The rise of the pervert primordial

Angela was genuinely surprised to hear that Aster had come for her, don’t get it wrong she quite wanted to have some quality time with him, but according to the "intel" she had gathered, there were still some girls that Aster hadn’t personally visited and the day was about to end, at most he had time for one or two more stops and in her mind, it still shouldn’t be her turn after that.

’Heh, she is still too "logical" for her own good, how cute’, thought Aster, if you followed logical thinking, taking that glasses-wearing girl by surprise would be impossibly hard.

Which might make it sound as if Angela is weak against hard to predict patterns, but that’s not the case in the slightest, Aster has been able to best her a second time, because he both had gathered intel on par with hers and because he is hard to predict.

Only if those two conditions are met, would one be able to actually surprise the receptionist girl, and that’s not easy at all, throughout her life only Aster had managed to do so and amusingly enough in both cases in which she had tasted defeat, the experience was not only not negative, but she actually ended up liking it, something that was completely against Angela’s expectations.

"It’s fine, we have practically finished here, I’ll take the last notes and wrap things up so she can go rest early for a change", said Mikaela which returned Angela to the real world.

’Just like I cooperated to help miss Eris be "kidnapped" I was also schemed against but with miss Mikaela’s help... it’s my loss~’, thought the receptionist girl, she never expected Aster to get her like this, since she had helped him with Eris, so by logic the same trick wouldn’t be used in presence of those that saw Eris’s being "kidnapped", but that was exactly what happened.

"Let’s go", said Aster, their little private time had already started, she being bested by Aster’s plans was already a "reward" in itself, it was a mind battle, one that she lost and would learn from.

"Mm", with a small nod, contrary to what the girls doing battle formation training expected, Angela didn’t refuse and left alongside Aster.

"Woah, I had never seen sister Angela leaving early...", mumbled a girl from the red sword.

"Yeah, she is always the most diligent of all, I don’t think there has been a case in which she doesn’t return to the camp last by taking care of the most tedious tasks", added a girl from the black sword.

"On the other hand, that’s senior brother Aster we are talking about, if there is something that extremely diligent sister Angela would like more than tedious tasks, that would have to be spending time with him~", concluded a girl from the green lotus.

"Ahem, you all stop daydreaming, since Angela left midway, we’ll repeat the last round of training from the beginning, so hurry up and get in your assigned positions", said Mikaela, which resulted in a few soft complains that could be heard by a certain glasses-wearing girl.

"This feels a bit wrong", mumbled Angela who was walking next to Aster as they crossed the area of the camp to reach the shore of the lake.

"Why, because you left midway through something for a first, or because it shouldn’t have been your "turn" with me, yet?", jokingly said Aster which made the receptionist girl pout as she accommodated her glasses.

"Am I that easy to see through?", she asked to which Aster laughed as he shook his head.

"No way, I had to ask a lot of girls to keep an eye on you and got a book’s worth of notes regarding your schedule and that was just for today, only then was I able to confirm that you absolutely weren’t expecting me to pay you a visit today", said Aster to then jokingly add.

"Well, the part about the thrill you are feeling over letting something unfinished was easy though, you are quite the honor student, so even "skipping class" with the school’s permission would be unthinkable by you".

Angela’s pretty face reddened a bit, even what she considered "rebellious" would be considering boring by most people’s standards, Aster found it cute though.

"Ahem, I do get the amusement that making me leave a task unfinished for a change brought, but why did you choose me, as far as I know you haven’t visited Tiana, Vivian or Dahlia, there is also Erick and Sophia...", she mumbled.

Another important thing about Angela is that she absolutely couldn’t stand being left with doubts, besides feeling the necessity to run background checks on others, another thing that prevented her from getting close to anyone was that "bad" habit of hers, which is quite open to misinterpretations.

Just think about it for a moment, Aster clearly wanted her to take a break from work, but instead of taking things slow, she was focused in solving her doubts, what’s more, such a question could be considered rude and even unpleasant, after all, all the mentioned people have known Aster for a way longer time than her and are objectively closer to him than her as well.

