Sword of the Philosopher

Revenge opponent

I naturally knew what Silvi was up to, but I haven't told Sofia or Kuza yet. I was gonna leave it to Silvi to figure out what to do around here.

"... I mean, my purpose is revenge. I'm after a man who burned his hometown."

After we showed the academia, we decided to move to town and have dinner. In the meantime, Silvi starts explaining. I told Sophia and the others what I was doing.

I thought it would be easy to talk, but I've been dealing with a lot of things so far, so I guess I explained it.

"So to Garnise to be strong?

As Sophia asked, Silvi nodded instantly.

"That's the thing...... well, Luon. I explained the situation to both of you. As far as I'm concerned, I need you to talk to Sophia and the others."

"Ok...... from here I'll explain the story I know"

If you notice, there's a raffin near Sophia, and there was a garc on the table at some point. About the story, I guess that's why you're interested.

"I defeated a demonized mercenary before. thereby...... Sylvie should have gotten the notebook of her vengeful opponent"

"Oh, yeah"

"A lot. Well, was it something noisy"

Kuuza shouts out in surprise.

"Were you able to get information on your residence from your notebook?

"No, I couldn't. I don't know why I was in that hunter's cabin in the first place."

"It wasn't explained in detail in the story... so this is where it matters. Simply put, getting a notebook at that request causes an event to occur"

"If you don't get your notes, won't that happen? I don't think it's relevant."

Sophia tilts her neck. I don't know how they interpret my 'story', but at least it would be impossible to imagine it as a game of free scenarios, etc. So the question is best.

"Around there, even if it seems to be a completely irrelevant story because a detailed explanation will be long... it would be helpful if you had as many interpretations as there are cases where it is actually relevant"

"Okay. So, by getting the notebook, what?

"A town within the kingdom of Nateria... In the story, Silvi and his vengeful opponent make a near miss when he tries to move from the kingdom's capital to another place"

To this statement, Sylvie gives a heavy look.

"Doesn't it mean we run into each other and the battle starts?

"Oh. To tell the truth, Silvi is a companion after what happened - in this case, you're the protagonist of the story. Explain vengeance to the person. Then I start looking into the vengeful opponent... I know where he is"

"He said he could skip the investigation, etc."

"Oh. But I may not see you unless you have proper procedures"

"Either way, you need to go to town."

I snorted at Kuza's words.

"Of course, there is a possibility that there is nothing. Be prepared that it doesn't work like my explanation because it went according to the story and it may not. Silvi, is that all right?

Sylvie nodded at these words and told me after much thought.

"There's one thing I need to check before I see you"

"What?"

"I'm talking about how I can win. Apparently, Luon assumed that I had a certain strength and brought these stories to life."

"... As it stands, I think there is a chance of winning if we light up Sylvie's abilities. Since this event will disappear after the Southern invasion, fighting the Five Demons… Given the possibility that it will both begin at the same time, I think there is only one chance to fight for sure right now. However, Sylvie's ability is no different than being troublesome."

"Any reason?

'Cause I'm gonna use some nasty moves.'

"I see, but I know that, too. A move that produces shockwaves by magic, right?

"Oh, yeah"

Tiger Artillery, an intermediate generic technique of physical surgery. The move of emitting a blue-white shockwave forward that mimics a tiger. It's not that powerful, but it's plain powerful because it's a multi-stage hit.

Even now that it has become a reality, its effects are alive and well. And it's getting worse in nature.

"This move, but basically, we fight the attack as a priority, right? But the shockwave doesn't end with just dodging once... twice or three times, and we have to prevent an attack."

"He says it's hard to avoid in a normal way."

"That's the thing... I can take action on this once and for all"

With those words, Sylvie also seemed to understand what she wanted to say.

"Can you use the luon, too?

"Oh. I wonder if Silvi's taste can take measures in half a day. So we can do something about this move... Confirm, but we'll take care of it, right?

"I'm not so powerless as to storm as I am powerless. And falling into the blade without any preparation... is something I shouldn't do."

"Then we'll work together... so there's another nasty move"

After foreshadowing, we talk about the game as we look back.

First of all, it's called "Wet in Blood and Blamed."

"What kind of move is that?

"An extremely simple double strike… but shockwaves diffuse just like 'tiger cannons'. A cumbersome move that emits a shockwave at first sight and a second blow where it stops the movement… it should be more powerful and more shocking than a 'tiger cannon'"

"You think I can't even use that luon?

"I think Silvi knows, but his opponent has a special sword. That makes that move possible. I mean, it's a trick."

Sylvie replies "I see" to my explanation.

"So what do I have to do?

"First, measures for 'tiger cannons'. And what to do with" Blood Wet and Blamed "... I can imitate that move too, but I can't take any more complete measures than it's not real"

"Enough... Luon, I'm sorry"

"You don't have to apologize. I don't want Sylvie to die."

If Silvi loses in that event, she dies and falls out of her crew. Which means it ends eventually on the bad end.

It's a duel form for once an event, but you can cover for her by ignoring that stuff when it becomes a reality. But...

"Luon, I'll tell you what, I don't need a hand. If you want to fight, I want you to do it alone."

Sylvie says. There is only a firm will to fight alone.

"... oh, okay"

"Covering secretly with magic, maybe, because it's nashi, right?

"Oh."

As far as I'm concerned, how much of a precaution can be taken against her beforehand... and keeping her out of the event if it's true. But Sylvie will come shaking this topic more than I know all the circumstances, and it's not a good idea to leave her obsessed.

All I can do is end the event in the best possible way.

"What do we do?

Now Sophia asks. You want to do something more than just hear from Silvi.

"... there's nothing I can tell you. What do you say, Sylvie?

"Sophia and Kuuza just have to do as they always do. I told you about this one because I trust you two, and I just wanted you to understand that I'm going to go and liquidate my past."

"If it's over, what are we going to do?

Kuuza asks. If it's about revenge, then maybe there's no reason to hold the sword anymore.

"Whatever."

Silvi responded immediately.

"We're going to fight more demons than ever before."

"Then we'll see to it."

Sophia says. Sylvie turns to me after answering "I'm sorry."

"Please cooperate."

"Oh, sure."

Nodding, we're headed to town to do Sylvie's event.
