Inside a room of a skyscraper building, a council meeting was underway. The higher-ups had gathered because of the situation in the 5th Zone.

They had received a report that the Tier-5 Zone was troubled by the Tier-9 Beast again. It was currently under attack.

The higher-ups knew the reason behind the attack. City Governor Martin had reported the root cause of the problem to them.

Someone had placed improved Beast Powder to draw higher-tier beasts into the wilderness. Now, it has attracted the Tier-9 Earth Lizard.

Not all the elders were here. Some had gone out on a mission. Those present could make the decision to send support.

But to deal with the root cause, they needed the presence of every elder. It was even more difficult to arrange that.

A red-haired old man in the meeting said, "Don’t you all think it’s time to put restrictions on their activities? We cannot risk the whole human zone for their experiment."

Silence!

A silence filled the room. Not everyone dared to call out the organization in public, because the founder of the Darkshade Organisation was one of them.

A female elder said, "He has been researching to find the weakness of the Colossal Beasts. But it’s not easy to approach them. That’s why he needed to test on a Tier-9 Beast."

"Hmph." Hearing that, the red-haired elder snorted.

The identity of the female elder was not ordinary either.

The other elders in the room were quiet. Some of them did not like the ways of certain people.

A bald-headed elder said, "Can we send someone to stop the Tier-9 Lizard?"

"We cannot put the lives of millions of people in City A at risk," he added.

Hearing that, the female elder furrowed her eyebrows and said, "Baldie, there is no need to rush. It will take time for the improved beast powder to work. Only then can the Darkshade members collect the data."

Gasp!

A little commotion occurred in the meeting room. The female elder was thinking about collecting data while disregarding the lives of the people.

The bald-headed elder said, "If you won’t tell me what’s going on, then I will go there myself to kill the beast."

Hearing that, the face of the female elder changed. She didn’t expect the old man to be so stubborn.

"I’m free as well. I will accompany you," the red-haired elder added.

Hearing that, the old woman was enraged. She looked toward them and said, "It appears you guys are not afraid of him. He is doing this for the whole of humanity."

"I don’t put my trust in one person," the bald-headed elder said.

"I think it’s time to make a decision. Everyone raise your hands if you want to send support to the 5th Zone," the red-haired elder said.

Hearing that, the elders began to look at each other. Then, one by one, they started raising their hands.

The face of the old woman turned ugly. She didn’t expect the meeting would end like this.

"If you guys ruin his experiment, he will be angry," she said.

"I don’t care about that. The lives of the people are what’s important now. So many innocent beast tamers have died fighting against the beasts," the red-haired elder said.

"It’s time to stop," he added.

The old woman took a deep breath before saying, "The improved beast powder was made keeping Tier-9 Beasts in mind. They are more intelligent and sensitive to scents."

"The improved Beast Powder will drive the beast mad. At a certain point, its brain system will collapse, leading to its death," she added.

"What?" the bald-headed old man uttered in shock.

The red-haired old man didn’t expect such a reason either.

"What if the beast doesn’t die?" the bald-headed old man asked.

"Well, I don’t know. I just told you the goal of the experiment," the female elder said.

"Let’s go and stop the beast," the red-haired elder said.

Hearing that, the bald-headed elder nodded. Then, both of them exited the meeting room. They left the Human Alliance area in the blink of an eye.

They were now heading toward the 5th Zone. Both of them were reputed Tier-9 Beast Tamers and could handle the situation out there.

Meanwhile, the other elders were leaving the room one by one, avoiding eye contact with the old woman.

There were differing opinions about the experiment. There were supporters of the experiment as well, and they went over to speak with the old woman.

The female elder collected her thoughts. She was not part of the Darkshade Organisation, but she was one of its supporters.

However, things had gotten out of hand. She didn’t know how the others had learned about the improved beast powder.

The Darkshade Organisation had planned to make it look like a natural incident so that no one would suspect anything.

Instead, the secret had been exposed. Now, none of the elders would just sit back and watch the battle unfold.

If those two elders killed the Tier-9 Lizard early, their previous efforts would be wasted. Normally, she was not privy to such information.

Because the founder of the Darkshade Organisation was not here, they needed the support of other main elders in the council. That was how she had come to know of the matter.

Now she could only alert them to be ready. The experiment could fail.

Wilderness (5th Zone)

Jeremy Night was looking for other Beast Tamers in the inner area, but he hadn’t encountered another group. However, he kept hearing a continuous loud noise coming from the distance.

The sound was faint compared to the core area, but the noise could still be heard. He didn’t know what kind of battle was taking place at the border.

Though he was curious, he didn’t have a death wish either. He had already escaped twice and didn’t want to make the same mistake again.

He collected his thoughts and looked toward the sky, noticing that it was getting darker as evening approached.

It was too dangerous to spend the night here. He made up his mind to move before nighttime; he still had more ground to clear.
