Chapter 115: The Great Lucas
Billions of Viltrumites were scattered across every corner of this planet, and even in the surrounding space.
They hunted and tore at each other, without pause, without rest.
Time lost all meaning in this sea of blood.
At first, Lucas killed with great satisfaction!
Viltrumites were indeed strong; compared to those Supes from the world of The Boys, they were the true warrior race, each possessing impressive strength, speed, and durability.
Yet, in front of Lucas, they were still too weak.
His strength was now even above Nolan’s, and among the Viltrumites, there were few who could go toe-to-toe with him.
Even so, during the slaughter, Lucas had his heart gouged out, his abdomen pierced, and even an arm torn off.
He was strong, but he couldn’t handle the Viltrumites’ lack of martial ethics—they were engaging in a damn gang-up!
Lucas used Super-speed Healing, stacking it with his regenerative abilities, recovering health while fighting, always staying at peak condition.
A super-warrior, combined with Super-speed Healing.
Talk about being underhanded!
Wherever his fists landed, no one could withstand more than a few rounds; there were only corpse after corpse falling down.
He was like the sharpest blade, reaping lives wantonly in this ocean of flesh and blood.
Until... he encountered the truly tough opponents.
These were a few existences that even Lucas had to take seriously.
The one-eyed female Viltrumite, named Anressa, had speed even faster than Lucas’s, and her attacks were tricky and lethal, each strike accurately targeting the most vital parts.
If Lucas were a normal Viltrumite, he would have been gutted by a single palm strike long ago.
There was also a burly man named Gromash; his clothes were torn to shreds by the wind of fists, but his exposed muscles were covered in scars, and his strength was terrifying to the extreme.
Every punch seemed to possess the terrifying power to shatter an asteroid.
There was a third, a fourth...
The combat power of these few Viltrumites was infinitely close to Lucas’s.
They were the batch of people who stood at the peak of Viltrum throughout history; in terms of age, some were even more senior than Conquest.
During the long battle, these people keenly sensed the unusual combat power on Lucas.
They surprisingly stopped their internal fighting by tacit agreement and turned their spears toward Lucas.
"Ha! This little brat has got some skills!"
"All together now!"
"I’ll measure his strength; don’t rush to kill him, I want to mate with him a few more times!"
More streams of light crazily swarmed toward Lucas from all directions.
Viltrumite Fist Wind!
Viltrumite Hand Blade!
Viltrumite Flying Kick!
Viltrumite Charge!
This group was simply extremely vicious, and Lucas was completely trapped in the center.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Terrifying attacks slammed fiercely into his body, tearing his clothes to shreds inch by inch.
Blood splattered everywhere!
If it were any other Viltrumite of the same level, being ganged up on by so many top experts to this extent would have already resulted in them being beaten into a blood mist.
But Lucas was different.
Just when those Viltrumites thought they had the victory in hand, they were amazed to discover.
That the young man, beaten until he was drenched in blood, had his hideous wounds healing at a terrifying speed.
The severed flesh tissues connected and repaired in an instant, and the bones recovered in the blink of an eye.
Super-speed Healing.
Viltrumites did not possess this talent; ordinary Viltrumites, while durable, required treatment and time to recover once they suffered serious injuries.
Most Viltrumites wouldn’t necessarily die if their bodies were pierced; as long as their hearts weren’t damaged, they could slowly recover.
But this was the Great Purge.
No one would treat you; a serious injury meant weakness, and a minor injury meant continuing to fight.
As long as you weren’t dead, you had to get up and fight!
Although Lucas was constantly sustaining injuries, people’s constitutions couldn’t be generalized.
He was purely a case of accumulating strength and unleashing it!
"You... what kind of monster are you!"
Anressa looked at the wounds on Lucas’s body, which were healing almost visibly to the naked eye, and for the first time, showed a look of shock.
"I am the most perfect Viltrumite!"
Lucas stood in the center of the siege by those few powerhouses and slowly raised his head.
The corners of his mouth curled into a cruel arc.
"Why should the weak care about such things."
"None of you will live to see tomorrow’s sun."
"Only the truly strong can stand atop the flesh and blood and achieve supreme glory."
"And that person..."
Lucas raised his thumb and pointed at himself.
"Is me!"
As the words fell.
His figure suddenly exploded.
"Boom!"
He competed in speed with Anressa and in strength with Gromash.
Several massive forces collided fiercely in mid-air.
In that instant, a visible Shockwave spread crazily in all directions with the two of them as the center.
The already riddled earth beneath their feet was forcibly torn open by the aftermath of this blow, creating a bottomless rift dozens of kilometers long.
Gromash let out a muffled grunt as his entire arm twisted and shattered at a bizarre angle!
And he himself was blasted away by Lucas’s punch, plunging into a mountain range at the edge of the sky, stirring up a sky full of dust.
Lucas did not give the others time to react.
He turned into an afterimage, instantly sweeping past Anressa, his hand blade lightly slicing across her neck.
"Pfft!"
Anressa’s one-eyed head slowly slid off her neck.
Slaughter!
Pure slaughter!
In this bloody Shura field, Lucas fought more bravely the longer he fought, and became more crazed the more he killed.
He didn’t even bother to deal with them one by one with his fists anymore.
He raised his eyes.
Crimson Omega Beams erupted from his eyes.
Wherever that destructive beam passed, swathes of Viltrumites were instantly pierced through.
Any enemy that fell within his line of sight could hardly escape death.
All had their hearts pierced.
Lucas had only operated the Omega Beams at full power once, when he destroyed Matt.
But his strength was weak back then.
Now, amidst this ultimate blossoming of power, he was like a deity, and a certain change had occurred within his field of vision.
When his gaze landed on each Viltrumite, he could actually see their long lives.
He saw an old veteran who had once fought bloody battles for the Empire in some interstellar war.
Emperor Argall personally praised him.
There was also a young man, on some planet, looking up for the first time at that vast starry sky belonging to the Viltrumites.
The Omega Beams had also evolved along with the growth of his strength.
A single glance, and he saw the other’s whole life.
Lucas had achieved ultimate tempering in this endless slaughter.
...
He didn’t know how long he had been killing.
Lucas’s reputation began to spread; some called him the Invincible, others called him the Evolver, and some even bestowed upon him the title of Great.
Because he stood tall and never stopped.
He defeated the Empire’s most elite warriors, never hesitating to strike, crisp and decisive!
He never formed cliques, remaining alone, aloof, and powerful!
...
The great Lucas was currently pondering a question: was there no residue of the scourge virus in his body?
Why hadn’t this bunch of Viltrumites been infected yet?
