"Declan, do something. It’s using its ability," Sabina shouted all of a sudden.
Hearing that, Declan gave orders to Snow Owl. He wanted the lifeline beast to release another attack.

Snow Owl made a sound. The beast got angry as well. Snow Owl circled in mid-air before diving down fast.
The Tier-9 Worm King had almost broken the hard ice block.

Just before the worm beast could clear the last hurdle, a fierce ice wind attack landed on the worm beast.

After making sure that the Tier-9 Worm Beast King was dead, Declan and Sabina called back their lifeline beasts.
The Mole King and Snow Owl disappeared from the area. They went back inside the mental zone of their contractors.
Declan and Sabina appeared above the body of the Tier-9 Worm King. They saw that most of the body was covered in ice, so the impact was contained.
Otherwise, the death of the Tier-9 Corrupted beast would have alarmed other beasts in the wilderness.
They decided to leave before other Tier-9 Beasts in the unknown land felt something was wrong. They didn’t want another Tier-9 Beast to move toward the special base.
Declan acted. He stored the whole corpse inside his storage ring. Now, only the pool of dark blood was left. If they left the blood now, it could become a source of power for other corrupted beasts.
Blood was especially useful for worm beasts. If a Tier-8 Worm Beast on the verge of a breakthrough consumed it first, that worm beast could become a Tier-9 Worm Beast soon.
The surrounding vegetation was covered in ice. It was the result of the ice attack earlier.
