Senpensekai no Madoushoshi

Verse 5: Inside the Fairy

Inside the cave, it was relatively warm. Even if it's warm, it's better than outside. If you stay still, your hands and feet will get caught. I put my hand on my mouth and walk after Toslin breathing out.

"Watch your step, Iris. I think it hurts a lot when you slip and fall."

Carol, who leads the way, moves on with a pine light in her hand. Inside the cave, the rocks are bitter, and by the way, the water is stained. Momon, the foot has a water reservoir over the bumps, and it is not easy to slip because of the cockerel growing.

"Ugh, yeah... I'll be careful... wow"

I'm telling you, I'm slipping my leg off the edge, and I'm about to fall back. But Mr. Rosé supported my body and I didn't have to buttocks on it.

"Oh, thank you...... Mr. Rose"

"No. You're not hurt, that's all."

Rosé looks up and smiles even at times like this. I'm sure it's not the same number of places I'm treading. Of course.

"Oh, hey, are you okay, Iris?"

"Yeah. Sorry. 'Cause it's okay."

The interior of the cave is by far the main road, wide enough for people to walk side-by-side with three people. But the footprint is followed by even the blood stains disappearing because of the water reservoir that was made to the ground.

"Oh, but that's it. Isn't it painful just to get wet when you fall because Iris is heavily equipped"

"You've decided it hurts, already..."

Carol makes fun of me for it every time my pants come out of the yarn. But it's okay. If it's warm, that's fine.

"Nevertheless, it may hurt to be unable to follow footsteps"

"That's right, the smell's already gone... well, I hope it looks like the main road so far"

The moment Carol said that, I put my foot together.

"Is that...?

"What's wrong?

Seeing that I stopped, Mr. Rosé came next to me and snapped his neck.

"Now what?

Even Toslin asks me that, but I don't know what "ah" I am, myself, who spoke out. There was just something... something like stopping my leg felt like something ran away through my head... I felt it.

"Er... Uh-oh. I'm sorry. Nothing. Anything..."

"I know you're scared, but it's okay. Because such a hema is so many times. Don't worry, we'll protect you."

I guess Toslin is referring to the goblins in Swansy Forest. But that's not what it is right now. It's true that I'm scared, but this... I'm not anxious, I just had some heartbreak.

"Ugh, yeah. Thanks......"

But I can start talking about it. I just need to be honest and relieved because Toslin wants me to be relieved.

"Come on, let's come. Mr. Quinn awaits our arrival in the back."

Mr. Rosé's hand can be put on my shoulder.

"Yes, sir"

That's how we headed Carol further into the back of the cave.

Then would you have walked five minutes? Suddenly we went out of the aisle into a hall-like space. A light that is stronger than the pine light Carol has in her hands is pouring out of her head far. As painful as my eyes were accustomed to the darkness, there was so much brightness.

"Wow... wow..."

I leak my voice unexpectedly and look up. There was a bright blue sky there, with the sun peeking into his face. It is as if we are now in a round, pocky open chimney. Unlike the chimney, this would be unspoilt by a black tin, covered in depressed twigs and tall trees.

"You have this place..."

If you look, Toslin, Mr. Rose, and even Carol were fascinated by this fantastic sight with their mouths open. Will this green chimney have a diameter of 20 meters? The height is likely to be 50 meters. Every leaf that grows there is wet in the dew, playing the sunlight, shining. When this beats any gemstone glow, I take it personally that I usually live far from gemstones. Until now, the grossly rock-skinned feet are also covered here by carpets of shark moss.

"Looks like there's something in the back."

When Carol says that, we return to me all at once. If you ask me, there's another pocky cavity on the opposite side of the direction we came in. They can't get the light that far, and they can't look ahead from here.

"Right. Do you want to go? But be careful. There may be bandits here."

In Toslin's words, I squeeze my mind. Ahead of Carol, Toslin and Mr. Rose continue with weapons in their hands. I'm surprised, I follow you a little further away from the two. Thanks to the moss, our footsteps don't sound.

"That... what, that's it?

