Bal decided to take the request in the guild a while back.

"Thank you for waiting. I had a decision up there that I was okay."

Roy says to him with a gentle smile and puts the requested paper on the table that even the ninth level adventurer can take.

I find something I like after a few turns.

"I want Crocus for your mother's birthday, but I can't go pick it up myself. Best regards,"

It's written in pretty, girly letters.

The reward is pretty cheap with five copper coins, but Bal doesn't care.

"I'll make this one."

Roy will look convinced that he was shown the requisition he chose.

"Surely it's a dubious request to have someone else undertake it besides Mr. Bal."

The youth at reception knew Bal was actively accepting requests that were likely to be avoided by adventurers other than himself.

"Where should Crocus go to pick it up?

I pretend to know the truth but Bal doesn't.

"Oh. I walked out of the West Gate for about an hour, I think it's growing in the bush. It's an easy request for not specifying the color of the flower."

"Right."

to Roy's words. He leaves the guild in agreement.

It is assumed that the area around the Imperial Capital is secure and that it is not first dangerous for ordinary people to walk unless it is inherently midnight.

Still, I guess the reason this request is unpopular is simply because the rewards are low and I don't have the foil to be an adventurer again.

If I had a gentle adventurer, I would have gone through it. Sometimes I would have done a favor, but otherwise it's tough and now is a bad time.

(An adventurer party that's going to do it, 'cause I'm mostly paying for it now)

Since the Empire was raided by Gargoyle, many adventurers have been unable to take requests for safety checks.

It's just a party vigorously making good requests to make up for that hole at all.

That's why Bal wanted to do it himself.

Ride the great streets of the western gate of the Imperial City and go looking for the flowers of Crocus, strewn by the humans, beasts and dwarves who want to go.

Travelers, traders and hikers are also walking because the sun is still high.

Bal's chest warmed naturally to the revival of a sight not seen until a while ago.

(Peace is best after all)

I think it's something Yagami Fai has to protect.

Crocus flowers are quickly found and I pick more of the same purple ones just in case.

"Shit. Should I have prepared some wrapping paper?

So Bal realized how naughty he was.

I feel like something is different about delivering as many flowers as you pick.

(But you can't ask Meena or Sidonier anyway)

I think if it were the women, they would know what it was, but I was hesitant to consult Yagami Fai on an ideological call.

Think about talking to someone before you go back to the guild and turn back the way you came.

I was lucky enough to run into Tanya and the others when I got back to Empire City.

"What does Bal have? A gift for someone?

A little cat beast girl talks to me with a face of intrigue.

Her curious and conversation-loving personality is also greatly appreciated at times like this.

"No, it's a request in the guild. I think it's a gift, but I was just wondering if it would be the same."

Tanya smiled if Bal was frank.

"Hey, Mr. Bal, you got a good point. Well, if it's a gift, I'll just wrap it in a pretty piece of paper."

"... do you have any idea who might give me that pretty piece of paper?

To his inquiry she puts her finger on her poor lips and thinks.

"You should buy it, but I guess the reward is low because it's about as much as Bal is getting. Don't you know anyone at the clothes store?

"For once?

Tanya grinned as Bal listened consciously and strangely.

"You can have the pieces of fabric you plan to throw away separately. I guess that'll make things a little better."

"I see! Thanks for the advice"

She laughs and hands at him with a full smile and words of gratitude.

"It's no big deal. Bye."

That's all she leaves to say, rendezvous with her buddies waiting a little further away.

Bal went to the clothes store he knew to talk about the situation.

"Well, if it's enough to wrap those flowers... there aren't many adventurers, other than Bal, who can't get paid as much as we do"

"I'm sorry. Thanks, Rado."

A dwarf man thanked by him rubs his nose as illuminated.

"I mean fine. Instead, if you have any problems, please don't hesitate."

"Oh. If there's anything I can do, I'd love to."

Rado didn't just give me a piece of cloth, he sewed it and replaced it with wrapping paper.

Even though red, blue, white, yellow and four colors are used, I guess it looks pretty good because of his good arm and taste.

"There you go. This won't look bad."

"Wow, Rado"

Rado laughs and sticks out when Bal is impressed.

"Just take it."

He thanked again and took to the Adventurer Guild.

A red-haired short-haired human girl with a qualitative appearance of about ten years old when she goes inside, and a boy with a very similar face, about thirteen, are in front of the reception.

When I noticed Bal, Roy's face changed from confusion to relief.

"Look, I'm back. He's the adventurer who took your request."

In his words the boy and the girl look back.

The boy rounded his red eyes and the girl sparkled his eyes of the same color.

"Wow, nice crocus! Your uncle brought it to you?

Bal sends flowers towards the girl who rushes over.

"Oh. Is this it?

"Yeah! Thanks!

The girl smiles and says thank you, then turns around.

"Look, brother! There was someone there to take it!

"Oh, yeah."

The boy who looks like his brother still looks incredible.

Apparently, you said to the girl, "There's no adventurer to take the request".

Did the girl satisfy her brother with her statement or turn back to Bal and thank him again.

"Thank you, uncle! Now I can give your mother flowers! Take the reward from the receptionist."

That's what the girl said, and her brother rushed after her.