But that’s what Aster likes about Angela, someone like her who is meticulous not out of malice but by nature is a good friend to have, if you have nothing to hide, and Aster just happens to be that kind of person as he conducts himself with the exact same principles be it on the surface or behind the scenes, his methods might be completely different but his principles remain the same, therefore he has nothing to hide from that curious girl’s pretty hazel eyes.

"These visits were meant to either reward those that have put a lot of effort, needed some attention on my end or whom I had an important matter to discuss with, some hit more than one mark at the time though, I simply followed an urgency-based turn order, those whom I had not particularly spent time with are those who have no problem waiting for the next time", he said.

Aster wasn’t lying, Tiana and Erick don’t really need him in particular right now, unlike their mother who was in a pinch, Vivian could compete with Kana for the trophy to the happiest girl in the camp currently, Dahlia was also perfectly fine, maybe Sophia needed some help to civilize that dumb boyfriend of hers, but she had Tiana for that, Erick had his training covered by his fierce girlfriend and sister as well.

"In your case, well, those pretty hazel eyes of yours have been looking a bit sleepy since yesterday so you need to take it easy at least for the rest of the day, miss Valentina, miss Mikaela and myself all agree that we can’t have our "Regent" collapse midway through the next week", said Aster.

Angela’s profession is "Regent", you can think of it as the maximum rank an "administrator" can obtain, she is to be in charge if an assigned authority is indisposed by whatever reason it might present, in other words she can fulfill the role of every single leader on their stead shall the need for it arise.

Of course, she is not a simple back up but actually has her own assignments to take care of, plus she has to be ready to cover for any of the previously mentioned, in fact, in absence of Aster, Valentina and Mikaela she is officially the next one in command on the camp, while Mina is the one in charge of battle under similar circumstances.

Just by that you can imagine that Angela’s mental fortitude is quite something, she always went to sleep last among the authorities and woke up earlier than everyone, then took care of coordinating every project, organize the girls of the sect, rotate them efficiently to complete every daily mission and took note of the progress of the camp in every single aspect, she did so without showing any signs of tiredness for five whole days.

She didn’t only do so because she likes taking care of such things, that’s the requirement for her profession manual’s mission, "Polymath Multi-task Master" is the name of her manual, a polymath is already supposed to be someone with deep knowledge and skills from numerous completely different fields, and she also had the multi-task master part added to the name of her manual.

So, it’s not hard to guess what her mission is about, basically handling unusual large amounts of workload from many different fields, and she was acing it perfectly so far.

It was only yesterday that it became noticeable that she needed to relax, it’s not like she wasn’t sleeping enough or anything of the like, she perfectly handled her own schedule even, she quite literally just needed to take her head out of work and that was it, but after seeing that she was not going to do it on her own, is that Aster decided to give her a little push.

"Here, we are going to wait for the sun to go down while laying down in this place, until then, it is forbidden to talk about work", said Aster as he laid down, they were on the wood dock that the girls of the sect had built to reach far into the lake.

Speaking of the lake, the water had a pretty orange light shining on its surface as the sun was dimming at the last moments before night came.

"I... had never stopped to watch a sunset without thinking on anything else, it’s not bad", mumbled Angela as she followed Aster and laid down on the dock not too far from him.

"You can treat it as "training" if that helps you distract your mind, I’ll prepare an even better sunset experience for you to relax once we are back at the valley", said Aster, which made Angela’s pretty hazel eyes sparkle.

"Mm", she limited herself to nod and pretty much as Aster asked her to, she remained silent and simply laid down waiting for the sun to completely disappear, at some point her breathing slowed down and she actually fell asleep.

’And now, time for a little "reward" on my end for all your hard work’, amusingly thought Aster as he gently carried the receptionist girl like a princess to then walk into the camp.

"Look senior brother is carrying sister Angela while she is sleeping".

"T-That direction, is he bringing her towards his room!".

