Skeleton Knight, in Another World

First city, Rubierte 1.

"I am late for my application, I, Lauren Laraia do Rubierte of the Rubierte family, am serving you as a lady's maiden, my name is Rita Faren"

Rita meets gently as she turns a little back to herself, who is letting her walk with a horse on her side, while she is your man. Brown's eyes stare at this one. Looks like she's waiting to introduce herself.

"Hmm, I'm a stray traveler. My name is Ark."

So great to introduce myself and give it back. The name of course remains the name of the game character. When you're in full body armor, it feels like something sticks together as usual the other way around when you were playing someone else in an act.

Nevertheless, apparently the chestnut-haired girl in the carriage is noble. I feel like a sudden plan collapse even though I've set up a policy of secrecy and discretion. If we don't do the track fix early, we could get into even more trouble.

"Dear Ark, is this the destination of your journey, Rhoden?

Rhoden? Is it the Rhoden region? Or the Land of Rhoden, a name I've never heard of either.

That was a name I didn't even hear in the game I was playing.

"No, I'm just a traveler wandering around. Destination location……. You've come a long way, I suppose."

I will do the right thing and look to the horizon at the tip of the hill where the sun will stain, and try to create a soothing atmosphere there.

"Really? The city of Rubierte now on its way is the one ruled by Lady Lauren's father, Lady Bacol. I hope Bacol will be pleased with this bandit crusade, and I hope the mansion will be able to take you to your feet."

My sad forty father's act is magnificently flushed and he shows his hospitality with a gentle smile.

But I can't take this invitation, never. Nothing but trouble, such as visiting a great lord and nobleman.

In the first place, you can't take off your armor helmet. You can't say hello with your armor helmet to meet the great man. It's like meeting a governor in a full-face helmet in modern times. Even though it's a world where you can't even meet a convenience store clerk these days when you're wearing a full face helmet.

For now, this event is only avoided at all costs.

"I appreciate the sentiment, but I don't want to thank you. Let's make you feel at home."

"No thanks whatsoever for helping the lady or me... I will be scolded by Master Bacol..."

That's what she says and eats down. Trouble. I'm not going to be convinced if I don't get any thanks. Do you want me to show you what you can get or what you want so you can put it away somehow? Something is good...

"Well, if I'm a traveler, I'd appreciate anything to help me get through."

"Of passage......, ah, then please bring this. It's my copper pass, because only nobles can hold silver stuff. If you show me that, you won't be treated like that when it comes to the transit of territory around here."

When I give you a bronze plate a little smaller than my business card from my pocket, I stretch my eyes out of your seat and offer it to myself on the horse.

Upon receiving it, a family crest and some unseen letters are engraved in the middle of the copper plate.

"Thank you."

Be thankful and punish it with the other luggage in the hemp bag that is loaded behind the horse. That's how I get a voice from her.

"Dear Arch, I see the city of Rubierte"

Looking ahead of his sight at that voice, in the direction of progress, the exterior of the city appeared a little down from where he was now.

Whether you are pulling water from a river that flows beside the city, there is water flowing in the moat dug along the city's outer perimeter. Is the moat about three meters wide?

The outer perimeter of the city across the moat stretches with a single wheat field, and when the wind blows, there is a small wave of wheat on one side. And a simple moat was drawn around the wheat field, and it was surrounded to protect it.

The city walls seem to be well built for the pile of stone, about five meters tall. As a castle wall, I may not rely on it, but if I think of it as a city wall, it may be quite well built.

Even as the size of the city, wouldn't you be entering a big city there in these times?

The city gate visible at the end of the street is about five metres wide, and on both sides stands a structure with a tower like a watchtower integrated with the city wall. Several guard soldiers stand on the tower and look around. In front of the gate was a stone bridge, not like the bouncing bridge you often see in the city in the game.

Kara-n, Kara-n.

From somewhere in the city that floats in the darkness, a bell rings, and its sounds echoing around reach this way in the wind.

