The Extra who regained his past life memories

Chapter 133 - before the tournament

Sponsored

I woke up as usual.

But today was different.

A huge grin immediately appeared on my face.

Today was the day.

The tournament.

After weeks of preparation, countless sparring sessions, and months of training...

It was finally here.

I quickly got out of bed and looked at my status panel.

A satisfied smile appeared on my face.

I’ve improved quite a lot over the past year.

I got out of bed and headed to the washroom.

After taking a shower, I returned to my room, made my bed, changed into my clothes, and finally stepped outside.

The moment I left my room, I saw Luna standing nearby.

A warm smile immediately appeared on my face.

I quietly walked toward her.

As quietly as possible.

Then I reached behind her.

A mischievous grin spread across my face.

I coated my hand with ice, making it freezing cold.

Then I reached out and placed it against the back of her neck.

Luna immediately shuddered.

A violent jolt ran through her body as she took a step forward.

She slowly turned around.

Her eyes landed on me.

I was grinning from ear to ear.

A black line appeared on her forehead.

"Gray... you..."

I knew exactly what was coming.

So I ran.

I didn’t even wait to hear the rest of her sentence.

"You won’t get away!"

"Just you wait!"

I looked back while running.

"Oh, I’m so scared!"

"What am I going to do with an evil princess chasing me?"

Her expression became even angrier.

I laughed and ran faster.

Eventually, I reached the dining room.

I entered as if nothing had happened and calmly took my usual seat.

A few moments later, Luna entered.

She looked around.

At the same time, everyone’s eyes turned toward her.

She blinked once.

Twice.

Then she seemed to realize what had happened.

Her expression immediately returned to normal.

She calmly walked toward the seat beside me.

But there was a chilling smile hanging on her face.

I responded with a grin of my own.

She almost stumbled when she saw it.

Instead, she took a deep breath and composed herself.

After sitting down, she leaned slightly toward me.

"I’ll get you later."

"Don’t celebrate yet."

A shiver ran down my spine at the calmness in her voice.

But I kept smiling.

Soon, we began eating breakfast together.

Everyone talked about the tournament.

During the conversation, the Empress mentioned something that immediately caught my attention.

"After a week of the tournament, the Secret Realm will open."

My eyes lit up.

The tournament...

And then the Secret Realm?

Double fun!

I could barely contain my excitement.

Eventually, we finished breakfast and left the dining hall.

The other contenders had already departed before us.

The Empress had made sure of that.

I walked toward the carriage with a bright smile on my face.

But just as I was about to reach it—

I felt someone beside me.

Then a hard pinch landed on my arm.

"Ouch! Ouch! That hurts!"

Luna smiled sweetly.

"Oh, it hurts?"

"Good."

"It’s supposed to hurt."

She pinched me a little harder before finally releasing my arm.

"Hmph."

"This is what you get for pranking me."

She turned around and walked toward the carriage with a huff.

I rubbed my arm.

"Do you even have a heart?"

"How can you do this to me?"

"Ow..."

I heard a familiar teasing voice from behind me.

"Oh?"

"Little brother, you got beaten?"

"What did you do to her to make her do that?"

Amy was giggling.

A black line appeared on my forehead.

"Nothing!"

"It was just a small, harmless prank."

"I put an ice hand on her neck and ran to the dining hall."

"I even sat there and acted like nothing happened."

Amy stared at me for a few seconds.

Then she sighed.

But her giggles only became louder.

"Oh, so that’s what happened."

"I have to say, you deserved that."

"She handled the situation amazingly."

I looked at her in disbelief.

"Hey!"

"You’re supposed to be my sister!"

"You should be on my side!"

Amy simply shrugged.

"Why should I do that?"

"It’s much more fun this way."

I stared at her.

Then I finally understood.

I sighed.

"You all just enjoy bullying me."

I put on an exaggerated expression and walked toward the carriage.

Behind me, I heard Amy laughing.

"Hey!"

"Next time, at least try putting more effort into your acting!"

I almost stumbled.

I ignored her and finally climbed into the carriage.

Amy and Elena soon followed and took their seats.

Then I suddenly remembered something.

I reached into my Space Storage and pulled out two boxes.

I handed one to Amy and the other to Elena.

Amy tilted her head.

"Hmm?"

"What is this?"

I pulled out a few more boxes for Luna and myself.

"Remember the desserts I brought you last time when Luna and I went out?"

"I ordered some more and stocked them up."

Amy’s eyes immediately lit up.

"Really?"

"That’s amazing!"

She quickly opened the box, pulled out a dessert, and took a bite.

Her eyes closed as she enjoyed the taste.

Elena looked at her sister and sighed.

Then she opened her own box.

She looked at me and smiled.

"Thank you, Gray."

I simply waved my hand.

"It’s okay."

Luna and I opened our boxes as well and began eating.

The journey continued peacefully.

I looked outside the carriage as we traveled.

The scenery gradually changed.

This was a completely different location from anywhere we’d visited before.

A new place.

A new experience.

And, most importantly...

A new challenge.

We traveled for several hours.

Finally, our destination came into view.

It was a massive castle-like structure.

As our carriage approached, I could already see countless people moving around the area.

We entered through the enormous gates, and I immediately noticed something familiar.

Representatives and participants from many different races were gathered here.

Elves.

Dragons.

Beastmen.

Dwarves.

Phoenixes.

And many others.

I looked around with curiosity before turning toward the Empress.

"Aunt Auralia, where exactly are we?"

She smiled.

"Hmm... you could say this is neutral ground."

"All the races gather here to discuss important matters and handle various affairs."

"And since today’s event is important to everyone, this place was chosen to host the tournament."

I nodded.

That made sense.

A neutral territory where the major races could gather without one race having complete control over the others.

I looked outside again.

The massive grounds seemed almost like a city of their own.

There were enormous buildings, open spaces, magical structures, and countless people from different races moving around.

Luna and I couldn’t help ourselves.

We poked our heads out and looked around curiously.

Luna pointed toward different areas.

"Gray, look over there!"

"That race is..."

"And what’s that building?"

She kept pointing out different races and unusual locations.

I looked at everything with fascination.

There were so many things I’d never seen before.

Eventually, our carriage came to a stop.

Luna and I immediately climbed out.

But before we could take more than a few steps—

Amy placed one hand on each of our shoulders.

"Hey, you two brats."

"Don’t run around here."

Luna and I looked at each other.

Then we turned toward Amy with wounded expressions.

"What do you think we’re going to do?"

"We behave very well, you know."

Luna nodded seriously.

"Of course."

I nodded along.

"Exactly."

Amy looked at us for a moment.

Then an amused smile appeared on her face.

"Alright."

"I believe you two..."

"When pigs fly."

I thought about her words for a moment.

Then my eyes lit up.

"I think I can manage that after I get more used to my Space Affinity."

Amy immediately smacked me on the head.

Bonk!

"That isn’t the point!"

I rubbed my head.

"Ouch..."

Luna burst out laughing beside me.

I turned toward her and gave her a resentful look.

She only laughed harder.

"Why are you laughing?"

She covered her mouth, trying unsuccessfully to suppress it.

Amy shook her head with an amused smile.

"Come on."

"Let’s go inside."

We followed her toward the enormous castle-like building.

As we entered, I couldn’t help but look around again.

The scale of this place was incredible.

And judging by the number of powerful people gathered here...

The tournament was going to be far more interesting than I had imagined.
