Chapter 981: Arrival of Lords
A modern aircraft is going towards the special base.
It will reach the 4th zone’s special base in a few hours. Inside the aircraft, two Beast Tamers are sitting in their seats.
The pilots are from the human alliance, and they are operating the flight. But they didn’t bring any other assistance with them.
The two passengers are one male and one female Tier-9 Beast Tamer. They are well over middle-aged. The male’s name is Declan and the female’s is Sabina.
There is a reason why the two of them are here. Sabina’s talent is related to the earth element. Her lifeline beast can trace any beast hiding underground.
She can track any other Tier-9 beast. That’s why the alliance sent her, so the special base can solve the problem once and for all.
Whereas Declan is known for slaughter. His element is ice. Usually, fire-type Beast Tamers are sent to kill troubling Tier-9 Beasts.
But the human alliance had sent their fire-type specialists on other missions, so they sent Declan for this mission instead. He is also known to be an attack-type Beast Tamer, yet he uses the ice element.
He had participated in numerous missions before, so the higher-ups were confident in his strength.
Declan and Sabina were chatting normally. They didn’t take the situation at the special base too seriously.
Because back at the Human Alliance, they dealt with such beasts on a daily basis.
...
Special Base
A few hours later,
The modern aircraft arrived at the special base and landed on the runway. Right then, Elder Sandra and the other elders came out to greet them.
The aircraft came to a halt. The door opened, and both Lords exited the aircraft, landing on the ground.
Elder Sandra arrived before them.
"Lord Declan,"
"Lord Sabina, welcome to our base."
Declan and Sabina nodded to her. Then the other elders greeted them one by one. Elder John and Elder Carter were among them as well.
They were surprised by the appearance of Tier-9 Beast Tamers from the Human Alliance. Elder Sandra had only informed them a few minutes earlier.
Sandra then led the elders to the main hall.
Declan and Sabina sat down in their main seats. They didn’t waste time and learned what happened from Elder Sandra.
Both of them had already received a briefing from the higher-ups, but they still learned the details from the people here.
Declan asked a few questions, learning that the Tier-9 Worm King hadn’t made an appearance so far.
Declan then turned towards Sabina.
He said, "I guess it’s time to work. Why don’t you locate the Tier-9 Worm beast first? If we both appear at the same time, the Tier-9 Beast might escape."
"You are right. I’ll go first," Sabina replied.
She then left the base with a few elders. Declan and a few other elders decided to wait behind. Once Sabina located the beast, he would go there directly.
They knew the cunning nature of Tier-9 Beasts, they wouldn’t fall for an obvious trap.
Elder John stayed behind, but Elder Carter left with Lord Sabina. He knew they were heading to the final battle.
This time, the Tier-9 Beast would die for sure.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy Night woke up from his sleep, his tiredness and sleepiness gone. After getting out of bed, he came to the living area and did his morning routine.
The routine lasted for an hour. Then, he turned his attention toward training. His blade skill had already entered the advanced stage.
This time, he didn’t practice in his room; he decided to go to the training facility instead.
After getting ready, he left the room and headed to the training facility. On the way, he came across other people.
The numbers had increased compared to last night. He figured that the members had started coming back.
It had to be related to Elder Sandra. After the deal regarding the 22 Tier-7 Beast Tamers, he doubted they would remain quiet.
He soon reached the training facility, opened the door, and walked inside.
Next, he shut the door and began practicing close-combat techniques against a steel combat puppet.
Boom!
One after another, he executed punches against the steel puppet. The vibrations transmitted straight into it.
It was a vibration attack without using starlight power.
Boom!
The vibration power blasted the steel puppet away. The puppet rocketed backward before crashing into the wall.
Seeing that, Jeremy Night stopped his movements and inspected the puppet. There was a dent in it.
He then set up another puppet, deciding to execute more punches without using starlight power.
The new steel puppet was fixed onto the platform. He once again controlled his body muscles, relaxing and tensing them in rhythm.
He continued the movement, wanting to increase the speed of the rhythm. Next, he raised his fist and punched forward.
Boom!
The punch landed a heavy blow on the steel puppet. The continuous rhythm had increased its power, and the vibration transmitted directly into the puppet.
Boom!
This time, the dent was huge; the steel puppet was almost broken. Seeing the damage, he was impressed with his own attack.
He decided to push the same rhythm even further. He used the vibration technique on the puppet once more, sending an increased force through it.
Boom!
The steel puppet broke into pieces, its parts splattering across the ground. It was a huge improvement.
If he had used starlight power earlier, the result would have been the same, but now he had achieved that level of damage output without using any starlight power at all.
He didn’t want this to be a one-off attack, so he decided to master this new technique. As time passed, he continued using the same continuous rhythm to increase his vibration power.
He practiced his fist attacks on steel puppets until he had broken more than 20 of them in the process. He wanted his close combat to reach the same level as his blade skill.
If his close combat reached the advanced stage, he could easily defeat others in close quarters. Most Beast Tamers were weak in combat, and almost all of them were weak in close quarters.
