Chapter 1360 - 1356: Why Did You Push Her Down?

In the past three days, Constantine Stewart has been lukewarm towards her. While other male guests either carry or support the female guests, Constantine always walked on foot, letting her sit on the camel without ever looking at her, his gaze constantly following Chloe Winston.

Anger, jealousy, and panic intertwined within her. Wendy Starling clutched the jade pendant in her arms tightly and spoke coolly, "Chloe, do you know who I met in Paris before joining this reality show?"

Chloe Winston stood still, turned to look at her with a calm gaze.

"It was Winter’s mom. In the three years you’ve been married, you’ve never been to France or met Winter’s relatives, have you?" Wendy Starling revealed a pure smile and said, "Winter has proposed to me, and we’re planning to get married at the end of the year."

Wendy Starling had long had someone thoroughly investigate Chloe Winston’s affairs over the years, so she felt somewhat confident in spouting lies.

"Miss Wendy." Chloe Winston interrupted her coldly, "You don’t need to tell me about you and Constantine Stewart, and by the way, your overemphasis on your relationship with him is a sign of insecurity. I thought he would have married you half a year ago, especially considering the speed you two scumbags got together was quite rapid."

The words ended with a sneer.

"If you hadn’t taken my identity, could you have enjoyed six years of a worry-free life? Could you have known Constantine Stewart?" Wendy Starling burned with anger and angrily retorted, "I don’t know what tricks you pulled to know that Constantine and I were coming to this reality show. If you have any sense of shame, you should tell the director you want to quit."

"Everyone earns a living with their abilities, so why should I quit?" Chloe Winston chuckled indifferently, "If you have the ability, keep a good eye on Constantine Stewart."

"Do you really want to oppose me?" Wendy Starling’s face had turned extremely ugly.

Chloe Winston was already tired of talking about such meaningless topics with her and turned to leave.

Wendy Starling grabbed her, then screamed and fell off a small sand dune.

Chloe Winston was momentarily stunned, watching expressionlessly as Wendy Starling rolled down the not-very-high sand dune; the crew rushed over, the male guests quickly came, the director and the cameraman hurried over, creating a slightly chaotic scene.

Constantine Stewart walked in front, signaling the cameras not to film, then found the injured Wendy Starling, his expression slightly cold as he carried her towards the tent.

The director quickly instructed to cut the live broadcast, and they all swarmed around to check Wendy Starling’s injuries. If an accident occurred during the reality show, it could become a big issue.

"Chloe, what exactly happened? Did you push Wendy Starling down just now?" Wendy Starling rushed over, grabbing Chloe Winston anxiously and asked.

Chloe Winston shook her head; she hadn’t even touched Wendy Starling.

"Damn, that bitch must have orchestrated her own fall. No wonder she screamed so loud. When we turned around, it looked like you pushed her." Wendy Starling gestured the action at that moment, quickly figuring out the key point. She and Wendy Starling were sworn enemies and knew how vicious this woman’s methods were.

"Come on, I’ll take you to confront her. If you let her smear you, your future is over. No idea if the cameraman captured her fall. This bitch’s acting is mediocre, but she’s a pro at pretending to be a fake innocent." Wendy Starling hurriedly dragged her towards the tent.

Wendy Starling didn’t fall lightly; after falling, even though the height was low, the place was covered with fine sand, causing abrasions all over.

As Chloe Winston and Wendy Starling arrived at the tent, they saw Constantine Stewart coolly feeding her medicine, speaking in a low tone, "Wendy, you have asthma and can’t handle any shock, so stand back a bit."

Wendy Starling’s whole body was injured, and she had an asthma attack. After taking medicine and catching her breath, she buried herself in Constantine Stewart’s arms, sobbing, "Winter, don’t blame Chloe. She didn’t mean to push me."

Constantine Stewart gently patted her back, spoke in a low tone, "Mm, your abrasions need treatment, I’ll apply some medicine for you."

Wendy Starling saw this and was about to speak in anger, but Chloe Winston stopped her, shaking her head faintly. The crew hurried to fetch the first-aid kit as Constantine Stewart silently carried Wendy Starling into the tent to tend to her wounds.

Due to the sudden accident, the live broadcast was interrupted, and combined with the ambiguity between Wendy Starling and Constantine Stewart and the issue of Chloe Winston allegedly pushing Wendy Starling, the scene was very tense and awkward, with everyone remaining silent and casting strange looks at Chloe Winston.

"The injuries aren’t severe, there’s no major problem." Charles Taylor examined Wendy Starling’s injuries, walked to Chloe Winston, and reassured her faintly, "Wendy, you stay with Chloe, I’ll go and discuss with the director to minimize the impact of this incident."

The suddenly cut live stream and the actors’ unnatural expressions made it apparent that the viewers knew something unexpected had happened. It wasn’t the time to assign blame but to find ways to cover up the incident.

"Chloe, what exactly happened?" Desmond Wood grew angry as he noticed the strange looks shot at Chloe Winston, "I wouldn’t believe it for a second that you’d push Wendy Starling. Did that woman think you were easy to bully?"

With Desmond Wood’s outburst, Wendy Starling trembled slightly and weakly said, "No, Chloe didn’t push me. It was my own fall. Don’t misunderstand her. She’s not that kind of person."

The more Wendy Starling explained, the darker it painted Chloe Winston. Everyone’s gaze grew even stranger, not expecting Chloe Winston to be this kind of person.

"Desmond, stop talking. Come with me," Chloe Winston said coolly, offering no explanation and walked towards her tent.

Desmond Wood followed, angry, seeing her little face lonely, showing only a small pair of dark eyes, wanting to tear off Wendy Starling’s hypocritical face.

"Did Delphine ask you to come?" Chloe Winston sat on a small mat in front of the tent and spoke faintly.

"How did you know?" Desmond Wood exclaimed and then quickly covered his mouth.

"I guessed it. Besides Delphine, who else would help me this way?" Chloe Winston said faintly, watching everyone gathering around Wendy Starling, her gaze slightly dim.

"Chloe, don’t be sad anymore. It’s just a pair of jerks. In the future, your brother will find you a better man, alright?" Desmond Wood sat beside her, consoling her.

"You shouldn’t target Constantine Stewart and Wendy Starling in the future. Constantine Stewart isn’t as gentle and harmless as he seems. If you anger him, not even Delphine can protect you, and Delphine is pregnant. Would you want her to worry about these trivial matters?" Chloe Winston said faintly.

"But I can’t just watch them bully you," Desmond Wood said softly.

"Only when you are strong will others not bully you. I will try to become strong," Chloe Winston patted his shoulder and forced a faint smile.
