Chapter 1003: The Clearing Operation
5th Zone, Wilderness
As the nighttime passed, the beast activity increased further. Now, the higher-tier beasts started making an appearance.
City Lord Martin had given clear instructions earlier. They were not allowed to touch the mid-tier beasts. But the matter of the higher-tier beasts was completely different.
A considerable number of them crossed the border, including four-legged hybrid beasts and venomous beasts.
Boom!
City Lord Martin allowed the others to release their lifeline beasts. Several Tier-7 Lifeline beasts landed on the ground. They started targeting the higher-tier Corrupted Beasts.
Among the team, there were many others who were like City Governor Martin, with Tier-8 strength. Yet they didn’t summon their Lifeline beasts.
Because the higher-tier beasts were a mix between Tier-6 and Tier-8. No Tier-8 beasts had appeared so far. These people were waiting for those beasts.
While the City Governor was waiting for Tier-9 beasts.
On the other hand, Head Harold and the other two Governors started taking action on their sides. They were frustrated that they couldn’t eliminate the mid-tier beasts.
But the higher-tier beasts brought them a chance. Still, it was not easy for them to defeat the higher-tier beasts.
The higher-tier Corrupted Beasts were intelligent. If any Beast Tamers underestimated them, it was not good news for their lifeline beasts.
Time passed.
A deafening noise continued to occur in the wilderness all night. The people who were doing nighttime missions were shocked.
Even the guards stationed around the city wall saw flames like fireworks covering the skies of the wilderness. They were afraid that there could be another beast tide.
But the multiple Captains present there handled the situation. Earlier, they had received a message from the City Lord’s office.
They knew the City Governors had started the clearing work.

Hotel
Jeremy Night was on a phone call with Elder John. Elder John was inquiring about his parents’ condition.
Jeremy explained the situation. He didn’t know whether it was okay to tell Elder John about the Darkshade Organization. He was hesitating.
"Jeremy, what happened?" John asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy gathered his thoughts.
He said, "Elder John, I feel something is wrong with the wilderness here. I’m afraid there will be another beast tide."
"If it happens, then once again my parents will be recruited forcibly," he added.
John was surprised. But he knew about Jeremy Night. He knew Jeremy Night had done several dangerous missions at the special base. His rank had shot up to the top 50 in the leaderboard rankings.
It was not an easy feat. He thought he should trust Jeremy Night’s instincts.
"What do you want to do?" John asked.
Jeremy took a deep breath. He knew he was going to ask for a lot, but he didn’t have another choice.
"Elder, I think I should participate in the battle instead of my parents," Jeremy said.
He put forth his thoughts. Now it was up to Elder John to decide.
"I understand your situation, but you cannot leave the special base for extended periods. There are rules here. I’ll discuss it with Elder Sandra first. Then I’ll call you later," John said.
Jeremy Night agreed. When the call ended, he put away the device. Suddenly, he felt a strong sense of craving from the unknown beast egg.
His eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He thought that the opportunity for a breakthrough had come. He decided to use the facility tomorrow.
The following day,
Jeremy Night woke up early and did his morning routine. The routine lasted for one hour. He then went to the bathroom to take a shower.
He spent 20 minutes there. After coming out, he changed into casual clothes.
15 minutes later,
After getting ready, he left the room and went to the lobby. When he got there, he saw someone sitting on the sofa waiting for his arrival.
The person was none other than Sister Melinda. He paused his footsteps and looked at her with surprise.
He was truly surprised. He then walked up to her and said, "Sister Melinda, you really don’t have to do this."
Melinda stood up from her seat and said, "I’m doing my job. I hope you won’t stop it."
Her voice sounded serious. He looked at her for a second. Then he shook his head and said, "It’s up to you."
After saying that, Jeremy exited the hotel. Melinda followed him from behind.
"Where are you going now?" Melinda asked.
She had been thinking that Jeremy Night might do something. He was a risk-taker.
Jeremy turned around and saw through her thoughts.
"Don’t worry, I’m not going to the wilderness. I’m heading towards the training facility," Jeremy said to her.
"Training facility?" Melinda uttered.
She was confused.
"You can use your Red Moon Chamber room. Why are you spending money on a hotel and a training facility? You are still part of the Red Moon Chamber," Melinda said.
Jeremy Night stopped a cab. It stopped in front of him. Without turning back, he said, "It’s for convenience."
He opened the door and sat in the back seat. Melinda entered and sat next to him as well. He then told the driver to go to the training facility. His unknown lifeline beast egg had been craving energy since last night.
Melinda was silent. She didn’t want to do this, but Head Harold had given it as a warning. Head Harold thought that Jeremy Night might make a drastic decision because of his parents.
And she had seen in the hospital how Jeremy’s parents themselves wanted Jeremy Night to go back. They were afraid that Jeremy Night might do something.
They were quiet for the entire ride.
10 minutes later,
The cab stopped in front of the training facility.
Both of them exited the cab. Jeremy Night paid the fare to the driver. Then he started walking straight into the building.
He stopped in front of the admin desk and booked a training facility for six hours.
Melinda, who was nearby, was taken aback. Normally, Beast Tamers didn’t need that many hours for practice, unless someone was preparing for a breakthrough.
Her eyes gleamed with a twinkle. She felt that Jeremy Night’s aura was strong, but she couldn’t pinpoint it accurately. She decided to wait for him to come out later.