As expected, seeing the previous drew the attention of a lot of people, mostly those cute curious girls, of course Aster was just bringing Angela towards her own room, which was in the log cabin opposite to his, it’s just that the direction was the same.

"Here, don’t wake her until dinner", said Aster as he took off Angela’s glasses and handed both the sleeping princess and her glasses to Valentina who was coming out of her room after having a bath since she had finished her own tasks for the day.

"You are quite the evil guy you know", mumbled the purple lightning princess, poor Angela was of course going to be questioned into oblivion by lots of curious girls later and this would continue at least for a few days, considering the "compromising" situation which they had seen her in, a moment ago.

"I plead guilty", jokingly said Aster as he shrugged to then enter his own log cabin, he was finished for the day so a nice bath before dinner and night activities was a nice idea.

’That being said, no matter how much she packs her own schedule with work, her mind will have no choice but to relax whenever she is reminded of this by those girls, turns out a Drage can be more "dangerous" as a friend than as a suitor huh...’, thought Valentina as she softly laughed to her insides to then let Angela rest on her bed, there was still around an hour before dinner would be served.

After taking a quick shower and resting alone, Aster came out of his room fresh as a lettuce, just in time for a delicious smell to spread through the camp, when it was time to eat, the ones in kitchen duty always removed the lids from the pots and other cooking ware they used, it was a "third call" kind of thing to let everyone know it was time for them to gather for a meal.

"Dinner is ready", said Aster to the girls on the cabin log opposite to his who were hanging around at its entrance, this included a bed with a noticeable "bump" that could be seen on the back, that was Angela who had woken up and had the memory of herself falling asleep, come back to her, to then naturally guess that Aster carried her to her bed, which is almost what happened, he didn’t enter the other cabin log out of respect for the other girls that were living there though.

Which allowed quite a few to let out a sigh of relief, let’s just say that not everyone was that organized, if Aster had stepped in, he could have caught a glimpse of a few "compromising" clothes laying on the ground of the room, and other embarrassing details like that.

The moment Aster sat down, he had that pair of little girls jump onto his lap, surprisingly Alice didn’t interfere, in fact she was all smiles, not that it was hard to know why, there would be night activities today as well, so she didn’t mind letting Kana win a "battle" if she was going to win the "war" in exchange.

"Your evil intentions can be seen on your face, shameless dragon princess", said Aria to which Alice retorted.

"Those are some big words for the one who has to make the most effort to contain her voice~".

"Now, now, keep your fighting spirit for later", added Sarina as she placed the last plate to then sit down next to Aster.

"So, now that you have shown your "fangs", are you finally joining in the fun or what, Camila?", asked Alice unceremoniously like usual, to which the treasure girl who was about to take a spoon of her vegetable soup nearly spill it by accident.

"I... will still say no, but I’m indeed planning to participate more actively in times like these", said Camila as she sat on the remaining seat next to Aster to then offer him a spoon of her soup personally, she had taken Aria’s seat for herself!

Well, the ice princess couldn’t complain either, Camila was not participating in night activities so she would have more of Aster’s attention later, it was fair for her to have one of the two closest seats.

"Woah, Cami has gotten so "savage" in just a few days", jokingly said Mylene to which Eris nodded in agreement.

"Mm, very much like a "hungry" wolf", she said, making the treasure girl’s face redden on the spot, while others softly laughed, as always dinner was quite the experience for the group, they especially seemed relaxed even though they knew that from tomorrow onwards things would probably get more dangerous than they already were.

"Everyone don’t go to sleep too late, let’s be ready just in case we have some "surprise" events to deal with early in the morning", said Aster to everyone.

"Understood senior brother!", exclaimed the girls of the sect in unison and with that he was dragged away by Alice who held onto him with her tail, while Sarina and Aria rushed to prevent the wild dragon princess from trying to monopolize Aster for herself.

After a few hours of fun and once Camila, Kana and the little wyrm had returned to the room, everyone fell asleep while preparing for the next week of events, Aster made a visit to Lilia and Rya as well and actually waited in the mind space until around 2 am, because he wanted to confirm something.

