Chapter 983: Snow Owl vs Worm King

Declan turned towards Sabina. Elder Sandra was looking towards Sabina as well.
Sabina said, "I found the Tier-9 Worm King living under a 100ft mountain hill. It’s near the border."

A low exclamation occurred. The elders who had gone with her saw the hill as well. They were shocked to the core.
Now they understood why she urged everyone to return fast. They were glad that they listened to her.
If they had fought against the Tier-8 Corrupted Beast, it would have alerted the Tier-9 Beast. Then the Tier-9 Worm King would have gone into hiding again.
They came to the understanding that Lord Declan and Sabina’s target was the Tier-9 Worm King. They were not here to deal with Tier-8 beasts. That was their job.
Declan’s eyes flashed with a cold light.
"Let’s not waste time. It’s better to kill the beast before it escapes somewhere else," Declan commented.
Hearing that, Sabina agreed as well. They had come here to kill the Tier-9 Worm King. They didn’t want to waste time.
Next, Declan and Sabina left the base. Elder Sandra wanted to follow them, but both the Lords rejected her request.
They wanted her to protect the special base. Elder Sandra was unwilling, but she agreed in the end.
The other elders didn’t leave the base either. They wanted the Beast Tamers to remain in the base. They were still coming back from the wilderness.
They decided to rescue them instead.
Time passed
Declan and Sabina were going towards the location. They were flying at a low altitude as well. It didn’t take long for them to reach the boundary of the wilderness.
Both of them then crossed the boundary and entered the unknown land. Not long after entering the place, Sabina brought him to the mountain hill.
The terrain here was not a dense forest, but a semi-forest. There were many open patches of land. Declan raised his head and saw the mountain hill ahead.
He sensed the presence of the Tier-9 Worm King. He communicated with his lifeline beast to attack.
He was ready to act next. Before taking action, he turned towards Sabina. He instructed a few things to her. He wanted her to take action if the Tier-9 Beast tried to escape.

Next, he went towards the mountain hill. When he got closer, he found the Tier-9 Worm King Beast moving.
Sabina followed him from behind.
Declan understood that it was necessary to bring the beast to the surface. Only then could he kill it.
Otherwise, the beast might escape underground.

It was best known as an earth digger. The black mole had strong black fur and powerful front paws for digging.

Sabina told her beast to retreat. The Tier-9 Worm King Beast had the advantage in size.
The Mole Beast made a return, drawing the worm king outside. The worm king was enraged. The beast didn’t have time to think.

Declan brought his lifeline beast outside. A beast over 6 meters appeared next to him. The beast was a white bird-type beast; it was a snowy owl.
It had a round face, forward eyes, and sharp claws. Its broad wings spread over 2 meters. They were releasing icy mists.
The icy mist was powerful, it could freeze Tier-8 beasts upon contact.
Declan felt the Tier-9 Worm King Beast about to appear above the surface. He told Sabina to recall her beast back into her mental zone when it came to the surface.
He then ordered his lifeline beast to be ready to attack. The Tier-9 Worm King might appear at any moment.

The owl made a sound. The next second, it flew towards the base of the hill. It was diving down fast.
Boom!
At the same time, it was generating force through its broad wings. The wind force generated had the power of ice.
Right then, the Tier-9 Earth Mole King Beast appeared above the surface. Sabina saw her lifeline beast coming back to the surface unharmed.
She brought the Tier-9 Earth Mole King Beast back to her mental zone.

So, the Tier-9 Earth Mole King disappeared from the spot.
Following suit, the Tier-9 Worm King Beast appeared above the surface.
It wanted to find the Tier-9 Earth Mole King, but the beast was nowhere to be seen. Instead, it was met with an ice wind attack.
The oval-shaped body of the beast was over 7 meters wide and more than 50 meters in length.

Yet, the ice wind attack landed on the beast’s body. The ice power began to freeze the surface immediately.
The wind force was powerful, and along with the ice power, it was destructive. Like blades, it was cutting down the worm beast on the surface.

The Tier-9 Worm King was shocked. The ice power was so powerful that it almost froze the mucous liquid on its surface.
Not only that, but the wind blades had caused many cuts on its body’s surface. Blood was freezing before it could flow out from the wounds.
Declan saw the situation. He ordered his snowy owl to increase its speed.

The snowy owl once again flapped its wings. This time, it generated even more pure ice power instead of using the wind force. The pure ice power went shooting towards the worm beast.

Upon contact, the ice power spread further across the beast.