"Dear Ark, it's a closing bell. Let's hurry up a little."

They don't close the gate as soon as the closing bell rings, but they want to proceed with the carriage to near the gate before it closes. It is the carriage of the lord's daughter, so even if the gate closes and she goes, she will open the door, but the opening and closing of the gate for the carriage to pass would seem like heavy labor and consideration for the gate soldiers.

The city gate I see now seems to be the East Gate. There were multiple soldiers standing in front of the gate with spears, and it looked like they noticed this one.

One of the gate soldiers notices Rita's face as a samurai, or he changes his blood and runs over here.

"Lord Rita! What the hell is this?! Although I don't see Master Maudlin attached to the escort!?

Other gatekeepers come straw to that voice, maybe it is the captain because only the first gatekeepers who rush over are wearing helmets.

"We were attacked by thieves about an hour down the street. Thirteen or fewer Maudlin, accompanied by an escort, have fallen to the thief's blade."

"What!?

The captain of the gate soldier alternates himself with Rita, the samurai, with a stunned look. The other gatekeepers got noisy at the same time when they heard the story.

"Dear Mr. Maudlin, the bodies of the following five people are still located on the land earlier, please recover them. I will escort your daughter to the mansion and report this to Master Bacol."

"Ha! I'll be ready to form a unit to retrieve the body. Thank you for your permission, Lord Rita."

The captain salutes her and then rushes to give instructions to the other soldiers.

After she dropped it off, she bowed her head and thanked me again as she stepped out of the eunuchs and turned back to herself.

"Dear Ark, thank you very much again this time. If you need anything, please visit Rita Fallen, the samurai of Lord Rubierte's mansion. I promise to do what I can."

"Well, I'm sorry to be so quick, but is there a good place to sell this horse?

That said, I point to the loot horse from the bandits lined up behind me. I can't take care of six heads just in the way. I want to sell it fast, but I don't know where to sell it.

"If it's horse trading, there's a place called Dand's Horse Shop just down the road from the East Gate to the right. As soon as you say it's my introduction, I'm sure you'll be able to handle it."

"Well, I took care of you"

Entering through the East Gate, she carries the road just as she enters to the left, dropping it off and taking herself down the opposite right path as she was taught.

The place I was taught was a wooden building like a stables. Wooden signs with horse designs engraved along the road. Connecting the horse to a nearby horse stop and entering the stables, there was one man looking after the horse. He's about a hundred and sixty centimeters tall, not very tall, but he puts his jacket up and peeks from it. His arms are huge, and he's in pretty disappointing shape. It stores a chin mustache that reaches his chest on his bald head.

"I'm here with an introduction by Lord Rita of the Rubierte family. I want to sell horses."

Briefly conveying this request to the man, the man looked surprised for a moment, but when he quickly moved his gaze from the tip of this head to the toe of his foot, he came here with a soft grin.

"It is. I am the Lord's Dand here. Do you have a reference, sir?

"No, I didn't get a letter of introduction, but Lord Rita taught me if I wanted to sell horses. He won't be able to afford to write references."

Lord of the stable who throws a gaze at his word asking what it means. I don't know if it's okay to talk about this, but it was introduced to me by someone who works at the Lords' Mansion. I guess I can have a lot of credibility because I would have a relationship from time to time.

"Your son from the Rubierte family was attacked by a thief the other day. He helped crusade my thief, who was close by occasionally. The horse is a trophy from the thief, with six heads. Would you look at that?

"Holy shit! Lady Lauren!? Besides, are you a bandit who drives six horses... I don't remember hearing about you around here... Okay, let's just look at that horse."

Mr. Dand, the master of the stable, goes outside to see the horse connected to the table from the stables, which are the stable, as he treats his beard with me. In order to take a closer look at the horse, I will take the lamp I left at the store and look at each horse, stroking the wool.

"How about 45 socks for this firmest horse, 30 socks for the other horses, and one sock for all the horse equipment together?

