Owen Sawyer may have never been in a relationship, but he recognized the look on Kai’s face.

"For a long time. They’re deeply in love," Owen Sawyer said, deliberately exaggerating.

’Georgia Thorne’s relationship with Elliot Sheridan isn’t exactly great right now. I can’t let this kid poach her from him.’

Even though he should have expected it, hearing it confirmed was still a disappointment. He murmured, "Just how in love are they?"

Owen Sawyer also sank into deep thought. He wasn’t sure how in love they were either. Elliot Sheridan was an incredibly deep person, impossible for the average person to figure out.

Still, he figured that for them to have gotten married, Elliot’s feelings for Georgia must be very deep.

Owen Sawyer, however, was unaware that not long ago, Elliot had tried to force Georgia into a divorce by threatening his own life.

If he had known, his jaw would have hit the floor. It was the kind of thing you had to see to believe.

Meanwhile, Elliot Sheridan was driving with no destination in mind. He just didn’t want to see Georgia Thorne with that man, Kai.

He had waited miserably at the office all morning. When noon finally came, he went to get her himself, only to be told that she had just stepped out—with another man.

The staff at the company were always diligent. Although Elliot Sheridan was their big boss, he rarely set foot in the employee offices outside of routine inspections.

So when he did appear, the other people in the office were incredibly flustered. Elliot’s expression was grim, and they were at a complete loss, assuming they had made some terrible mistake.

Elliot stalked out of the office with a dark expression, then stopped one of the young women who worked with Georgia to ask where they had gone.

Wendy Young usually idolized Elliot, gushing about him with great enthusiasm, but now that he was standing right in front of her, she was reduced to a stuttering mess.

She hemmed and hawed, struggling to finally get the words out clearly.

Once he had the address, Elliot told Owen Sawyer to drive slowly, allowing him to clearly see every person on the side of the road.

He finally found Georgia Thorne. She was standing on the side of the road talking to Kai. He didn’t know what Kai said, but Georgia suddenly laughed, looking very happy.

Anger flared within him. If Owen Sawyer hadn’t been there to talk him down, he would have gotten out of the car on the spot.

Elliot’s temper had been growing increasingly volatile lately, and he was finding it impossible to control himself, especially when it came to matters concerning Georgia Thorne.

Suppressing his anger and noticing they had bought quite a few things, Elliot had Owen Sawyer honk the horn.

Call it a coincidence or call it intentional—it didn’t matter. Elliot simply couldn’t stand seeing Georgia Thorne with another man.

Elliot drove aimlessly, meandering slowly down the road. He finally drew the ire of other drivers, and a chorus of jarring honks blared from behind, yet a certain someone remained completely oblivious.

Georgia finally couldn’t take it anymore and turned to him. "Where exactly are we going?"

"Wherever you want to go. I’m at your command!"

"..." ’He’s really taking this chauffeur role seriously.’

Georgia thought for a moment, then gave him the address of a supermarket.

Upon hearing "supermarket," Elliot’s eyes lit up.

He’d lived for over thirty years, but this was the first time he’d ever started daydreaming like this. ’Does this mean Georgia is agreeing to reconcile? Is she going to let me put my things in her little apartment?’

Full of enthusiasm, Elliot pushed a shopping cart while pulling Georgia by the arm, and began buying lots of things.

In no time, the shopping cart was already piled high with things he’d picked out.

Georgia watched him with a strange look. He was buying so many things, most of them men’s products. She couldn’t help but wonder, ’Doesn’t the housekeeper at home prepare these things for him?’

’In the past, he never would have bought these things himself.’

Little did she know, Elliot was enthusiastically buying all this with the intention of filling up her entire apartment.

He was going to make sure that her little apartment had traces of him everywhere.

Georgia didn’t try to stop him. While he was busy picking out a razor, she slipped out of his grasp and darted over to the nearby toy aisle.

She had promised Leah a toy last time but hadn’t had the chance to buy it. She figured she might as well get it now and give it to him.

After Elliot finished selecting his things, he turned around and couldn’t see Georgia. He felt a surge of anger. ’Where has that woman run off to now?’

’Don’t tell me she deliberately brought me to the supermarket just to ditch me!’

The thought sent a sharp, unbidden pang through his chest. He pulled out his phone as he walked.

Before the call could even connect, he spotted Georgia standing in front of the toy aisle, staring blankly.

Georgia didn’t really understand boys’ toys. Leah had said something about Optimus Prime, but there were several different versions here. "Which one should I get?" she muttered to herself.

A well-defined, masculine hand reached out and grabbed the most expensive one. "This one!"

It was none other than Elliot Sheridan.

"Do you know anything about these?" Georgia asked. Elliot countered with his own question, "Who are you buying it for?"
