"If that's the case, why don't you let me sleep in the stable? I can't prepare food."

That's what the old village chief said and gave me permission.

"Thank you"

Bal goes to the taught horse cabin with thanks.

"Hey, old man. What are you gonna do for dinner?

"Yeah? I don't mind skipping a meal or so."

To the boy's inquiry he responds with a strong expression.

Actually, it's a matter of whatever it takes, but the boy doesn't know that.

"Seriously. Why don't I split my dick?

"I just can't do that."

Bal thanked the boy for his kindness but said no.

"Really? You want me to bring you a blanket or something?

"If you want it, ask the village chief, it'll be fine."

Bal answered and then asked him.

"How can you be so kind to me?

"Because your mother said so. There are times when we all need someone's help, so help us when you can, too."

Kyle answers without hesitation.

"Really? You're a good mother."

"Yeah, it pisses me off a lot, though"

The boy laughed lightly at Bal's words.

"Isn't it time to go home and get mad?

Bal says, he looks out in a hurry.

"Yabe, I'll see you tomorrow. If it works, I'll bring you the rest of the rice."

Kyle was leaving in a big hurry for his own house when he waved.

When Bal, who dropped him off, falls asleep in the corner of the stable, Meena emerges without sound.

"You're really in the stable,"

She looks around and tells her flashy face with surprise.

"Well, that's the kind of guy we all know about Bal."

When Bal answers, she shuts up and takes food out of the bag.

What's inside is odorless, hard to scatter eating cusses, and nuts that don't interfere with eating in someone else's horse cabin, etc.

"But I'm glad to be here. I've been taught that I don't know where to breathe."

Bal talks about a friendly boy.

"There seems to be a reason why places like this have more opportunities to help each other."

Meena pales her thoughts.

Bal moistened his throat by putting his mouth on the water bottle she offered him when he finished his meal and made a statement.

"I hear you've encountered an enemy with Ingway, but I'd like your opinion"

When I heard the circumstances, Meena responded with a faint expression of displeasure.

"It's probably a spell. It's something that interferes with the other person's brain, hands on memory, and if the conditions are met, it can lead to death. It's called the Dark Summoning Art, and there's going to be an outsider behind it."

"... how difficult is that spell?

Bal asks what the Emperor and Yagami Fai will probably care about as well.

"Of the ten levels, it's about the second from the top. If you think about it with your witchcraft arm, you might have an Imperial court magic secretary."

You're a pain in the ass.

Bal faces Meena's answer.

The chief magician of the court was said to be the highest point of reach for an imperial magician.

With the exception of Yagami Fai, the current secretary is undoubtedly the Empire One, so much so that he contends with some of the next in Yagami Fai even in his fighting power.

"By the way, what business were you here for today?

Because the silence came, Meena asked him.

"At the behest of His Majesty the Emperor. You said if I had my next hand, it would be near here, so here I am."

Bal reveals the truth because her opponent doesn't have to hide it.

"That's surprising. Did the man, Master Bal, admit to leaving the capital?"

Meena seemed sincerely surprised.

The contemporary emperor she sees is cowardly enough to withstand the situation that the most powerful Bal is not nearby.

"I can't deny that he's more cautious, but he's not the kind of person who prioritizes his safety over the people."

Bal smiles bitterly and corrects her mistakes.

"If Master Bal says so"

She answered avoiding controversy with him.

"By the way, what happened around here where adventurers were called?

She nods to Bal's question.

"Yeah. They saw a herd of Firewolves in the meadow near this neighboring village. Isn't that why class six to seven adventurers were called?"

"With that said, Tanya was in the seventh grade, and there must have been a sixth grade magician at the party."

And he snapped.

I didn't check it out myself, but Roy at the desk spoke to me on his own.

"If you have a sixth grade, you don't think you'll be late, like Firewolf. If you trust the rank system of the Alliance."

"You'll be fine around there. There may be people like me who dare to be low ranked."

A system that cannot be ranked up unless certain conditions are met has the hand of not being promoted by deliberately failing to meet the conditions.

I don't normally do it because the higher the rank, the better the request I get, and I get fame, but Bal himself does what he doesn't normally do, so I can't ignore the possibility of having a kind of person.

"... should I come and see those Tanya's?

Meena leads the way against Bal, which seems somewhat difficult to say.

"Will you ask me?

"An adventurer should be at his own risk, even if he dies of what he asked for...?

She has turned her gaze to the rare and rustling.

"I've never heard of a firewolf out in this neighborhood. Some kind of foretaste, or maybe the effect of a massive demonic summons."

"I see. That means investigating just in case."

Meena convinces me that she's not overprotective because she's a lover I know.

"Oh. Let's go together"

"... nothing. I don't mind."

She answered Bal's invitation with a moment aside.
