Chapter 570: Begging Her Not to Give Up So Easily
But no matter how much Julian Keaton shouted, Cecilia Lynch didn’t open the door.
Seeing Julian being pushed out, Evelyn Morgan and Caden Lockwood immediately stepped forward.
Evelyn quickly asked, "What happened?"
"You go in and persuade Cece!" Julian grabbed Evelyn, his expression one of anxious helplessness, "Tell her not to give up on me so easily!"
Caden pried Julian’s hand away, saying coldly, "Calm down!"
"My wife is about to leave me, how can I be calm!" Julian shouted angrily at Caden.
"Then find a way to keep her by your side!" Caden said sharply, "Julian, what you need to do is earn Cecilia’s mother’s forgiveness, and then get your parents to accept her! Otherwise, whether you lose your mind or go crazy, it won’t help!"
Listening to Caden’s words, Julian’s hands clenched into fists, and he stood there like a pillar, feeling completely frozen.
Evelyn looked at Caden, then back at Julian, feeling particularly moved by Julian’s earlier words, "My wife is about to leave me."
Evelyn firmly believed—Julian loved Cecilia.
If there weren’t so many persecutions and helpless moments, Julian could definitely give Cecilia one hundred percent happiness!
"If you want Cece to stay, you need to do things that will make her stay," Evelyn said softly, "Cece’s mother loves her, and of course, she hopes her daughter marries a good man. If you settle things with Cece’s mother, you’ve already won more than half the battle."
Julian looked at Evelyn, hesitated for a moment, then spoke again, "Her mom won’t even give me a chance to talk."
"But opportunities are something you fight for yourself!" Evelyn said urgently, "Expecting to solve it within a minute, isn’t that impossible?"
Caden nodded, standing beside Evelyn, his gaze full of intense affection and indulgence.
His little wife had grown up a lot indeed!
She’s become more sensible and stronger.
Was all this really because she had left home for a few days?
Julian nodded, then looked at the tightly closed hospital room door, saying solemnly, "I absolutely won’t give up!"
Evelyn and Caden exchanged a glance, a comforting smile tugged at both their lips.
Evelyn believed that as long as Julian did not give up, he and Cecilia would surely overcome countless difficulties to be together!
Thinking of this, a complex depth filled Evelyn’s eyes.
She couldn’t help but ask herself: And what about her and Caden?
They had so many issues too, would they eventually be happy together?
Sensing Evelyn’s gaze, Caden wrapped an arm around her slim waist, pulling her into his embrace.
Meeting her uneasy eyes, he said softly, "Let’s go home now. Let Julian stay here, I’ve already contacted the doctor, they’ll come to examine Cecilia’s mother in the next two days."
Hearing this, the smile on Evelyn’s lips deepened.
Her feelings for Caden were more than just gratitude.
Every time something happened, as long as he was by her side, she felt reassured.
After saying goodbye to Julian, Caden took Evelyn home.
In the car, Evelyn was silent.
She kept looking out of the car window, the amber of her eyes reflecting the street scenes, but leaving no trace in her mind, as if she hadn’t seen them, they just passed by fleetingly.
She was thinking about Cecilia, and about herself and Caden.
