Chapter 68: Ziz vs White [3]
Out of curiosity, White continued to observe Ziz more carefully. Although in the current situation, she would definitely lose in close combat, she wasn’t afraid. She couldn’t win in a fight, but running away definitely wouldn’t be a problem.
She only needed a few seconds to notice that there was something wrong with the energy inside Ziz’s body. It wasn’t leaking out but was mysteriously disappearing. Moreover, at this rate, it wouldn’t be long before Ziz had less energy than White.
"Ziz! I figured it all out. You’re afraid you won’t be able to beat me later, right?"
Having seen through Ziz, White grinned because she felt that if things continued like this, she was sure to win. If she won, then she could take Ziz away as a pet. No matter how stubborn Ziz was, without energy, what could he use to fight her?
"You insolent mortal, how dare you call my name directly? Go to hell!"
Ziz didn’t want to say much and directly unleashed his ultimate move. Now that he’d been exposed, he couldn’t waste any more time talking to her.
Terrifying black lightning covered the sky, and the air became so heavy that even White felt a little short of breath.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but I am definitely going to heaven."
White curled her lips and put on a pair of golden gloves. The fists of the gloves had sharp spikes that greatly increased their piercing power. This weapon was naturally made mainly from spirit stones and had been crafted by the most powerful awakened blacksmith in this world.
Using her body as the center, a holy white aura spread out for several miles.
Inside her own domain, the negative effects caused by Ziz were weakened until they became completely harmless to White.
White used almost all of her energy to buff her own strength to the maximum. To be fair, Ziz’s current energy was still greater than hers, but with a bunch of buffs from her abilities along with the ability to cleanse most negative effects, she wouldn’t lose.
The terrifying black lightning in the sky now merged together. The world-destroying aura from earlier disappeared along with it.
They had started as lightning, but after merging together, they became a pitch-black flame surrounding an entire ocean of thunder within.
"You will pay the price for your arrogance."
Ziz was indeed exactly like the system. He was clearly extremely arrogant, yet shamelessly claimed that White was the arrogant one.
The black flame fell from the sky. Its speed wasn’t particularly impressive, probably about the same as someone falling freely from the sky.
"You’re the arrogant one. Just wait until you run out of energy, and I’ll show you how I’m going to train you into my obedient little chick."
Although White talked big, the look in her eyes clearly showed what she was thinking. The falling flame wasn’t fast, but it had locked onto her, leaving her with no choice but to move forward instead of retreating or running away.
White activated her ability to cleanse negative effects to the maximum. Ziz naturally saw this clearly, so he also used all his energy to stop her.
"Don’t even think about escaping. Mortal, it’s time for you to tremble before the great Ziz."
If he let her escape, Ziz would definitely lose because this attack was already his all-in move. If it failed to hit this time, he could only return to Nexus in shame.
"Come on! Let me show you just how strong your future master is."
Since she couldn’t run, White would just go all the way. She would get injured, but with all the buffs on her right now, it wouldn’t be a big problem.
Holy white light covered White’s entire body, making her look like a dazzling star shooting straight into the black flame.
The contrasting black and white colors clashed fiercely. The terrifying energy explosion released a terrifying shockwave in every direction like a nuclear bomb. If this continued, the shockwave would sweep across the entire dungeon and destroy everything, including the monsters and Mark.
[What the hell is that fat chicken doing? I have to clean up the mess for him again.]
The system was extremely annoyed by this blinding scene. How dare they openly ruin Mark’s second lesson?
The system’s power wasn’t something these puny energies could compare to. The shockwave could have flattened the entire massive dungeon, but in an instant, the system erased it, leaving not even the slightest trace behind.
Except for the few miles around the center of the battlefield that had been smashed apart, everything around them was still fine as if nothing had happened.
The system could repair everything if it wanted to, but there was no need. The center of the battlefield had already been destroyed, and besides, that place wasn’t too important for Mark’s training.
"Pretty cool. One black and one white, this coincidence is pretty interesting."
Nexus didn’t consider this tiny explosion anything scary. To him, this was basically an artistic fireworks show combining two contrasting colors.
[Interesting my ass! If I hadn’t intervened, Mark would’ve been killed by that shockwave just now. This is all your fault, stupid master. If you hadn’t let that stupid fat chicken run around freely, there wouldn’t have been this much trouble.]
Although its words were extremely unpleasant, the smugness in the system’s voice was obvious. The system was happy because Ziz not only failed to show off after going out, but was even treated like a pet that a mortal wanted to take home.
"You seem pretty happy, huh?"
[Where am I happy? Stupid master, are your eyes just as useful as your brain?]
Having been hit right in the sore spot, the system immediately tried to change the subject and lie its way out of this situation. How could the great system possibly let Nexus think it was happy just because a fat chicken had bad luck?
At the center of the battlefield, everything had also stopped. Both Ziz and White felt the absolute power of the system.
"Cough cough, are you kidding me? What the hell is that ridiculous power? Even an SSS-rank hunter shouldn’t be this ridiculous."
The system’s ridiculous power made White even ignore the fact that her clothes had already turned pitch black from being struck by lightning.