[The result of the fifth day’s evaluation has been successfully reviewed, as compensation for the delay, unofficial grading was done for the sixth and seventh days and added to the total result, grading is five stars Unique grade, two unique benefits and two unique privileges will be granted upon confirmation by the representative of the group, additionally a unique camp mission will be offered]

’So as compensation we got extra grading for the last two days, that’s probably a way to make up for the other supervisors rushing things up and cutting our development week’s daily grading rewards short, which the blue flaming board worked in for us’.

’It’s also the first-time unique benefits are mentioned and we got two of them, two unique privileges instead of one, as well as a unique camp mission which is also a new thing, a unique reward for each star, that’s probably as good as it can get, not bad’, thought Aster.

Unique missions have big rewards in exchange for their harsh conditions, so he counted that as a reward, and since it is a unique type, it means that no one can get that mission unless they fail to complete it in the given time.

With his mind in peace Aster nodded as he left the mind space, he needed to know if the blue flaming board would return before the events of the next week started, now that he had confirmed it, Aster could leave the mind space and sleep normally, though Lilia of course tried to "trap" him with her wings to keep him with her, like mother like daughter after all.

While the night passed without any notorious situation for the myriad occupation sect’s side, including Regina who was still a couple of hours away from reaching the camp at the west but was happily enjoying a nice flight during night, things were completely different in that same direction but way further into the distance.

"Damn Blue Sky, two whole days to travel a distance that would have taken me a couple of seconds before", cursed a black shadow figure as it passed through a wetland area to reach a drier land, finally arriving at his destination, in a sense because the black shadow then soared into the sky.

More accurately towards a giant cloud that if one observed carefully, was static unlike others which were being carried by the wind as they should be.

"Hey, you bastard, what is the big idea behind not answering to our...", the black shadow made his way into the static cloud which was actually the residence of the Red Cloud supervisor which Aster had cut with his sword, only to freeze on the spot as he saw the insides of the static cloud.

There was a mess instead of the refined castle-like scene made with clouds which used to welcome those that visited red cloud, there were craters here and there, deep impact marks, but more importantly... everything was burned black, including some small bits of clouds that were laying down on different parts of the residence.

"W-What the hell is this!", shouted the black shadow, to then feel everything around him tremble, it had not been even a few seconds after he stepped into the static cloud and the thing crumbled apart on the spot, it was as if it had just been waiting for someone to see this scene before disappearing.

’Avatars, clones and projections don’t leave anything behind when they are destroyed, those were without a doubt, pieces of red cloud’s avatar and even if they were there, I couldn’t feel an ounce of that guy’s presence on them, don’t tell me!!!’, inwardly screamed the black shadow as the words of the purple flag supervisor flashed through his mind "Leave or die".

Apparently, the blue flaming board had come to pay visit to the red cloud which ended in the latter dying, something that as far as the black shadow knew, shouldn’t be possible, even if the blue flaming board was way stronger than them, destroying their avatars and other manifestations while causing them some pain was the limit, that was an iron set rule, or that was supposed to be the case.

’Did Blue Sky grow stronger while it was isolated from the eastern zone, no, there is no way, even when three of the strongest joined hands they were unable to even make the primary rules flinch in the slightest, there is no way Blue Sky alone could do it, but if we can be killed then...’

"I have to get out of this zone", concluded the black shadow as he took out a small ash gray stone and crushed it, ash gray light emerged from it but the moment it gathered to form a portal it exploded in fierce blue flames which consumed it on the spot.

And that’s not all, when he tried to communicate with others, to his horror he realized that his communication method was not working anymore, the black shadow looked upwards and a shiver ran down his spine, it was as if a pair of disdainful eyes were looking down on him from the endless sky above.

"A-A barrier, damn you Blue Sky!", shouted the black shadow as it turned into a flash that flew as fast as possible, the only way to feel safe now was to reunite with the other supervisors that were in the same boat as him.
