could increase their strength as they cultivate and also with the food they eat.
"You can dig too?" Leng Pan asked in surprise.
Who would have thought that the renowned Lu Zhen, CEO of Lu Group actually could become a labourer?
"Why wouldn’t I be able to dig? It is just something physical. With my strength, I can dig what we need without a problem." Lu Zhen didn’t understand why his wife was so shocked.
This wasn’t before the apocalypse where he needed to uphold his image due to business matters.
Even though he might go back to business once everything settled, he didn’t have to worry.
Their courtyard was surrounded by a fence and he could just have his wife create a barrier while he dug do that no one would know what they were doing.
In fact, they should indeed do that. This way, no one would suspect them if they witnessed the former CEO digging.
Once Leng Pan heard his suggestion, she agreed readily.
While they thought it as nothing if Lu Zhen were to engage in such physical work, others might read too much into it and end up exposing their secret.
