Jeremy Night raised his head and saw the towering building. He then took a step forward and walked up to the gate. No one was outside right now. It was getting close to nighttime.

After reaching the door, he opened it and walked inside. His gaze immediately swept across the place.

He saw the front office on the left side. There was a huge sitting area on the right side. He then looked toward the second floor. It led to Elder Harold’s office.

He saw a few members going about their business. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry. He thought it was related to the Beast Invasion incident.

Jeremy Night then walked up to the sitting area. He sat on the sofa. Next, he took out his device and called Sister Melinda.

The members who were walking by didn’t pay attention to him. On the other hand, it seemed no one was left in the front office.

His eyes flashed with worry. The call was quickly connected.

"Jeremy, is that you?" Melinda asked. Her voice sounded serious.

"Yeah, I’m in the building right now. Where are you?" Jeremy asked.

"What?"

"Are you here?" Melinda asked again.

"Yes, I’m here. Come down," Jeremy Night replied.

He then ended the call and put away the device. He began to wait for her to come down.

A few minutes later,

Melinda came down to the sitting area. Her gaze immediately fell on Jeremy Night. Her face showed a relieved expression.

Swoosh!

Next, she appeared before Jeremy Night and gave him a hug.

Jeremy Night observed her. Her expression showed worry. He immediately started asking about his parents.

"Where are my parents?"

"What happened to them?" Jeremy asked.

Melinda stepped back and looked toward Jeremy Night. She found that Jeremy Night was strong. She was getting the sense of a Tier-6 Beast Tamer.

She then collected her thoughts. She then thought of Jeremy Night’s parents.

She said, "They were admitted to the hospital. Let me take you there."

Hearing that, Jeremy nodded his head and said, "Let’s go."

They didn’t waste time. They immediately left the building. Melinda brought him outside and found a cab. Next, they entered the cab.

She then told the driver their destination.

The cab departed from the place. It started heading toward the hospital. Jeremy Night was watching the outside scene through the window.

In the meantime, Melinda texted the news to Elder Harold Red. She didn’t know whether Jeremy Night had told anyone or not.

10 minutes later,

The cab arrived in front of the hospital and landed on the platform. When the cab came to a halt, Jeremy Night stepped outside.

Next, Melinda stepped out as well. She then paid the fare to the driver. The cab then left the place.

Jeremy Night raised his head and looked up at the multi-story building. It was the hospital. Both of them started heading toward the hospital.

After entering inside, Melinda spoke to the staff at the admin desk. They registered their names on the visitor list.

Next, Melinda began to lead him toward the room. His parents were admitted on the second floor.

A few minutes later,

They arrived in front of the room. Jeremy Night saw the room. He opened the door and walked in.

Next, he saw his father and mother on the bed. Both of their hands were covered in bandages.

"Mom! Dad!"

Jeremy Night called out before rushing toward them. Both parents were half asleep. After hearing his voice, they opened their eyes.

They saw that their son, Jeremy Night, was here.

"Jeremy," Nora uttered in shock. She tried to get up. Jeremy appeared next to her and supported her.

Ron Night lifted his head. He saw Jeremy Night. His eyes flashed with relief. He didn’t expect his son to come all of a sudden.

He knew his son was supposed to be busy at the special base.

Nora hugged her son. She then started taking a proper look at him. She tried to see through his strength, but she found that the strength of Jeremy Night was strong.

Jeremy Night sighed in relief. He found out that both were fine except for some wounds.

Melinda was watching quietly.

Jeremy then walked up to his dad and spoke to him.

After checking on them, he decided to find out what happened.

"Can you guys tell me now?"

"What happened?"

"Did you participate in the Beast Invasion incident?" Jeremy Night asked.

Ron and Nora were taken aback. They looked at each other. They didn’t expect Jeremy Night to have found out any information.

Ron then took a deep breath and said, "It was an order from the City Governors. We couldn’t disobey them."

"City Governors," Jeremy uttered.

"Yes, the beast invasion rates were increasing. We lacked Beast Tamers in the city. So the City Governors wanted every Tier-5 and above Beast Tamer to contribute," Nora replied.

"Yes, it’s true. Even Head Harold couldn’t stop it. After your departure, the beast attacks increased. We have been recruiting Beast Tamers from other cities to manage the problem," Melinda said.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night’s expression softened. If the situation was that dire, then he couldn’t blame the Governors.

He calmed his heart. He couldn’t overlook the situation. The beast tide was worse than before.

Ron and Nora sighed in relief. They were worried that Jeremy Night might do something, but seeing that he calmed himself down, they were relieved.

"Jeremy, don’t worry. Head Harold is taking care of them. In fact, he had been protecting them even on the battlefield," Melinda said.

"I know. I’m just curious about the Beast Tides. Normally, higher-tier beasts are behind such incidents. Did they fail to find out the culprit?" Jeremy asked.

"We don’t know yet. But Head Harold and the elders think a Tier-9 Beast is behind the recent beast tides. However, the Tier-9 Beast hasn’t exposed itself so far," Melinda explained.

Hearing that, Jeremy touched his forehead. The situation reminded him of the Tier-9 Worm King. The Tier-9 Worm King had caused huge problems for the special base before dying.

If not for the lords from the Human Alliance, the Tier-9 Worm King would have continued to hide.
