Chapter 993: Bad News
Special Base
Jeremy Night ended the practice a few hours later and walked out. The device was not buzzing right now. He then went to take a shower.
30 minutes later,
He was ready and sat down on the sofa to relax. His gaze fell on the device. He checked the device and saw so many missed calls from Elder John.
The last one was a few minutes ago. He immediately dialed back. The call connected. He then heard the voice of Elder John.
"Jeremy, what are you doing?" John asked. His tone sounded stern.
"I just exited the practice room," Jeremy replied.
John’s expression eased on the other side. He then took a breath and said, "There is important news to tell you. But don’t get tense."
Hearing that, Jeremy Night felt bad. His heart felt heavy all of a sudden.
"Elder, tell me?" Jeremy asked.
"Your parents were admitted to the hospital. They suffered a small accident," John said.
"What?" Jeremy uttered in shock.
"Yes, I got a call from your organization head. Head Harold wanted you to come back to the 5th Zone. There is a special flight to the 5th Zone coming in one hour. Get ready," John said.
"Don’t think about the leaderboard rankings or the mission. Take a couple of days’ leave," John added.
Hearing that, Jeremy Night thanked him on the call. When the call ended, he put away the device and began to pack his things.
Because of his busy life here, he had forgotten about his parents. He knew their safety was guaranteed by Head Neil Moon and Head Harold Red.
That’s why he was focused here. But he didn’t know how his parents suffered an accident. Because they were not weak. They had decent strength. They were Tier-5 Beast Tamers.
30 minutes later,
He left the accommodation building and went to the administration building. He bought a ticket to the 5th Zone. The staff were surprised, but they didn’t ask anything.
He then went to the runway and began to wait for the special flight to come in 30 minutes. He stood in the shade, but his mind was on something else.
He had never heard of Tier-5 Beast Tamers meeting with an accident in the city, unless they had encountered something else, which pointed to the corrupted beasts in the wilderness.
He had specifically requested both elders to arrange jobs for them. They had promised him that they would find jobs inside the organization.
They were not going to take risks in the wilderness.
Buzz!
His device buzzed again. He checked the device and saw a message from Elder John.
[Ready?]
He texted back, saying he was ready to depart. He was waiting for the flight’s arrival.
[Good. Contact me if you need help.]
He got the next text. He replied back, thanking him.
His eyes flashed with a glint. Jeremy thought Elder John must have figured out something. That’s why he was sending a text like that.
He then put away the device. Then he calmed his heart and mind.
30 minutes later,
The fortified special plane landed on the runway. It came to a halt after a few minutes. Then the cabin door opened.
Creak!
He noticed he was the only one to board. He didn’t waste time. He showed his ticket before heading inside. Soon, he found his seat in the last row.
He looked around and noticed there were a few passengers on the flight. He then sat in his seat. Next, he closed his eyes and began to rest.
The special flight began to depart ten minutes later.

5th Zone, City-A
Time passed
A couple of hours later, the special flight reached the 5th Zone and touched down. Jeremy woke up then. He had slept for a long time.
He then noticed that the flight had reached the airport. Slowly, the plane taxied on the ground.
A few minutes later,
Everyone began to leave one by one. Jeremy stood up and followed the passengers out. His turn came quickly.
He exited the flight and touched the ground. He immediately felt the difference in the natural energy.
It was evening time. The sky was dark. He decided to leave. He then followed the others toward the exit.
20 minutes later,
He exited the airport. He then found a cab driver and asked him to take him to the Red Moon Chamber. The driver agreed.
He entered the cab and sat in the back.
Shortly afterward,
The cab departed. Jeremy lowered the window and began to look at the passing view. It had been some time since he left.
But he remembered the places and the route. Next, he thought of his parents. He decided to go to the Red Moon Chamber.
Head Harold must be there. If not, I’ll contact Senior Sister Melinda. Jeremy Night didn’t speak a word, but he noticed the driver’s expression was dull.
He then thought of something and asked, "How is everything going in the city these days?"
Hearing that, the driver was taken aback. He then realized that the customer had come from the airport.
"Customer, you don’t know, but these days we are experiencing small beast tides regularly. At least four times a week," the driver replied.
A quick gleam appeared in Jeremy Night’s eyes. His suspicion was right. His parents might have encountered the corrupted beasts in the wilderness.
He remembered both heads had promised that they wouldn’t allow his parents to enter the wilderness. He was angry.
It was because of their assurance that he agreed to let his parents move from the 10th Zone to the 5th Zone. He decided to investigate.
20 minutes later,
The cab driver reached the Red Moon Chamber. The guards at the gate stopped the cab, but Jeremy showed his Red Moon Chamber ID. They recognized it.
The guards at the gate allowed the cab to enter.
The cab then stopped on the open plot in front of the building. He exited the cab and paid the fare to the driver. The driver was shocked. He didn’t expect the guest to be connected to the Red Moon Chamber.
Jeremy Night watched the cab driver leave. He didn’t carry any luggage. It was all inside his storage ring.