Carol hoisted her pine lights as she shrugged so much as she stepped into the dark. From the gap between Mr. Rose and Toslin's back, a frightening peek at what's going on inside. Then really, that was it. Beyond that, there was no passage I had hoped for, and there was no appearance of the bandits I had expected.

It's a tiny, circular space, and if you reach for it, it's going to reach the ceiling. Debris is scattered in the center, and if you look closely, you can see that it was some kind of statue.

"Oh my God."

Mr. Rosé suddenly covers his mouth with his hands and moans.

"You're a stone statue of Illua. Why are we here?"

Carol approaches the rubble. The remains of the statue in the light of the pine lights did leave a trait that caught on my memory as well. Long, loose hair with a worrying face. Put your robes together and pray wholeheartedly. The town where I was born and raised had statues similar to this, worshipped in churches, squares, etc.

"Oh, it looks like there's something still out there. Oh, this..."

Carol retreats ragged and statue fragments. Coming from a pile of rubble is a dust-covered box.

"Whoa, that's a chest!

Toslin makes his expression shine and runs to Carol. boxes about our knee length were carefully carried out by the two of us.

"Wow, that looks so old..."

The frame of the box made of wood is armored with rusty iron. By the way, the tree was decaying, and even the shock I gently put on the floor collapsed.

"Well, I'll open it, okay?

Carol strokes the box. The dust rises and I cough one up with Gohon.

Come on, hurry up.

Even if Toslin hurries, Carol is carefully checking the box. Slightly tapping it confirms the sound and tries to find the contents from the gap that it was made of.

"That..."

But that's between seconds, too. Leaning his little neck immediately, he opens the lid in large measure.

"Hey..."

Until then, Toslin, thrilled to see how it was going, takes a step back. I was pulling myself back by accident, too. Because in the hundreds of adventure novels I've read, a treasure chest was portrayed as an extreme danger when it was inadvertently opened and eaten by the monsters lurking in it, or suddenly exploded. Let's just say that's not everything, as far as Toslin's reaction is concerned, in reality the crate seemed good with that kind of perception.

"Nothing. I'm sorry."

Carol slaps the box with regret. Only to name herself a bandit, Carol learned in that little time whether there was a trap or not. Wonder how the hell I can figure that out, but they're not something I can explain in words.

"Well, if you look at this, I probably imagined. But I still regret it. They're getting ahead of us."

Toslin picked up the head of the crushed Illure statue and sighed.

"That's right, what the hell was in there? I'm curious."

I'm sure you've been resting treasures under this statue for years. What was inside must have been very rare because it was protected by such a splendid statue.

"... Huh?

Thinking about that, fu I feel my gaze and look up. There was Toslin standing, staring at me.

"What's wrong, Iris? Speak up weird."

Toslin tilts his neck. Long hair shakes in a slightly flowing breeze. But no. What's the difference...... I can't explain it well, but it certainly isn't. Toslin heard me and looked at this one. But I've felt my gaze before that.

"Wow, I don't know... I don't know..."

A strange feeling, like I felt in a cave aisle. I feel it now from a fragment of the statue in Toslin's hand... I reached out terribly.

"This? What's wrong with this?

Receive statue fragments from Toslin. It's an unbroken statue, but still, it has a mysterious beauty.

"Something... I don't know. This... something..."

I don't know what I mean, and I say so.

"Something... I don't know, I just... felt it. This feeling... what the hell..."

I get anxious and look back to Mr. Rosé. Seeing Rosé's face, which has always been Nico, I thought I could escape this uncertain feeling. But there was no smile on Mr. Rosé's face.

"It's delightful...... Who the hell... is this kind of punishment..."

Mr. Rosé looks sad. I guess it usually falls into the depths of a smile, even the emotions of anger come through with a shine. Mr. Rosé touched a fragment of a statue of a goddess held in my hand. Then…….

"Wow."

Suddenly there was a golden light coming from the fragments, and the interior was filled at once with midday brightness. I dazzle and unwittingly put my hand in front of my face. But the light entering from between my fingers was intense, and it also burned my eyes through the eye lid.
