Declan and Sabina returned to the base. In the blink of an eye, they landed in front of the meeting hall. Both of them walked inside with smiles on their faces.

The elders who were waiting inside were startled by their sudden return. Elder Sandra and the others looked toward them.

Under the gaze of many, they walked past them and sat down on the chairs. They were smiling.

Seeing that, Elder Sandra and the others showed great relief. Before they could ask a question, Declan said, "We killed the Tier-9 Worm King. The Special base is safe now."

Gasp!

Everyone heaved a huge sigh of relief. Elder Sandra closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Elder John, Carter, and others were there as well. They had relieved smiles on their faces. The threat from the Tier-9 Worm King was like a hanging sword above their heads earlier.

This time, the help from the Human Alliance arrived on time, and the Lords were able to slay the Tier-9 Worm King. It was good news to hear.

No one doubted their claim. They were from the Human Alliance. The special base was something run by them as well. There was no need for them to lie.

"After taking a rest, we will be leaving. You can announce the news to the members," Sabina said with a smile.

Hearing that, Elder Sandra said, "Thank you for the help. You guys have averted a big crisis."

Then, the other elders thanked them one after another. Declan and Sabina didn’t shy away from accepting the praise, but they knew the reality as well.

"Don’t be complacent. The Tier-9 Worm King is just one of the many beasts living outside the territory. Tomorrow, some other beast could set its gaze on the special base."

"So, the threat is always going to be there. Our purpose is to use the special base to train and grow the Beast Tamers for the Human Alliance," Declan said in a solemn tone.

"It was not easy for us to kill the Tier-9 Worm Beast. We had to use strategy to catch it off guard. There are more dangerous beasts than the Worm King living in that land."

"So, ask your beast tamers to follow the rules. Normally, those beasts wouldn’t mind us. But there is a history of Beast Tamers looting the cubs of the beasts, which led to attacks on the city from the beast mother later."

"So, before giving missions to the Beast Tamers, go through them more than once," Sabina said in a warning tone.

She knew most of the disasters were caused by themselves.

Elder Sandra and the others heard it. They agreed with their advice.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Night returned to his room. He started resting. He didn’t know what was happening outside. He was focused on his training earlier.

The next morning, he heard something shocking. In the canteen, everyone was discussing the official news released by Elder Sandra, the head of the base.

He got his food plate and went to an empty table to sit. He didn’t start eating right away. First, he picked up his device and began to access his notifications.

He had received notifications in the morning as well, but he hadn’t gone through them. Then he saw what it was about.

After reading the news, his heart was stirred. He didn’t know such a big thing had happened in one day.

This matter was a headache for others, but the two Tier-9 Beast Tamers solved the crisis easily. It showed the power of Tier-9 Beast Tamers.

He then calmed his heart and put away the device. He started eating the mashed potatoes and boiled eggs.

As time passed, he heard that everyone was talking about it. Nobody knew when the Tier-9 Beast Tamers appeared in the base and completed their kill in the wilderness.

Jeremy Night was curious about their strength.

He had witnessed Tier-8 Beast Tamers’ fights from far away in previous Beast Invasion incidents, but he had not seen Tier-9 Beast Tamers fight very much.

He did remember one fight scene when a Lord forced the Colossal Spider to step back. That scene was forever etched in his mind.

It happened back in the 10th Zone. Since then, he hadn’t heard about the Colossal Beast again, not even from the mouths of the Beast Tamers in the 5th Zone and 4th Zone.

Not even the Beast Tamers here talked about the Colossal Beast. They were forced into this state because of a single Tier-9 Worm King.

What if the Colossal Beast attacked? Jeremy Night shook his head. He thought that if such an attack were to take place, the higher-ups would abandon the base.

They were not stupid enough to engage with the Colossal Beast. It didn’t take long for him to finish his food.

A few minutes later, he returned to his room. Since the crisis was solved, he thought he would soon receive a call from Elder John.

He wanted to go back to the wilderness to hunt down the corrupted beasts.

He didn’t know what would happen to the rankings. He was in the top 50 last time. It had taken him massive effort to do that.

Next, he took some rest.

20 minutes later, after getting ready, he began to practise inside his room. Because it was hard to get an empty room in the training facility.

Since all the members were staying in the base right now and no one was in the wilderness, they had occupied the training facility.

So he began to train inside the room. He couldn’t do much here, but he was doing mental visualization training.

Meanwhile, Declan and Sabina left the base in their aircraft. They were going back to the Human Alliance base.

Elder Sandra didn’t continue to smile. The matter of the casualties hit her. It was time to inform their families.

They had delayed it by citing the threat from the Tier-9 Worm Beast King, but they couldn’t do it anymore.

Elder Sandra made up her mind to apologize to the parents. She was the head of the base. It was her duty.
