Chapter 635: How Does Caden Treat Me?
Ashley didn’t stay in the hospital room for long before she left with Logan Shaw.
Watching the backs of Logan Shaw and Ashley, Evelyn Morgan actually thought, they really suited each other!
"Do you want to rest for a while?" Yvette asked, "If the young master knows you haven’t rested much today, he’ll definitely blame me for letting so many people visit you."
"I’ve already been in the hospital room for so many days, I can get out of bed and walk now!" Evelyn chuckled, "He treats me like I’m a piece of tofu, and I’ll crumble at the slightest touch!"
Listening to Evelyn’s metaphor, Yvette’s forehead was covered with exasperated lines.
"But... Yvette." Evelyn’s eyes darted around, then she asked, "In your opinion, how does Caden treat me?"
"Fine." Yvette replied with just two simple words.
"That’s it?" Evelyn was a bit deflated, "No... other opinions?"
Yvette shook her head, "No."
Evelyn’s lips curled awkwardly.
It seemed Yvette had no experience in relationships at all, asking her was simply a waste.
However, at that moment, Evelyn’s mind was consumed by one thought—Caden Lockwood was willing to give up everything he had to save her.
Evelyn secretly pondered: Am I worth that much?
Thinking of this, her lips couldn’t help but form a joyful smile.
Throughout the whole day, Evelyn seemed particularly happy.
When Caden Lockwood finished his work and returned to the hospital room, he still brought some files and contracts to handle.
Not having been at the company for several days, he had more than just one or two matters to attend to.
Seeing Caden Lockwood had returned, Evelyn immediately asked, "Have you eaten?"
Caden Lockwood was stunned, only then did he realize he had been so busy that he hadn’t even had time for lunch.
Evelyn adopted an "I had guessed it" expression, pointing at the insulated box on the table, "Here, eat! Finish eating before you continue working."
"What about you?" Caden Lockwood asked, "Have you eaten?"
Evelyn nodded.
In the past, it was always Caden Lockwood feeding her with his injured hand, but today she ate on her own, and it seemed Aunt May’s cooking skills had declined!
Caden Lockwood stood still, carefully observing Evelyn.
Today, she seemed a bit different.
Actually, she’s the same, the same as before.
Unlike the past few days lying injured on the hospital bed, she had never truly been happy, even when she smiled, there was an unmistakable hint of gloom in her eyes.
But now, she seemed free of any worries, even the way she looked at him had become clear and pure.
Especially, he was so greedy for the smile on her lips at that moment, he couldn’t bear to do anything to disrupt her current beauty and joy, even blinking lightly, fearing it would ruin everything.
Evelyn tidied her hair and asked, "Why are you staring at me?"
Could it be that she made her hair into some funny shape while lying on the bed earlier?
Or perhaps a grain of rice was left on her face while she was eating?
Caden Lockwood’s heart stirred, he involuntarily set down what he was holding, then he walked over to Evelyn.
Without saying a word, he reached out and embraced her tightly, tightening his arms, holding her closely.
Evelyn was taken aback, just as she raised her hand, she heard Caden Lockwood’s urgent voice, "Just for a moment! Evelyn, let me hold you like this for a moment!"
Evelyn blinked, feeling the sadness emanating from Caden Lockwood at that moment, her heart sank with him.
This man, what exactly is he thinking in his heart?
He hides it so deeply, she truly couldn’t guess!
