"Of course it’s true, would this dragon lie to you?" Little River said.

"Yes, you wouldn’t lie to me, but how can I trust you? Quickly give me a reason to believe you!" Lin Fei said.

"Hehe, shall we go now? Not waiting for Little Fire?" Little Black asked.

"Yeah, there’s still Little Fire! Did you see where he went to?" Lin Fei countered.

Little Black shook his head, "Why do you have to ask me for everything? We agreed to meet here. Do you want to wait for him, or should we leave now if we’re not waiting?"

Lin Fei thought for a while, then finally decided, "Let’s wait a bit more, it’s not urgent anyway."

So the two continued waiting there for Little Fire.

But good times didn’t last long, Lin Fei and the others soon frowned as they heard noise coming from afar.

"What’s going on? Has Little Fire been discovered?" Lin Fei asked.

"Impossible, but that happens to be the direction of the treasure vault. Shall we check it out?" Little Black inquired, Lin Fei considered it and then nodded, "Let’s go check, but be cautious not to get discovered!"

"Hmm, take care of yourself, this dragon won’t be discovered by these mortals, let’s go!" Little Black finished speaking and swiftly flew away.

Lin Fei hurried to catch up, and the commotion from afar grew more distinct, "Catch the thief!"

Yes, they were catching a thief, which made Lin Fei and the others worry that it might be Little Fire. Meanwhile, the surrounding army was moving in that direction. Finally, Lin Fei reached a palace rooftop and looked into the distance, finding the army gathered, with a woman—specifically a very beautiful woman—dueling with a young man!

The young man could be described as talented and handsome, his appearance suggested a scholarly demeanor, and Lin Fei could tell he didn’t want to harm the woman, but the woman seemed to want his life at every turn.

"Qing Zi, have you had enough yet?" the young man said, his long sword shifted and shook, disarming the woman named Qing Zi.

Meanwhile, the young man’s long sword was already pointed at the woman.

The woman looked at the young man with tearful eyes, and said, "What’s wrong? I’m not done, why don’t you kill me? Go ahead and kill me!"

The woman stepped toward the young man, who retreated a few steps due to the long sword, preventing them from getting close. Finally, the young man even put down his long sword.

"Qing Zi, I really didn’t mean it, please forgive me." The young man said.

"Coward! Forgive my ass!" Qing Zi said and walked away, but surrounded by soldiers, it was impossible for anyone to make way—that is until the young man said, "Let her go!"

"Young master, but..."

"Let her go!"

The young man’s angry shout prompted everyone to fall silent, clearing a path for the woman to leave.

"Damn, who was that woman? She’s so impressive, was she the thief they caught?" Little Black asked.

"How would I know?" Lin Fei shrugged, arriving later than Little Black, so he couldn’t possibly know.

"I know!"

At this moment, suddenly a voice from behind Lin Fei and Little Black startled them, turning back they realized it was Little Fire himself, who had somehow returned and was standing behind them.

"Damn, Little Fire, you almost scared me to death." Lin Fei patted his chest, heart still racing as he had thought someone else had arrived.

"Master, you’re so timid, hahaha!" Little Fire laughed, his flames flickered enchantingly in the night.

"Not good!"

At that moment, Lin Fei and Little Black both exclaimed in alarm, as arrows suddenly shot through the air toward them, flying past their backs.

The laughing Little Fire had his mouth pierced, unable to laugh anymore, followed by countless arrows piercing through him, turning him into sparks that fell down.

Lin Fei was speechless but knew this harm didn’t affect Little Fire.

Finally, Lin Fei saw the soldiers’ strict discipline and at this moment, the young man also noticed Lin Fei, heading toward them.

"Who are you? You dare trespass the City Lord Mansion! What crime should you be punished with!" a general-looking middle-aged man, with a scruffy beard, said.

"Haha, I’m just here to retrieve something that belongs to us, don’t know if the young master can be accommodating?" Lin Fei said.

"You might say so, but how can you confirm the item is yours?" The young master had dealt with many such scoundrels before, thinking it just another excuse, so he generally wouldn’t pay attention.

But today, seeing Lin Fei, he felt a peculiar aura, prompting him to ask.

"This is tricky because I can’t reveal the truth now, but I hope for your support." Lin Fei smiled.

Then, Little Black suddenly chuckled, "You think you’re her father, giving you convenience..."

Hearing Little Black mock him, Lin Fei glared at him, making Little Black straighten his expression and stop laughing.

"Is the young master willing?" Lin Fei asked.

But the young master’s attention seemed diverted, and Lin Fei looked to find the other was staring at Little Black incessantly.

"Is he a Demon Beast?" the young master asked.

"Yes." Lin Fei nodded.

The young master realized and said, "Do you know who I am?"

"I know, the eldest son of the City Lord Mansion?" Lin Fei asked, having only found out after hearing someone address the young man that way earlier.

"Oh? You know me?"

"Not really, I just heard someone call you that earlier, so I addressed you similarly, hope you don’t mind?" Lin Fei said.

"Of course I don’t mind, but I want to tell you, my full name is Zhou Ziyu, the eldest son of the City Lord Mansion, and my hobby is Demon Beasts, do you understand?" Young Master Zhou Ziyu asked.

Lin Fei nodded, "I understand, but does this have anything to do with me?"

Zhou Ziyu smiled, "Of course it does."
