The unknown beast egg continued to absorb the natural energy in the room. After some time, it paused and started giving back the feedback energy.

The feedback energy entered Jeremy Night’s body. He had been eagerly waiting for the feedback energy. The next second, the active cells were on the verge of a breakthrough.

They immediately started absorbing the natural energy. He could feel the activity of the cells.

It didn’t take long for the popping sound to occur. The cells broke their limit and entered a new stage. Next followed the transformation.

Tier-3, 9th Rank - Mid stage

His body entered the next stage, followed by his unknown beast egg lifeline beast.

Time passed

His body underwent changes. The flesh, bones, meridians, veins, and inner organs were improving at a faster rate. They were getting stronger.

His whole skeleton gained a new strength. At one point, the unknown beast egg stopped giving feedback energy after the transformation came to an end.

But the beast egg continued to absorb the natural energy in the room.

At the same time, the gate in the mental zone had changed. A third circle’s 9th block had a second small block activated.

The starlight power in the mental zone was strengthened as well. It had become sturdier and sharper.

As time passed, Jeremy continued to stabilize his new strength.

Post noon

The natural energy stopped coming in 6 hours later. The unknown beast egg had stopped absorbing the energy an hour earlier.

He too had completed stabilizing the new energy sometime earlier. But he didn’t want to waste time, so he continued to polish his foundation.

Now, his skin shone like glitter. His muscles were well-built and toned. He could feel the hidden strength inside his muscles.

Sometimes he forgot that his talent was actually Supreme Combat Body. It’s a Physique-type talent, so it was natural for him to take care of his physique more.

He then noticed the changes in the gate as well. Next, he paid attention to the starlight power. It was shining like a white star. He felt the starlight threat was going to be sharper.

He thought of leaving. He then recalled someone was waiting for him outside. Next, he stopped and left the room. There were signs of small impurities covering his skin.

Fortunately, he had a spare set of clothes in his storage ring. He then used the common bathroom to clean up.

20 minutes later,

He walked out wearing a set of new clothes and went towards the lobby. When he got there, he saw Sister Melinda was still there.

He walked up to her and said, "Don’t tell me you didn’t have dinner."

Melinda raised her head and checked Jeremy Night’s strength. She found the aura of Jeremy Night was definitely stronger than before.

But she could tell that Jeremy Night was not a Tier-4 Beast Tamer yet. She communicated with her lifeline beast to make sure. Her lifeline beast said the same.

She then asked, "Jeremy, first tell me did you break through?"

"Yes," Jeremy replied. He didn’t plan on hiding it from anyone.

"But I can tell that you are not a Tier-4 Beast Tamer," Melinda said.

Jeremy smiled and said, "I broke through to the Mid stage. I’m one step away from Tier-4."

A look of understanding dawned on her.

"That’s how it is," she uttered.

"Let me go," Jeremy replied.

Then both of them exited the training facility. Jeremy stopped a cab, and they both sat inside. He asked the driver to go to the nearest restaurant.

He had just broken through and felt a strong craving for good food. Melinda saw right through his thoughts.

10 minutes later,

The cab stopped in front of a good restaurant. Jeremy paid the fare before going inside with Sister Melinda.

The restaurant was half filled. The customers were chatting and enjoying their food. They found a good corner seat.

They sat down and picked up the menu card to order.

When the staff came, both Jeremy Night and Melinda ordered their favorite food. She ordered mashed potatoes and some fries.

Jeremy ordered some special beast meat filled with natural energy. While waiting for the order, he asked her about Head Harold.

"What is he doing?"

"Did he send you any message?"

Melinda raised her eyebrows. To be honest, she had been waiting for a response since morning, but she had gotten no reply so far.

She said, "I don’t know. I didn’t get any message."

Jeremy heard that. He was curious. He knew it had been some time since the improved beast powder was placed.

The higher-tier beasts should have reached the wilderness by now. He looked at Melinda and noticed her troubled expression.

Jeremy didn’t want to pry further. It didn’t take long for the food to arrive. Their attention shifted to the food.

Jeremy and Melinda then started enjoying their meal. Neither of them spoke for five minutes. Just then, the staff turned on the big screen, and the local news started broadcasting.

[Continuous deafening noise has been coming from the wilderness since last night. The noise was still heard until noon today.]

[Our reporters asked the city office for an opinion, but there was no response from officials.]

[We noticed public gatherings at the city gate were restricted. A few organizations were allowed to send their Beast Tamers into the wilderness.]

[Now a full ban is in place. No organization or family is allowed to send their Beast Tamers to the wilderness.]

The news anchor reported the news.

A low exclamation occurred in the restaurant. Everyone stopped eating their food and continued to look towards the big screen.

Jeremy Night used his eye power. He saw the expression of everyone in the room. They had traces of panic in their eyes.

He finally noticed a change in Melinda’s expression. He confirmed that she knew something. Now the news channels had confirmed that a ban was in place.

He decided to break the ban. He had already guessed what Head Harold and the City Governors were up to.

He thought they must be out there in the wilderness fighting against the Corrupted beasts, which explained the source of the noise.
