Chapter 55: The first blood servant
"My name is Ronan."
"And I am an undead."
Yen’s eyes widened several degrees as she stared at Ronan’s new form.
An undead?
She had considered many possibilities, but undead had never been one of them.
But just as Yen was processing the revelation, a memory she had seemingly forgotten resurfaced.
After she finished killing those five people, she had returned and brought them to Ronan before losing consciousness.
At one point, she had awakened briefly.
She remembered seeing Ronan bent over the bodies, while the sound of chewing filled the room, as though he were eating them.
At first, she had thought it was merely a dream.
She hadn’t taken it seriously and had eventually forgotten about it.
But now...
It seemed that it had been real.
No wonder Ronan never ate food.
So that was the reason?
"After knowing that I am an undead... do you still desire this power?"
Ronan asked, his crimson eyes locked onto Yen observing her reaction.
Yen gulped.
Her master was actually an undead?
The crimson-eyed Maiden she had known was actually a bald male who looked like a ghost...
Terrifying.

Yen spoke softly as she clenched her fists.
She wanted revenge and she didn’t want to remain weak.
She wanted to finally be able to walk outside without hiding her appearance while still possessing enough strength to protect herself.

Ronan grinned as he walked closer to Yen.
He reached out and lifted her onto her feet.
Yen found herself staring at Ronan’s pale chest as his crimson eyes remained locked onto hers.
Then her head was gently turned to the side, exposing the fair skin of her neck.
Yen’s heart raced as she felt Ronan lean closer.
A hot breath tickled her ear, causing her face to flush.
Then..
A sharp pain.
Yen almost yelped.
A sensation like fire suddenly erupted within her body, spreading from her neck throughout her entire body.
Her knees buckled under this new sensation as Yen collapsed toward the ground with a grunt.
Intense pain overwhelmed her as her body spasmed violently.
Meanwhile, Ronan asked,
"Will she survive, System?"
He swallowed the sweet blood in his mouth.
He almost couldn’t contain himself.
Drinking blood was an incredibly addictive sensation.
He felt he might eventually grow to love it.
The sweet taste of that cold yet burning liquid sliding down his throat...
It was delicious.

The System’s response caused Ronan to frown.
Turning someone into a blood servant wasn’t easy.
A Ghoul Lord needed a corpse to create a ghoul, but Ronan had another option.
His Vampire Hybrid side.
One thing vampires could create, apart from ghouls, was Blood Servants.
However, unlike a pure vampire’s near-certain success rate, Ronan’s hybrid bloodline only gave him a fifty percent chance.
So now...
Everything depended on Yen’s luck.
Finally, after several minutes, Yen’s body gradually stopped convulsing.
Ronan watched her closely.
Her skin had become several times fairer.
Her eyes had turned crimson red.
A faint charm surrounded her, and combined with her already beautiful appearance...
It was like giving a gun to a mass murderer.
She had become several times more beautiful and alluring.
Even Ronan found himself staring at her face for a moment.
