Chapter 1550 - 220 - Sins Vs. Leon And Lucielle (3)
I imbued both of my fists with mana, and the moment I finished doing that, I charged straight toward them without wasting another second. Instead of relying on weapons or flashy techniques, I met them head-on with nothing but my fists and the strength flowing through my body. They reacted immediately, weaving around every punch I threw while launching attacks of their own at the exact same time. The fight quickly turned into a relentless exchange of offense and defense, with all three of us attacking and dodging almost simultaneously because none of us was willing to give the others even the slightest opening to exploit.
"Now that you’ve betrayed us, Lucielle, I guess it’s finally fine for me to say that I’ve always hated you!" Levi shouted.
"Good," I replied without the slightest hesitation. "Because the feeling is mutual, and I’ve never pretended otherwise."
We continued exchanging blow after blow without showing even a hint of hesitation or remorse toward one another. Our fists, blades, and mana clashed continuously, making it feel as though the battle itself had no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
All of my punches were aimed directly at one of them, but both Levi and Morsea were unbelievably fast. Even though my attacks carried enough force to shatter the ground beneath our feet, actually landing a clean hit on either of them was an entirely different matter. They slipped past my fists with precise and efficient movements, making it frustratingly difficult to connect with even a single solid punch.
At the same time, Levi once again began spreading her mana throughout the air, filling the battlefield with invisible traces that could explode whenever she wished. Meanwhile, Morsea swung her blade at a frightening speed, making each slash cut through the air with deadly precision. Even though I could still react quickly enough to dodge every strike coming my way, I couldn’t honestly say I would be able to keep avoiding them forever if this battle continued dragging on at this pace.
"You’ve become a lot stronger, Lucielle," Morsea said while continuing to attack without slowing down in the slightest. "I honestly never thought you’d reach this level. It feels similar to the time Mother granted us our strength. So... was it Mother’s vessel who gave you this power?"
Even in the middle of an intense battle where a single lapse in concentration could easily cost someone their life, Morsea still managed to analyze everything happening around her. Her ability to stay calm while fighting and deduce the source of my newfound strength at the same time was honestly impressive, even if she happened to be my enemy at the moment.
"I don’t have anything to say to you," I replied as I pulled my fist back before driving it forward again with every bit of strength I possessed. "If you don’t want to die, then stop wasting your breath and focus on the fight instead of asking pointless questions."
The moment my punch came flying toward them, both Morsea and Levi reacted almost instantly without wasting a single movement. They flipped backward with perfect coordination before taking to the air to widen the distance between us, narrowly avoiding the strike that would have connected otherwise. Even though I continued attacking as fast as I possibly could, they refused to let even one of my punches land cleanly against them.
The same thing applied to their attacks as well. Neither of them could land a decisive hit on me despite how relentlessly they continued trying to overwhelm me from different angles throughout the battle.
Despite Levi continuously leaving traces of mana throughout the battlefield in preparation for another series of explosions, I refused to let any of them catch me off guard. Every blast erupted either behind me or somewhere to my side as I slipped through the smallest openings with careful timing, refusing to give either of them the satisfaction of seeing me get caught in one of their attacks. At this point, it almost felt like we were competing to see who would make the first mistake, and honestly, I wasn’t planning on volunteering for that role.
The battle became nothing but a constant back-and-forth exchange that refused to end. One side would launch an attack, only for the other side to avoid it before immediately retaliating. Our movements never stopped, and neither did the pressure we kept placing on one another throughout the fight.
Neither side managed to gain a clear advantage over the other despite everything we had thrown into the battle so far. Both sides continued pushing forward with everything they had while refusing to back down even a single step.
Neither side managed to land the decisive blow that would finally tip the scales in their favor. The longer the battle continued, the more obvious it became that brute force alone wasn’t going to decide the outcome.
For all intents and purposes, the battle had reached a complete stalemate that neither side seemed capable of breaking through by ordinary means. That realization hung heavily over the battlefield as our attacks continued without either making meaningful progress.
That stalemate, however, came to an abrupt end when something completely unexpected happened before any of us could react.
Without any warning whatsoever, both Morsea and Levi suddenly stopped attacking at the exact same time.
I was already in the middle of throwing another punch, but the moment I noticed them freeze in place, I immediately halted my own movement as well. Their eyes were no longer focused on me anymore, and instead, they were staring at something far behind my back with expressions that I had never seen from either of them before.
Curious about what could possibly make both of them stop fighting so suddenly, I slowly turned around to look in the same direction they were staring.
The moment I saw what had captured their attention, I couldn’t hide the shock spreading across my face no matter how hard I tried to remain composed.
"Satania... lost?" Morsea muttered, sounding as though she couldn’t even believe the words leaving her own mouth.
She was absolutely right about what she had just witnessed.
Leon was still standing firmly on his feet without showing any signs that he was about to collapse. His breathing remained steady, and his posture hadn’t faltered despite everything that had happened during the battle.
Meanwhile, Satania had been knocked down onto the ground after their fight had finally come to an end.
Belphegor, Beelzebub, and Asmodeus were lying nearby as well, their bodies completely motionless where they had fallen during the battle.
All three of them were still alive, but every single one of them had already been rendered completely unconscious by the time I looked over.
Satania, however, was still awake despite everything that had happened.
She remained on the ground while gritting her teeth so hard that blood slowly trickled from the corner of her lips before running down her chin in thin streams. Even in that condition, she refused to look away from Leon for even a second, her eyes burning with frustration, anger, and complete disbelief over the outcome before her.
"You lost," Leon said calmly, his voice carrying neither arrogance nor excitement, as though he were simply stating an undeniable fact.