As always, if you don't know the price, you don't know the unit, but it should be the road bank for the time being. I nod at the amount offered, under the hopeful observation that I would not be making such an unscrupulous presentation to a man of all-body armor.

"Thank you very much. I'll take the payment, so please wait a moment. Hey, boys! It's time to put the horse inside!

My husband bows his head over here and then shouts his voice toward the back of the store. Then two boys rush out from the back and put a horse connected in front into the stables.

Often waiting on the spot, my husband shows up for money in a cloth bag and places the contents side by side on a nearby table. Ten gold coins of one circle size are piled up and arranged. Apparently, the unit of gold coins was sock. Nineteen and six gold coin towers in total.

"It's a total of 196 socks. Check it out."

Count the numbers and hold each one in the hand in the wind that is even examining multiple pieces of gold coins. It doesn't seem particularly problematic.

Put them in the leather bags you had. I think it weighed quite a bit. It looks like a small gold coin, but it weighs about five hundred yen a piece. Seems like it's not pure gold, but does it still mean that the gold is heavy?

"You took care of me. I'm looking for a place to stay, but don't you know where it is?"

"Is this the inn? Then Mara's place on the main street near the center of the city is easy... but the accommodation for people like my husband is not easy in this city?

"I'm a traveler, so I need a place to lie down."

Give thanks to the master of the stable and walk towards the centre of the city for now. The sun has fallen completely already, and the area is already much darker. Occasionally, I see people crossing paths early enough, but few go out after the sun sets. He just looks a little over here when he rubs it off. It can be pretty scary to have a man with full body armor walking in the dark, and I can't help it.

Find a street about ten meters in the center of the city. They say this city of Rubierte only has gates to the east and west. But this street runs south of the center, and there doesn't seem to be a direct link between east and west.

The street is lined with wooden houses all the way up, several of which are leaking in the light. Would it be a liquor store if you saw the sign depicting the barrel design, from inside you can hear the noise of people?

There was a man fluttering in front of a nearby liquor store, so I'd come closer and call him.

"I'm looking for Mara's Inn. I want to ask where."

"Mm-hmm. The building, so, there it is! Lord Knight!

Then the man makes his eyes often point to the building across the street in a tone that does not turn the Lu Rhythm. After thanking you, when you enter the building across the street, the doorbell tends to ring and a middle-aged man appears from behind the counter at the front. The man rushes over here when he looks at this one and opens his eyes.

"This is, Knight! What can I do for you at this end of the day inn?

"Um, overnight, please"

"Huh?! Why are you staying? To us?!

The innkeeper's husband was stunned and his voice was slightly turned upside down. I wonder where this outfit still makes me look like a knight. Upon showing his affirmation, my husband gave me the keys to the room in a way that surprised me.

The overnight inn cost was one sec, one silver coin. The firewood used for cooking was also said to be 1 sec for a different price. They use this firewood when renting a kitchen for self-cooking the ingredients they brought in front of them, the so-called lumberyard. It seems that the concept of meals with meals has been around since the Edo period in Japan, and since meals in the West seem to be basically priced separately, this would be the case.

Go upstairs up the stairs next to the counter. Once in the assigned room, there was just a thin large piece of cloth hung on a simple wooden cot, and there was just one other smaller wooden window. Place the given lamp on the edge of the wooden window and sit back on the bed for a breath.

I don't have any particular physical problems, but it was a pretty tired day mentally, so I'll leave you alone.

I haven't eaten any rice or anything, but I don't feel particularly hungry, and I don't know a lot about my body. Maybe I can do a lot of work without going to bed, but for today, I'm going to go to bed.

The problem with sleeping will be getting attacked by sleeping. There's no such thing as security in this inn. It's not good to take off armor.

Turn off the lamp lights for now, sit back on the bed and keep your back on the wall. Arm up and close your eyes.

How are you closing it when you don't have eyes? That night was even worse while I went in there alone.
